Style
What I learned from this video: 1. Single rail based unit for carrying passengers called train. 2. Rail based unit with engine called train. 3. Assembly of both previous units called train.
4. Button-controlled barrier called button.
Technically the bit with the engine in it is the locomotive. Although modern trains are either electric, from overhead wires or a third rail, or diesel-electric. In diesel-electric trains, the "engine" is a big diesel engine driving an electric generator. The electricity goes to the carriages, which each have their own electric motors to move them, as well as it's own brakes. So however many carriages you have, each one can pull it's own weight. As long as you don't use more electricity than the generator can provide. Trains with overhead electric, or third-rail, can carry a more-or-less infinite number of carriages. The limit would be the train's internal wiring, how much power can flow through the overhead collector-thing, through the wires to the carriages? Since the overhead wires are often connected to the national grid, they have more-or-less unlimited power. In theory, at least. They also don't need a generator at the front, so don't need a locomotive at all. Trains like that are just carriages connected together with a little driver's cabin at the front and back, so that the train can go either way without messing about rearranging things. The driver's cabin can even convert, wooden doors come from behind and split the cabin in two, turning into walls, making a tunnel you can walk through. So you can connect any number together and walk all the way through. So every carriage can have a driver's cabin, but fold it away if it's a middle carriage and the cabin isn't needed.

there are a couple of times where there definitely are collisions - seems like the hitboxes are much smaller than the models
yeah it seems the game only 'calculates' the carriages advancing one tile at a time, at the same time, and as long as their paths dont intersect and they dont end up at the same tile, the game allows it! slightly less realistic, but definitely better from a puzzle point of view

11:48, only 1 way I can see to do this one, 1 swivels back on itself via upward curve, 2 takes a lengthy U bend route to the gate ahead then takes another u bend before connecting to the track 1 needs to pass 1st 12:20, Okay that was a simpler route than I was planning

8:33, Easy, 1 go throw orange and corners around 3 exit to the track, 2 curves towards the purple but not into the purple, it just loops down to 1s exit, 3 goes directly into the purple and connects to 2s track following on behind it

I thought a train, could only be called a train, if the "Locomotive" or "Engine" was actually pushing or pulling something. For example. An engine that's pulling passenger coaches, or carrying passengers, would be called a train. An engine that's pulling a line of "trucks" would also be called a train.

I feel this whole game is a bit pointless when you consider the carriage drivers could just start moving at different times. This is the real puzzle.
