Hermitcraft is a Minecraft SMP server featuring some of KZhead's best and most talented Minecrafters. The server is 100% Minecraft Vanilla 1.20.4! This is Hermitcraft Season 10, and we are joined by two new Hermits, Skizzleman and Smallishbeans.

I seem to remember when mumbo and iskall came over, they pointed you had a pulse extender? Perhaps you can check the wiring and just ..ahem... say that you were so excited at the door working you had forgotten to get the extender calibrated to giga-standards? 😉

I think it'd be cool if you made a "Build a Pot" shop where you can buy the Sherds you want and then input them into a redstone machine that would auto-craft them into a pot for a nominal fee. Depending on how much redstone you want to do, or how much you want to gamify the process it could be accurate or randomized.

They work so well and the Gigacorp storyline is so epic

Since it’s possible to autocraft pots with the different shreds, you could possibly create a system in which the hermit selects which sherds they want like a build a bear, but for pots. You could also charge different amounts for each sherd put into the pot.
This would be very cool and not that hard. Each button drops one sherd or brick into the Crafter then it spits out when there are four. Indicator lights for what's in stock would be helpful for this.

Redstoners call an auto fishery a lilly pad farm. You may wanna offer that permit to the fishermen.
I'm not sure the players actually fishing are going to be the ones wanting to set up an AFK fish farm. They might consider it an insult to their profession

Ren in HermitCraft: doesn't take too much of a liking to the honeycomb because it doesn't match what he's going for and definitely not because of the bees. Rengo in Secret Life: gets stung by a bee at the start and lost a significant amount of hearts.

As for how the sculk relates to your biome, it could be what makes up the underground layers of the alien planet. So the factory could be designed in a way to make it look like it's drilling into the ground and extracting it from there.

It's nothing that he knows about rails aside from all being fully automated, it's just that he really really really didn't want to do the exploring for it lol

The term "thongs" was pretty popular for flip-flops in the US around the 90s (maybe before as well) but the Internet and Sisqo put an end to that around the turn of the century.
I hope doc eventually gets all of the permits, and makes everyone dig sand endlessly.
Food for thought: from a lore perspective you could say be exploring the season 10 world to discover ancient secrets for gigacorp, turning your findings into "works of art" that you can sell to the other hermits. Love the work you put in RD keep it up \o/

Little lore dump, what if the Sulfur is used to contain/stabelize the sculk from spreading out the factory? Then you could have a factory for sculk dublificationary stuff AND a factory harvesting or mining the plants for SULFUR :o

I think it would be great if you had 2 doors one with a both with delays so that when you get in the first door the second door is closed and then some air lock sounds then the second door open. And same fore the closing. It would take time to get in and out but would go with the theme and also may be some dispensers with splash water bottles which fire upon the 1 st door closing so that you can get a small sanitising effect

Loving your Season 10. I had an idea for a diorite shop. As the Hermits claim to hate it but use it often now in builds, make it like a seedy dirty back alley shop they have to sneak to to buy the diorite 😂 like the meeting room but.. WORSE 🤣😈

I think light grey glass is one of the best colors. It even has uses beyond covertly filling up people's inventory.
You can maybe put seapickles on the unripe squirterpots.
With the flower pot on the mature squirter pod, you could put a brown candel on the unripe pod for the lore.

Imagine a pottery shop with custom orders! A pottery wheel, some clay in item frames… a firing kiln.
If you end up doing wither farming for the beacons the old fashioned way (ie summoning it in a deepslate tunnel at the bottom of the world) you could potentially cut a deal with stress to provide her with deepslate for a cut of the profits.

You traded yourself some good ones there. Although your trade with doc gave you a lot of work. I'm an explorer and I love the archeology aspect very much but I know a lot of people who don't like it. I'm hoping for a lot of exploring on stream and on video :)
Oh man, you can totally make a build-a-pot workshop where the hermits choose the sherd that they want on each side, and you build it for them with a crafter
I love how the sound for ender pearls was fixed so now you hear the teleporting sound when you land! Definitely fits the sci-fi theme of Gigacorp!
So excited to see in Ren does actually make a fancy artisan shop with incredibly overpriced pots and sherds. You could even do pottery classes and overcharge for them

I think a nice scientific name for the trees would be luminescence agaricales since it glows and is made of mushroom type plants. And you said it’s spores so agaricales part of the scientific family name for gilled mushrooms which the mangrove roots sort of look like

My head canon is Gigacorp is a Alterra business (from Subnautica). They used to be a competitor, but they were eventually bought by them.

Hey Ren, you know what would be cool? When you finish a section of your custom exoplanet biome you could make a small forest with your square trees, it would look really awesome, it doesnt need to be big, just choose a hill and fill it with the trees just for variation sake, another hill can be full of pods and sulfuric puddles, but this is just an idea

So you got the best permit, the sculk permit! Tips for building with sculk from a sculk lover, stripped warped stems and other warped accents, and deepslate tiles make a gorgeous sculk build. It’s so pretty! Soul lanterns finish the look.
Thinking about the pots and sherds, even though you have to go out and collect the sherds and whatnot, how fun would it be to have an 'Ancient Alien Excavation Station' to piece together all these old artifacts, especially since you're on an alien world! :)
i bet theres gonna be a black market for items sold by hermits without the proper permits. this will most likely be the resistance this season

Your Pots and Sherds shop should be an antique shop. Like an old earth antique shop. Items found back when civilization was less advanced
For the pot/sherd shop, you could to have hermits select buttons for the sherds they want, and then use autocrafters to craft the pots and put it into a chest for them to pick up
I think pitcherplants would look cool in your landscape too! Feel like it kinda matches the sci fi vibes!
The literal meaning of the word “thong” is a “thin strip or strap,” especially of leather, furs, or other animal hide products. “Flip-Flop” sandals are commonly called thongs for the single thong between the toes that holds it on, but so are like…twenty other things, including the kind of extremely skimpy underwear also called a “g-string,” basically JUST enough fabric to cover the bare minimum standards of decency connected by thin straps. So your intuition was correct, but Keralis was probably thinking of something else more risqué with the same name.

The tree spores... they should be slightly acidic, and that will seep though the ground to etch the rocks below where they land... creating a sub-surface environment where a new tree can grow. Then they can be "Lichen Sub-scribers". ...I'll see myself out now.

what Doc knows is that rails can be duped. Super easy. You can find a rail duper machine online and make one in like 5 minutes and spew out several chests full of every type of rail in no time at all. All you need is one of each type to start with, and a very few bits of redstone.
It is almost certainly banned. The reason that Doc will charge sand for everything is that they banned sand duping. Rails can still be completely automated, though.
he beacon shop has got to be called "Takin home the Beacon"
you have 2 pulse extenders, where you have redstone on each side of opposite facing comparator that is a pulse extender, if you remove redstone in the middle and replace it with comparators the pulse will last longer.
The worldbuilding you are doing through the schematics is so cool and the schematics themselves are so well done as well

Ren, the basic storage unit wouldn't have fancy sliding doors. You need to get the Deluxe model for that.

I’m really enjoying your POV along with everyone else in the Neighborhood this season. I love the whole gigacorp inspired base and the idea of it is so cool. I think an idea that could fit in is maybe small sinkholes in diameter by the x,z axis being like 6x6 in the ground, that could go extremely deep and could act like caves that people would use. But they’d always be at risk of the sinkhole filling with the liquid sulfur while they mine. Idk, I think it’s neat but I wouldn’t change anything and I think you should stick with your ideas. They’re so creative, and super interesting. Love the episodes this season Ren.
