    • No it is not brutally fast. Far from it. Every base 911 from this century does that - and it still goes around corners fast. That remake Shelby is just marketing BS. Cashing in on an old legend. Nothing more. It never earned any merits on its own. If you want exciting V8 - get a classic V8 from the 60s or 70s. Completely different league. If you want to drive fast on the Autobahn - get a 911, fast BMW or Merc (or any super car from the 80s will be fast enough) - or at least a modern Corvette.

    • @@thisiswaytoocomplicated most ridiculous & delusional post ever regarding a GT500. Randy Probst. PROFESSIONAL PORSCHE race team driver. Tested the PORSCHE Gt3RS against this latest GT500. At the Chuckwalla race course, in several laps testing bk to bk... Guess how badly the Awesome PORSCHE outran the GT500 you claim is useless & not even as good as a 60s muscle car?? Please guess?? 20 seconds qwicker ? 10 sec qwiker ? 5 ? 2 ? 1 ? About a 1/10 of a second. Phook that PORSCHE at $160k The GT500 out runs it on any drag strip. & goes straight to the Road race course & runs side by side. At a costvof well under $100k. I paid $81,116 for ours, out the door. Nobody says the PORSCHE is junk. Its just no better than the car half the cost, because the Engineer team at FoMoCo actually did there job. The front bakes are bigger than a New York style Xlarge pizza. & at 760hp, it smokes the Porsche in the 1/4 mi, 1/2mile- & runs with it elsewhere. @ half the price. You really have no clue what your talking about. Just type in 'Chockwalla GT500' & watch Jason Cammisa show the fools like yourself what this Shelby can do. Its not a 1967 GT500. Is a 2020-22 GT500.

    • The Shelby beat a Lamborghini Hurican Evo on the lightning lap at Virginia International Raceway. It was only 2 seconds off the 911 Turbo S on a 4.1 mile track. You can say what you want but this cars specs and numbers speak for themselves.

    • @@richardmodglin3900 it was a tie at Chocwalla between the GT500 & the GT3 RS. It runs 10.60's in the Quarter mile on stock tires in good air. Which $200k+ Porsche does that, again? We all know the Porsche os a great car. The Shelby is an American Muscle Car that can rub shoulders w/almost any car 2x its price. Its like that Hillbilly guest in the Whitehouse that everyone thks they will hate, till they meet um, & then they ❤️ um.

    • The car can go faster than 190. It probably has a 750 HP engine. The only thing holding this car back from say 250 mph is aerodynamics/wind resistance and tires. Which is probably the only reason the Ford GT40 is faster - aerodynamics. BMW has a program that in some of their very highest speed models, you must go to Germany and train at their BMW facilities on how to drive it safely. The same program should be offered for the Shelby Cobras and GT40's. I wonder how many teenagers have turned into a greasy spot on a road because they thought they could handle a Shelby Cobra.

  • Never thought I would see the day where a production Mustang hits 189 MPH on a public road. I remember running my 67 Shelby Mustang from the Jones Beach Tower to Oak Beach Inn on the south shore of Long Island back in the 1990's. We hit 140 to 150 at best and it was terrifying! Amazing how far things have advanced in 50 years but the spirit remains the same. Fun video :) Ciao, Zio

    • @@Justin_GFM Well.... there were Troopers for sure. But we would do this at 6 AM on a Sunday morning, there was a small group of us (about 6 to 8 cars) and 2 of them WERE Troopers driving their toy cars. One was a late model Vette, the other was a Buick Grand National.

    • When it was new l took my 2000 Ford lightening for a 3am run up a nearly deserted stretch of interstate got 122 mph. Scared me but fun . Doing 187 mph would be definitely in the pucker zone . 😂

  • You forgot to mention one thing about the Voodoo 5.2 V8 and the Predator 5.2 Supercharged. The Voodoo engine is a flat-plane crank engine while the Predator engine is cross-plane crank. The GT350 revs much higher than the GT500

    • The 5.2L V8 is amazing but the real hero is it's transmission, that 7 speed Tremec DCT is so good, it honestly puts a DSG to shame, the GT500s of the past all had manual gearboxes and it kinda held the car back a bit, but this Dual Clutch really unleashes the brutality of this car, not only is it relentlessly fast, but the car is so well sorted and dialed in, despite weighing 4200lbs or 1905KG, you don't feel like you're driving a big boat, it's cornering limits are incredibly high. It's brakes are also just as brutal as the acceleration, 6 piston calipers front and rear the thing literally stops on a dime.

  • Wow! This car already looked amazing but this spec is classic Shelby and is on fire! The Shelby GT500 is the very definition of a future classic and a moment in time car.   • So amazing, the Mustang has become everything I hoped it could be...I've owned 10+ and as a kid, I took a 1984 notchback with my friend's dad helping me and dropped a 302 into it...only 215+ Hp and I was the man..sleeper! I hit about 130 in my 93 Notchback..190 is fkn mind blowing!!!

  • Just got my 2020 GT500 today. Amazing car! And really easy to drive if you aren't hammering on it, and really even if you are. All depends how far your foot goes. Really balanced car though. So much instant power when you want it. I just dont have words to say. Get one. No regrets.
