  • A soil test should be done on your soil first. You really donot need that many additives.

    @corinne7126@corinne712616 күн бұрын
    • I've never done a soil test and I've grown more world record tomatoes and eggplant than anyone else has ever grown so I think that is proof of what I'm doing,I've learned in the 50+ yrs of growing how to read the plants health and adjust the amendments accordingly, I'm not trying to brag I'm just stating the facts. You certainly don't have to do what I'm doing and you can certainly grow nice tomatoes another way but I like to grow nutrient dense food knowing that it has all the minerals to keep us well,if your soil doesn't have all the minerals in it neither will your produce! It may seem like a lot of amendments but remember most of it is compost. Have a blessed day!

      @GardeningHomesteadingWoodwork@GardeningHomesteadingWoodwork16 күн бұрын
  • I love your videos but if I have to buy all those amendments it gets spendy. If you tally up all the amendments on your list in the description it’s way over $500 Maybe your idea of not expensive is $500 but for someone with not much of a budget that is a lot. If anyone wants to financially support my garden please send money. The Tilther alone is $600.

      @GardeningHomesteadingWoodwork@GardeningHomesteadingWoodwork17 күн бұрын
    • Not sure how you came up with 500.00 for amendments, but I'll assure you that isn't correct! Most of what is put on is compost which cost 2.25 per cubic foot,the rest of the amendments cost about 5.00 so 7.25 to amend 120 square ft I believe is very reasonable.
