Great video. Thanks for explaining the difference between the RE and the DS. Explained it more thoroughly than my dealer did. Also I knew the skis were different than the Skidoo but didn’t know the spindle was a different offset. Great info.

Hey Ross, thanks for the video. I'm curious if you know if the production sleds center shock will have a piggy back with adjustments like the rear shock?. The spec sheet says it does but all the current RE models do not have it that I've seen. Thanks!

So it seems like the RE is more like a Freeride and the DS is more like the expert. I wanted a 154 non turbo so I got a DS and then I can upgrade the shocks for adjustability. Thanks for the video. I'm looking forward to more content on these Lynx Sleds!
Did a lynx 146 skid for 907 Films. Steeper rail profile and front track shock mounted 1.25” higher up in the rails for more pressure. The sled will bunny hop in parking lots. Sled will wheelie up hills, across hills, down hills. Very insane sled. You should try it for spring riding.
Excellent video @rossrobinson! Just put a deposit on an RE 3900 Turbo with 10.25" dash yesterday and can't wait to try this sled! Been on Matryx and expect it to be very different, in a good way. I'm sure it is tough, which is a priority and I hope that parts availability is good and not needed.

I have a question about the front end. I am wanting to order a aftermarket front bumper for my shredder. I am wondering if the previous lynx boondocker/skidoo bumpers are going to work with the shredder? Trying to get a head start on ordering parts lol.

Hey Ross, i finally got to test a shredder 146 non turbo. I was really impressed with the sled and how snappy the engine and the clutch setup was. How does it compare to a turbo? I tried a summit 154 turbo, and it felt slugish
What’s the difference between the Powdermax and Powdermax light tracks? And does BRP manufacture their own tracks. Couldn’t find em on the Camso website.

Was so on the fence on ordering a 4100 DS but decided on the expert instead. Fits my riding style better I think. But cant deny the Lynx is the better looking of the two sleds and I need to try that rear skid
Its weird how they are the same chassis yet the lynx looks better then then the doo. I think its the just the color and how the headlights connect together

you may want to yes. You could also look into putting the RE shocks in the rear skid also
Ross, is the engine tune on the Shredder RE turbo R the same as the tune on the G 5 850 turbo R? Seems the summit has more snap in the 4,500 to 6,000 rpm range. Also any word that the chain on the shredder is better than the G5? Thanks😊
Mike, same tune, same chain. you might just be feeling a difference Sled to Sled in the belt or a few other things

I know the front suspension is 36" , but is it adjustable like the freeride?
As far as ski stance 36” is on center and it can be narrowed with bushings, however narrowing the skis that way slightly hinders the handling no matter the sled
Went ahead and snow checked the RE. What setting do you prefer on the limiter strap?
Limiter strap is one up from the bottom hole. It should be delivered to you that way.
Do you know is there going to be a demo tour? Or will dealers have demos?
theres is a spring tour. unfortunately no rides that i know of. Very few protos due to the state the world is in.
Awesome description and did it all in 1 take! Talk about a Pro. Id really love that exact suspension setup on the expert chassis. I like the lower bars (like you), hand guards, quick adjust limiter strap, and colors of the expert better but it just needs shock! Like real expert shocks.

I don't really get the no rear bumper. its just nice to have, doesn't weigh much, makes towing easier, etc. I'll be waiting for your video I guess Rosco:) Would love to have a go on one of these tho, if I were buying new I would move from BRP to LYNX for the subtle touches that make a big difference.

Agreed. I don't need a rear bumper for getting unstuck. it's more for tight tree riding where the tunnel has a chance of binding up on a tree. More so for protection.

I checked the BRP website and they are doing a spring tour all over the US where you can at least walk around them and get questions answered. Check this website for dates in your area!
How is the sled in total if you compare it to the 2022 Boondocker RE? ( I am very close to picking up a 2022 850 3700 RE) Would I regret not waiting for the shredder? (I'd have to keep my boondocker for 2 seasons if i get it now)

dude they have had it on the older models but we the nordic people wanted the 36" and i think u can get lfs+ and u get your 40", but the real question is why? just by a xterrain or a rave if u wanna ride trail...

Why is the rear bumper an option to me that should never be an option. Same with skid plates any brand of sled should come out of the factory with that on the sled.
