I think koreans have to update their history books and stop asking about caste system in India. Even we don't go about asking everyone their caste. Honestly the question baffles me everytime

i mean, i think it's a bit disingenuous to imply that caste system doesn't affect people today. Less than 10 years ago I had a coworker who immigrated from India just a few years earlier, and he was telling my how he wasn't able to marry the girl he wanted to marry because his parents forbade it. The reason? She was from a slightly lower caste.

The authenticity of the history of a country is measured on the basis of experiences and writings of the foreign Travellers. No foreign Travellers either Chinese, Greek, Roman or any other who visited India from time to time ever write about any kind of caste discrimination . The most authentic foreign Travellers who came to india is was Megasthenes , who came to india at the time of Mauryan empire wrote a book named "Indica" where he stated that india had no kind discrimination or women right issue in the country. The fact that the descendents of the two great writers Ved Vayas and Valmiki were also kept in SC ST caste by the britishers as Ved Vayas belonged to a fisherman family and Maharishi Valmiki was a hunter.

Meanwhile India has done a lot for South Korea to in the past but they don't remember at all.

Cast system is not Muslims things....really!! Majority audience are desi......and we all know how things work...Upper cast Muslim don't get married with lower cast Muslim and what about Siya,Sunni and all other sects....why Isamili and other sects moving out from Pakistan and what about shia-sunni conflict....they didn't even recognize each other existence.....
There is no caste system in Islam, but there is caste system in Hindus,, Muslim people worship Allah in different ways, we all Muslims are equal to eachother, unlike you if you don't have knowledge then don't say anything, we Muslims don't discriminate other people like Hindus do with Dalit community. Islam teaches us that all human are equal regardless of their race.color and nationality in the eyes of Allah Almighty, all people are equal, even though they are not all identical to one another. If you don't know something don't say anything wrong keep your mouth shut Look here Hindu caste system These four castes are the Brahmins (priests, teachers), Kshatriyas (rulers, warriors), Vaishyas (landowners, merchants) and Sudras (servants), and the 5th group is the group of the untouchables, called Dalits. There have been incidents which showed that Dalits were restricted from entering temples by high-caste Hindus, and participation in religious processions.They are discriminated against not only because of their sex but also because of religious, social and cultural structures which have given them the lowest position in the social hierarchy. The giv is bringing out plans to shift reservations to poor people.... like the law implemented 3 to 4 years back that children of generals with poor income will be provided reservations whereas generals or OBCs with high income would not be provided any reservations. Sc St are not included in this because many ST people still live under minimum income , so all of them are provided reservations to lift them up. Amd since most of the OBCs have made up to middle class family their reservations are being cut/reduced.
Indian must be proud and love their country. Living in korea is grt but uh must not compair ur own country and say that korea is better than India . If Indians started thinking this way then obviously people from outside will start judging Indians without knowing anything

Since there is no comment from a Korean let me just say something. Well its true that racism exists in Korea but not everyone is the same. You will find good people with good intentions. I am a Korean and my mother is from India so I have a lots of Indian friends too. Just like in any other place in the world, Korea too has good and not so good people. This doesn't make the whole country bad. I also faced racism in India, people call me with different names, I guess I don't have to explain right!
koreans hate south asians and colour ism there is so much more. Dont come talking like ohh this the case in every country. No its not. Koreans are much more racists towards indians and are hugely misinformed by their media
The recent hate for koreans as a whole has become so ridiculous and ppl like you need to speak up. Yh koreans are cold initially and some have a bad attitude towards certain race or ethnicities but once you speak korean fluently and have conversation with different people they can warm up to you and people are very logical so you can debunk the prejudice they might have. It's so exhausting because anything koreans say or do is now RACI3T. One thing I'll add is koreans typically don't get along with countries that have a large population, because the country itself is so small and homogenous they don't understand the concept of diversity, i think thats where most of the misunderstandings and prejudice starts

I think he is trying to bring awareness about the caste system to the Korean audience via an Indian. It is because I have heard on padcasts and interviews that Koreans were taught how bad Indians are via media and education curriculum, so the guy is doing us Indians good only. Plus I do not know about North Part of India here in Southern states I do not see any kind of discrimination based on caste.

@@NaziyaParveen-qx9md bro 1st of all bhagwatum in part 7.11.23 writes देव-गुरव-अच्युत भक्ति त्रि-वर्ग-परिपोशनम् आस्तिक्यं उद्यमो नित्यं नैपुण्यम् वैश्य-लक्षणम् And it doesn't have a single word related to caste. 2nd thing Castes was imposed on India by the Britishers in 1850 before that no literature of india had ever mentioned of caste . No there is no caste system in Islam. Doesn't matter what caste you belong, you are all equal in Islam. There are set system, and the system is no way written in Islam but it is introduced by some scholars themselves. People follow the sect system but not the caste system. Sect system divide his people on the basis of the way they worship God. Meanwhile caste system divides people on the basis of the caste. Know the difference first.
Muslims do have different categories like devbandi ,barelian ,sunni ,shia etc.
But, that's not like a severe caste system

I was in Korea for 6 months for a job in embassy. My mother came to visit me, when she had medical emergency she was not allowed into hostipal because of the color of her skin. I immediately lauched a complain at the embassy and well a lot of things went ahead after that. You need to have self respect, what she is doing is not being humble, what she is doing is losing her respect for herself and her country.And yeah i left the god foresaken country 1 week after the incident happened to my mother.

I think that muslim girl was not aware of her own religion but muslims have caste like devbandi ,barelian ,sunni ,shia etc where they don't marry each other if they belong to a different caste.
My dear brother this is not the caste system. These are the sects and sects made on the basis of the difference in worshipping God. Meanwhile caste system is made on the basis of caste. Please know the difference. Intra caste marriages are totally fine in Islam, it's just people's choice to either marry someone from their own caste or out of their caste. My dad is ahl e hadith and mom is hanafi, still they got married and I'm a Muslim I don't follow any sect.

In India we comes to know the value of family, discrimination do exist but i feel blessed to born in India,
I visited & lived in India for a few months & never once did I care about people’s caste. It’s much more important to understand their culture, values, interests & to observe whether they’re kind to others.
As an Indian I only know and follow -Learn, grow and pursue excellence. That's it. If you are in other nation, know and respect their rules and mindset. If you are there means they have allowed you there so respect that. If it's too difficult just come back to your home :) A lots of good changes awaiting here to be done coz it's a big nation so everyone should put effort. - no need fighting outsiders... It's waste of time I believe.

This is the reason why people should have knowledge about one's own roots, history and GK about other religions instead of just studying academic social and history books for marks. If weak in the history subject(less marks) people just hate(i used to get less marks in history whats the use of reading history i.e past we need to learn science and tech i.e future i.e job/income why would i even bother to go and check original history record 15 years of studing history in school is enough) to know or atleast read the original history records, every single one in this country knows how our academic books are compiled to make hindus be ashamed of our own culture and religion but if any one of you'll go through the original records and archeological records they know, they know what are facts and truth and what is preached in academic books. Same goes for caste system but the problem here is from british times after they succeded in erasing gurukuls they(missionaries) started not only to preach(inside 4 walls of classroom) to the kids/students they started to preach(outside to the parents) to the community too. You are brahmins you are great, you'll serve the Gods in the temple, you are kshetriyas, you are someone who does wars for the people to protect them and their lands, they should treat you'll like this, you'll should treat them diff according to their work and income of living, and vice verse, they are that why are you treating them like this, u should treat them like this, as you are from this group those brahmins and kshetriyas hate you'll. So as a result conversions can be done in a smooth way, why be in a religion in which there are castes, they treat you'll differently you can convert into our religion. Youth who finish their studies studying these poisoned books inside the 4 walls of a classroom untill age 15/16 and after that get busy in studying their core subjects and immediately pulled in jobs and get busy with their day to day life of course their mentality and arrogance towards their roots will be like this only. These people when visiting or like these two in the interview who went for studying or people who give interviews like this to foreign media, of course they either have no Gk(lack of ground reality) or they have half baked knowledge about their culture, traditions, religions and country and give answers to the questions in the same way. We as indians should really appreciate these both because they tried their best not to talk rubish but yes they are Still lacking. One more thing caste system exist in every religion and every country, its just that it has different names thats it, we have varna vyevastha the word caste is introduced by the british our varna system didnot teach us to discriminate against each other they are the ones who put poison in our ancestors minds during their rule(can't believe! Proofs are available at the tips of your fingers go and read the historic records which contain letters and books written by your so called british officials(western people whom you'll consider literate and what all they preached is correct and forward and indians/ hindus are backward)of that time ). But as the british did not succeed in erasing(converting) hinduism, they started it at first and all the western nations followed them to tarnish hinduism by starting to impose teaching about caste system in academics across the world that only hinduism has a system called caste system and blah blah blah the info goes on. These countries like south korea a dog nation to the USA who signed a treaty with them during the korean war sold their sovernity to them, allowed ngos of the western nations inside so that they can start conversions in the name of helping the needy and orphans, inorder to get investments from westhern nations and become a developed nation obviously they read the same in their academics they preach the same in their documentaries unlike our country where we as hindus are trying to protect our sovernity, our roots, culture, traditions and religions by holding onto them and fighting back these conversions mafias.

After a long time i had watch positive comments about korean from indians . Just like girl said one person and one city do not define India in the same way I guess 2to 3 youtube videos do not define korea. HOWEVER Racism does exit in Korea.
Living in Korea I came across 3 types of people: 1. People who don’t like foreigners because they don’t match their internal beauty standard competition or religion or unhygienic appearance 2. People who envy foreigners because of English, knowledge and country based superiority and feel stressed or inferior being around foreigners 3. People who are literate, know about other countries culture or been to other countries are very happy to see foreigners and welcome us. The number is low but as you spend more time in Korea you’ll find the best people here Me being a foreigner from India it’s been more than 1 year I am living here. I met this amazing genuine people friends as well as strangers who helped me alot. Just because someone hate you don’t stop being you. Your people will definitely find you ❤

Well the caste system isn't that much in India ....well even I knew my caste when I grew up and searched by myself .even before I didn't know what caste was until I learned in history books then my board exams came where we needed to put category as reservation are given in our country to certain grp of people to uplift them. No one ever asked my caste , no one ever discriminated

Cannot blame non Indian citizens of this caste system questions and answers. It is preaching everywhere globally in history book and Bhagava Gita and Srimad Bhagavatam philosophy as well across the world. The law made from Lord Krishna himself. There is also an auto self mode segregation among Indians and inside India herself. There is discrimination within Hindu temples accepting foreigners entry and social interact. No offense but why only Indians were interviewed on this topic . You could have incorporated other nationalities as well because this just shows that its only India getting hate and then people justify it saying that they deserve it because of country , color , etc which are not the only reasons because there are many other dangerous countries than India and even more darker skin people exist. They were and are still doing well culturally and economically than most other countries. There is no need to force them to change into a multi-ethnic and multi-cultural country. They have always better options for them than multiethnicity and multiculturalism. Because they're doing better than most multi-ethnic countries... Rather, it would be better for foreigners to adapt to Korean society. Korean society is much more orderly, efficient and safer than that of most developed European countries and US. No need to turn Korea into a mess.
