France have developed into the best team in the world over the past few years and look on track to build a dynasty that could dominate for years. But how did they get here? French football was uninspiring in the 1970s, until the French Football Federation decided to revamp the system through the introduction of club and national youth academies. After utilising the talent boom originating in the banlieues - the disadvantaged suburbs of major cities - French football is now sitting pretty at the top of the football pyramid. Can anyone stop the rise of this new dynasty?

it is because every city in France have a least two football club even the small city, and every poor neighborhood has at least a small football field. French players in these neighborhoods are used to playing in restricted spaces, which makes them technical and fast. the french formation is also very good, older brothers and parents volunteer to train the young players in their amateur clubs. Football has become a cultural thing in France like rugby in New Zealand
great point which explains why Ronaldo Nazario was so good technically playing in small and tight restricted spaces using both feet since he started in futsal.
Even where i lived before , only 3k people, we had a football club

France is the weirdest case in the world. It has an uninspiring national league, but its players are the best in the world. French-educated and trained players go on to become monsters. Jesus Christ.
opposite of england...best league, but players always under perform for national team
That’s why in France the young players get plenty of game time whilst in England we have players like Hudson-Odi and Tammy Abrahams who struggle to get minutes for Chelsea. The success of the premier league is detriment to the National team because the clubs don’t need to rely on youth academies
Uninspiring national league ? There are 2 reasons for this: - Football, while being the most practiced sport in France, is deeply despised by the non-amateurs and the upper social classes; - French corporatism (made up of the same people from these upper social classes) restricts and fully controls French professional football for greedy interests: power and money (especially money). As surprising as it may seem, France does not like football at all and hates to be like the others (except when it comes to copying from the Italians of course 😂).
@@vza7938 the top 6 clubs in England only have a handful of English players whereas in France the league relies more heavily on youth academy players so young French players get a lot more game time. Hudson-Odi and Abrahams can’t get the necessary minutes at Chelsea but a lot of them are reluctant to go abroad cos the pay is not as good as in the premier league
@@prisetete You know that Zinedine Zidane, Kylian Mbappe, or even Mehdi Benatia, Riyad Mahrez only have modest background?

Benzema, Mbappe, Comman, Greizman, Pogba, Kante, Hernandez, Kipembe, Varane, Pavart, Lioris.... THE BEST TEAM IN THE WORLD RIGHT NOW. On paper, nobody can beat them. Good for us the supporters, we will see great games at the upcoming Euro.
France also had the best team on paper in 2002, so you can never be sure what it will produce =) Well with Deschamps I don't think it will be like 2002 ^^
Its gonna be wild🔥
The defense is vunerable, kimpembe & zouma are bambis on ice. Deschamps changes up quick so i'll bet kimpembe will be dropped for kounde by game 2, hopefully he does an umtiti in 2016. The midfield is basically kante so pogba will have to step up like he did in 2018. If you see rabiot feature heavily, bet against france. All rests on mbapoe to make up for the mistakes.
Well, it's a very good team indeed, but it's not invisible. First, most of those players aren't consistant enough (Pogba is the best example of what I mean). Then, some of those aren't as good as they used to be (Varanne, Hernandez). Lloris is a good GK, but far from the bests. He has made it clear he always can make a mistake during the WC final. Pavart isn't that good at defending his side (but he is a good to make assists). French team has also an issue when it comes to play together. Even if it's not as common as it used to be. Don't get me wrong, I do believe that France is the Euro 2021 favorite, but it has its flaws and can be defeated at every round if it's not in a good day. Plus, French people doesn't usually perform well when they're favorite.
@@Tenvalmestr yes im ok with you in club , but what you don't understand is when they play for national team , their level are high simply because Deschamps manage perfectly the team , Pogba is an amazing player but Solksjaer is bull shit only here because Ferguson nominated him and lloris is the best goalkeeper on national team
It's quite amusing to read some stupid parrots crying "France win because it's Africa" "they are not whites" "they are not french" and other dumb arguments. France, like the Us, Uk, Belgium, Netherlands has a colonialism past, before becoming a country which attracted migrants from all over the world. Sport, and especially Football, became a way of expression for these integrated families since nearly100 years. Why would u blame them to play for their country of birth, and not for the country of their far origins? French sport success has always been the mixity and structures which form good athletes, but that's an unknown concept for youtube trolls :)

Xenophobes and racists are coming
To all the racist in the comment section, here's a reminder. 129 players in the 2019 ACF (Africa Cup of Nations) were European born players. It represents 23% of the pool, meaning that 1 player out of 4 was not born in Africa. Out of those 129, 86 (66%) were French. So no, France is not searching the whole world to find players. It is actually the world who's trying to find any connection they can to get their hand on a French talent. And who can blame them ? The French pool of talent is so deep that even players like Laporte are not in the national team and recently switched to play for Spain 😏😉 Cheers ! (And try to educate yourself)
But most of the France team is players who has African roots so that means most of France is just African you barely have white players in the team or in the leagues team who is white Frenchmen this just proves Africans players are better than the white Frenchmen

You said the white Frenchmen are heavily mixed. Then go on to talk about which blacks have french blood. Well griezeman is German and Portuguese etc. So is it that the blacks don't have french blood or is it just because they are black? Take a look at the countries you listed. They were all colonised by France and France still controls those countries. They speak the language, educated in France, lived in France, born in France. The Argentines aren't south American per say, but European. Same for Australia. They are british, not oceanic. White people from Africa represent their African countries in certain sports. France's next task is to keep doing what it's doing and improve on that by figuring out why this excellent system managed to overlook griezmann and kante.
It is not because they are excellent now that they were as good when they were young, the reverse is also true, good young people in training centers do not always have great careers. this is the whole difficulty of recruiting training centers. Vincent Pericard is the perfect example, he was a great hope for French football, at 17 yo, everyone saw him as the future great striker and he signed to juventus where he will only play two games then he chained the English clubs to finish his career at 30 yo in a club of the 6th English division
@@genzalarboa3110 In general, I agree with what you're saying. Not everything is static. But I think this thinking would be nore applicable to Giroud who is basically France's vardy in terms of the journey he's been on. Griezmann and Kante were overlooked because they were 'too small'. Size has nothing to do with football if you've got talent, especially in its current form. Griezmann was technically talented and kante was talented at winning the ball but both overlooked because of their size. Kante worked his way up while griezmann moved to spain who were transforming their football system for the future where they correctly predicted the dominant footballing style. It's easy to spot an mbappe but how many kante's have been overlooked because of biases?
@@Yunghamz I'm not saying that the system is perfect but you judge by knowing their background so obviously now it seems a huge mistake not to have given them a place but when you are in a training center there is a 20% chance of becoming pro, only half of whom will play in league 1. this means that 8 times out of 10, the scouts were wrong about the future level of the players and maybe among them there were players who were better than griezman or kanté at 14 years old.

Why most of young French stars move to Bundesliga?
More chances to be a starter, french clubs don't really trust young players

@@delaseanaty My point? France is the sole reason behind the success and they’re all French born and raised. You would be incompetent to have an actual conversation with any black French born and raised because you have nothing in common except the color of skin. It’s a scientific fact.
i dont think they have the best, in the last 10 years germany produced far more world class players, especially in attack and midfield, but france have the lead in centre backs, even now germany has more talent, probably the best midfield in the world and the fastest and deadly attack in europe (gundogan, kroos, goretzka, kimmich, werner, sane, gnabry, havertz) and the old guard is still good with muller, reus
Well I dont know. For me: Mbappe>Gnabry Griezmann>Werner Kante>Goretzka but Gundogan>Rabiot Kimmich>Pogba (most of the time, cause Pogba at his best is unstoppable) Coman=Sane Kroos>Tolisso (by far) So the qualities of the team are quiet close, but Deschamps>Low and that the most important thing.
@@xray3268 deschamps i dont like his football style, and i dont thinnk france is a world champion to remember, they just played counter attack; deschamps is very limited as coach, nowhere near on low level on his prime, but right now low has lost his plot, he has no clue about starting 11 and how to play as team; right now germany can be lucky to get a draw at the first game vs france at the euros
@@26DeislerFCB Keep underestimating us, you're going to be very surprised. Germany comes out with some very big players, but France produces more and more regularly. Look at the French u23 team and compare there to that of Germany, you will understand

@@Yessirz yes but they are still ethnically Moroccan and African and this just proves that an African team has made it to the semi finals in World Cup so your words are not true about “why does Africa itself never reach the semifinal of a World Cup?” When they just did it
@@teknul89 It’s not a coincidence that Morocco that has 50% players born in Europe (record at the world cup) is the African nation that finally made it to the semis. On the contrary it confirms my point which is: it’s not about genetics but the country of birth and growth where you got your accent, education, culture and training. Morocco wouldn’t have done it without Ziyech and Mazraoui born in Netherlands, Hakimi born in Spain, Boufal, Saiss, Amrabat and even the coach born in France.

@Eva Bernard isn't hate, it's the true, most of them are from African parents, and theres nothing bad in that, but it's a fact. PD: my country have players born in my country, with parents born in my country, with grand parents born in my country... It's a complete different story
@@11AleZZ And the continent is Europe because they are french and France is in Europe. 😊 The origin of parents or grandparents does not make a good player. French players have African origins? No African country has reached a World Cup semi-final. European countries have won the World Cup? France did not win it when its players had European origins (Italy, Spain, Poland ...). So, obviously, the origins have no impact on the results. Another proof? Brazil 5 WC, USA 0 WC while their immigration is similar (Europeans and Africans). What makes good players and therefore good teams is the will to succeed, the passion, the infrastructures, the pride of their jersey. All World Cup winners combine these qualities, and sometimes France too. Your stories of the origins of the players are laughable.
@@youtpfpm6097 that's false, African slaves (because they were not immigrants) comes to Brasil in 1500-1600, not 25 years ago, most of them were mixed with the native population, some others with Europeans of diverse countries, so the ancestors of the players is irrelevant, on the other hand, you have France with players born in the country but 0 biological nexus with the country, proof of that, is that the best french players are from immigrants parents , also most of the french players in Ligue 1 are born in France but with immigrant parents, it's a fact.
@@11AleZZ Slavery is forced immigration. Origins are origins for those who think they are of primary importance in knowing who individuals are. No matter how many generations they see, they only see the appearance. The players of the France team have for some had the choice between France and the country of their parents or grandparents since they have dual nationality. They chose France because they feel French, no matter what some people say here and there. If you question their choice, if you decide for them, you are about the same level as a 16th century guy deciding where and how "his forced immigrants" should live. You should go and ask them if they don't feel french, it could be funny to see. 😂
