So happy to see the dies in action and I'm very glad you like them. This was a great collaboration, I learned a lot. The damascus came out very good for your first attempt. I've never seen that pattern before. Can't wait to see more damascus making!
MM, I loved how your dies withstood all that work, looking just the same as when you shipped them off. Your skills, abilities, and talents shine always, and your willingness to collaborate adds greatly to these videos. Thank you.
Would you have a video of the parts being made?
I'm here from your video @my_mechanics
You’re a good man MM, your assistance here is proof that decency and kindness are still qualities abundant among many and desperately needed in our often selfish world.
@@Archiemonty BBP gives a link to that video in the description.
Loving these "my mechanics" collaborations with various talented artisans so far.
These gentlemen are so insanely talented!
I'm really glad you guys opted to upload around the same time so we get to see the process of making the dies, then immediately get to see them put to good use. Very satisfying. If you want more chitoyance, otherwise known as the shimmery effect of the layers of the steel showing through in the pattern, then you'll need many more layers of contrasting steel.
You don’t know how much I agree with you... except for rn with me telling you. Anyway, couldn’t agree more
Robert. Very well phrased comment.
Love when I can see different KZhead channels coming together and finding a solution to a problem and getting it done. It's also great when I can find a new Channel to subscribe to. Good job to both My Mechanics and BBP. And BBP you have a new subscriber.
I love how there's this community of makers when it comes to knives, tools, restorations and so on.
Great collaboration and video mate
Madonna grande, è uno spettacolo Gader ^^
Yes!!! Great to see you collab with My machanics on this. I would love to see you all ( Mister Patina, TysyTube, my mechanics, Tyby restoration) all work on a big project together where you each release a vid of your own segment but to restore one project. That would be amazing!! Great vid as always 👍🏻
Yeah, this will be the best collab on youtube!!! Great idea 👍
I would love to see that!!
10:06 *Nice pattern* 👍👍👍👍👍
Two of my favourite makers working together? Christmas cake early this year.
Great work as always and the cooperation between yourself and My Mechanics is, as with all the fantastic cooperative projects that I see on KZhead, an inspiration and a source of great pleasure to many, I suspect. The admirable assistance given so freely here should serve as a lesson to all. A pinch of help is more valuable than a truck load of sympathetic platitudes. Bravo, long may this tradition continue.
Hi Friend! Thank you! Have a beautiful day! 👍 735
Beautiful damascus. I've never seen that before and it was amazing. Loved the collaboration and hope to see more.
Just came over after seeing how the dies was made. Awesome video
I've been watching too much _Forged in Fire._ I kept waiting for you to turn the billet into a knife.
I have to say raindrop damascus is my favorite, followed closely by ladder pattern. Looks good! Especially due to taking the time to clean the pieces before forging...
Before watching the video, you are creative with all your work
Wow what a collaboration! Very nice! Italy and Swiss hands by hands!
Looks like you were born to use that power hammer! Flawless Damascus with no flux, I’m impressed.
"El Barba" is my favorite. Very creative and profesional.
It makes me very happy that two youtube channels that I watched with love are in a project together.🤗 Meanwhile Greetings from turkey.🇹🇷🇹🇷🇹🇷
You are doing great work, I congratulate you.❤🌷🌺🙋♂️🤗
Came here for the dies, staying for the content. Good work for your first try!
It's great to see this collaboration between you and 'my mechanics'
Thank you for the tips! I will use them when I make raindrop Damascus. Keep up the good work and I'm look forward to more videos.
Excellent work even with the issues👍👍👍 . Thanks for sharing
It's nice to see two of my favourite Maker channels collaborating.
You should craft a thank you gift for MyMechanics!
Can't wait to see some more Damascus steel videos!
It's like the pâte feuilletée of metal work...

Wonderful work Sir! It was a joy watching this!
My lord those dies are perfect! 😍
Nice to see the dies in action, and loved the magnetic jig for the grinder. Seems I have some catching up to do thanks to My Mechanics recommending another great channel.
Beautiful hand work 😍 Good corporation for My Mechanics 👍
questa collaborazione è stata stupenda! E hai fatto un gran bel lavoro sul damasco!
a BBP & MM crossover?! Niiiiiiice! 😎👍🏼
Your always doing your videos while I'm sleeping i just woke up
Looks amazing!
I have the same hammer as you (15kg anyang model) and mine came with flat dies. I actually gave them a very smooth rounded surface so as to be able to draw out steel easier. My experience was that the complete flat dies took a very long time (as you may have noticed) to move the material. Very fun to see you use the same machine, great video.
Once again... fantastic job Congratulations and keep going
Witam...jesteś mistrz w tym co robisz....pozdrawiam z Polski (Poland)
