The handles in the passenger seat are for the passenger to steady themselves when it gets bumpy. And if you were to build some revs or dump the clutch that Sand version will pop a wheelie and hold it through a gear or two. This is by far the best sand buggy currently in BeamNG. The TrackFab Apache is a close second, but this one wheelies so it gets first place, plus the Apache doesnt have an RC car and a bunch of props on the roof.
The handlebars on the passengers' side are the 'OH, SH**!' grips. Great video, Neil!
Hahaha i just commented that. I grew up traveling from Nebraska to Moab, Farmington, Las Cruzes etc for ARCA events (early rock crawling events) and it was ALWAYS called the “Oh Shit” handles

the thing on the right is basically a handle, like on a roller coaster, i rode in a side by side with one, the lady driving was crazy we went over 80, and did donuts and jumps, i like the handle it kept me in

I think the meshes where windows would normally be are for preventing the driver or other 3 passengers from being hit by flying debris (or getting a face full of sand in the case of Johnson Valley)

the reason for the handle in the passenger seat is because its a standard required safety for buggies and dakar off road machines in the buggy class.. same rules apply to the WRC as well

That's the emergency 4 wheel lock. It dampens all of the suspension significantly and locks up all 4 wheels to stop as quickly as possible in an emergency. The reason it dampens the suspension is because it absorbs the energy so that the car will lose momentum faster

Yeah these mods usually have a few people putting all that detail that's why it's better than the devs. But the devs are unbeatable at modeling jbeams.

Yes. Sand cars of that caliber do exist. And yes they do 100+mph. I was riding in a friends he was in 4th doing 90 dropped a gear popped the clutch a rode a wheelie out. They are so much fun

Beamng is the only game that deserves to have AAA title pricing . The devs and the community brought something into this world that we could had only dream of and now its a reality. It really deserves the recognition of best physics sim game in the world. It definitely is a benchmarking machine and it eats up my cpu like crisis did to my gpu back in 2007 lol

As far as speed goes the unlimited class buggys/trucks will do 140+ off road. But they are ushally limited by the gearing

the silver cylinder thing that was falling off the bottom of the back was an oil catch can , which is something that keeps the oil from cycling back into the intake on the jumps

go into tuning and play with the gear ratios. The engine has plenty of power for a taller gear
