To be honest itzy is my fav girl group bc their dancing is sooo hard of all the groups i have seen.....i rarely do i like girl group bc i like savage vibes more than cute ones...but ones i heard them i was like YASS this is what i am talkung about!! you should check their award performancess!

You mentioned the importance in dance choreography, check out PIXY "Wings" and "Addicted" and "Bewitched(english version)". For full appreciation of the choreography for the first two songs I recommend the dance practice or show performance.(watching the official MV will give you a full appreciation of their concept). The third song's MV focuses mostly on them.

13:46 Actually that's a great discription of Itzy. This is why I love them so much and they are my ult group rn. All of them individually are amazing and feel like main characters as you said. But if you see them as a group they feel like a unit. Nobody is standing out much more than the other. EDIT: I would also suggest to you, that you watch some of their variety stuff. Their personalities are really unique and they're hilarious. Their whole dynamic as a group is just awesome.

I would suggest a guide for them. They are great for learning positions, background, personality, and other stuff. There's a guide out there that even talks about the similarities between one of the members and a Light Fury. I don't remember which one that is though. The "unhelpful" one maybe?

And then there's JYPn - new GG debuting next year! JYP has such a crazy talent pool and I love all their groups

I'm excited you decided to dive into ITZY as they're one of my favorites! As a long time kpop fan I understand your concerns about the female choreographies seeming boring. Different years have different trends, and for a long while cute/girl next door was reigning. My main thought is that boy groups tend to be faster while girl groups tend to be more technical (not saying there aren't crossovers, just what the standards are). Its not to say one is inherently better or worse than the other, just that they're different. The main things I like to point out to people without a dance background is that when things are slower the mistakes are easier to see, and when things are slower your balance can play very heavily into how hard something actually is. NCT U's "7th Sense" and Red Velvet's "Be Natural" are very good examples of this. Late third gen into fourth gen girls is seeing the rise and return of girl crush/mature concepts, and a lot of the new choreographies seem to be meshing components from both. I'm very excited to see whats coming with groups like ITZY Aespa and PIXY, amongst others. I'm hoping you keep exploring, i'm excited to watch

Excited to see where this GG series of yours goes! When if comes to choreo, I think you should really check out Pixy. Right now, there’s no group doing it like them in terms of uniqueness and complexity. They include quiet a bit of modern/contemporary styles as their choreo focuses a lot on storytelling and imagery. Especially in the Intro for their Wings live stages/dance practice. Check out their recent double title comeback with Addicted and Bewitched. Also check out their debut, Wings. They also have a dance performance for their song, The Moon, that’s insanely good. They said they wanted to try more boyish choreo with that one and the use of props in it isn’t something you see a lot with GGs or even groups in general. Unfortunately they’re from a small company and don’t get the recognition that they deserve. Definitely give them a chance!
try to imagine the amount of work and practice that goes into making these pieces of art, so easy to over look the dedication to perfection these girls put in...try and copy the dance to just one....

The fact that All itzy members are Part of Rap Line, All members are Part of Vocal Line and 4 out of 5 Members are on Official Dance line, Such a Versatile and Powerhouse Group..😌 Itzy known for having Hard Choreos better than any girl group and had best Dance breaks according to Lot of people 😘 They are Soo Young, Youngest member YUNA born on 2003, But taking over the industry.
This is why Itzy is my favourite group! You should check out Dreamcatcher as well. They're are more dark concept girl group that mix in metal and rock with their title tracks. I recommend starting with the Dystopia trilogy, Scream, Boca, and Odd Eye

Not sure if you notice or not, but the MVs from other agency or old generation, they don't have that much of camera movement or camera focus trick, But since JYP debut Twice and Itzy, they have incorporated a lot of designated camera sequence into their dancing choreography as well. P.S: Itzy last few songs dive into the trending topic of youngster nowaday for eg. Mafia in the morning is about Mafia game (or in some countries refer as Wolf Killing game where Mafia or Wolf kill at night but acting innocent in the morning), while Swipe is about what we did with tiktok or instagram.

the do sing live! u can listen to their MR removed and in some of their i forgot what theyre called but the behind videos when they r at these shows u can see em practicing just before performing
You should look at: "itzy performance practice live vocals" on youtube. It was a practice, the studio liked it so much they released it without telling them. It is live video of them singing "Not Shy" live while doing a dance practice instead of them just dancing to a recording of the song. It is amazing to see them sing that well with such active dance movement.

I get what you mean about gg dances being "easy" I know is not easy, but not that complicated either. I usually like strong choreos with hard hitting movements, gg usually focus on the hips and more girly/feminine moves, which is okay. Now if you like some gg choreo like that, I recommend "Addicted" by Pixy, I think is a kinda new group idk much about them but during Ateez promotions last cb i saw one stage of them, DAMN their choreo was HARD, i never saw that type of choreo in a gg before, its a the sam level of a bg choreo. Its so good. You can notice in the way they dont use heels on stage as usually gg do, becase their choreo is hard af so it'd be difficult to do it in heels.

There's a 4th Gen solo artist I think you might like, *AleXa.* You'll want to watch her first 4 MV's in order, because there's an overall story thread. "Bomb", "Do or Die", "Villain", and "Revolution". Vocals, rap, action-movie stunts, top-tier dancing, ...the girl is amazing!
