The Queen’s coffin has completed its six-hour journey from Balmoral to Edinburgh, where it will rest at the Palace of Holyroodhouse overnight.
Huge crowds gathered down the Royal Mile in the Scottish capital to bid farewell to the late Monarch.

Those who ruled in the past were not the people who are here today. Unfortunately, we cannot be held responsible for our ancestor's actions, that is in the past. There us much we will disagree with, likewise, people in 100 or 200 years time will disagree with things people do today. Attitudes, societies, beliefs all change through time. We can learn from our past.

Sometimes more can be said in the silence and reverence. I really liked how quiet the crowds were. Do I think that would happen here in America? No. I'm American and I really do like the quiet introverted nature of the British.

We, my mother and I, have always loved and admired Her Majesty, as do many of us Americans. The American flag is flying at half-staff throughout the world in Her Majesty's honour until her funeral services are completed.
What a beautiful service at St. Giles in a farewell ceremony to Queen Elizabeth II. I loved the Scripture that was chosen as well. Just beautiful. I was moved beyond words from the journey and arrival to the church. Bravo, Scotland! Bravo! The four men guarding the coffin brings to mind the 4 angels holding the 4 winds of the earth!

I'm Russian, not British but I'm very touched by popularity of the monarchy in the UK and obviously paying respect to the Queen as well, since as many around the globe basically knew only one queen - Elizabeth...so yes... In these many videos from the Royal Channel that show many ppl who're paying respect im thinking also about the sense of Russian monarchy if the tragic events of 1917 and massacre of 1918 never happened. As the Romanov were all part of Victoria heritage.... Well, anyways, best wishes to the King and RIP Elizabeth, she was special!! 🇬🇧

Will never forget Diana's procession to her burial spot and how the hearse was filled with flowers thrown from people along the route. What a tribute!
People have been asked not to throw flowers in front of the cars as the cortege passes along. I suspect the reason is that it could lead to the driver's view being blocked, and the road becoming slippery.

Queen Elizabeth II. Is my grand Aunt because of marriage to my grandma's first cousin Phillip of Greece. The relatives which were relation to that are living in Greece at this moment if they're alive or dead. It was 12 girls and two boys from two families. And in this days I'm now losing my aunt with great pain in my heart. Because I've never got a chance to really have an audience with anyone who has a relation with. Because of a lot of people who storm into a place where they don't belong and break the rules of royal families. Even making poking fun at the National Guard of England. But I will miss Queen Elizabeth II. I often try to write a letter with seriously zero response. But in this I still pray about her and pray about the family I belong to. All these events from people who are born before me and got married before I was born. In relatives I've seen when I say the steps into the country of my father's home
