I have the newer umarex smoke wagon. Internal structure is very similar to yours. This video helped me a lot in finding the issue with mine. The issue turned out to be the hammer spring snapping. Thanks a bunch for making this video.
Where did you buy your replacement? I have the same issue with mine but everywhere I look is out of stock. Edit: the names are ironic aren’t they…
@@arussianspy3114 I called umarex and I paid them to repair it. They replaced the spring themselves and shipped the gun back. It was about $60.00 usd to have it repaired and shipped.

Yeah I learned this lesson the hard way, but thanks to this video I was able to fix it by putting a new spring in!

hello again, i had to replace the hammer, becouse the stud which the holds the chamber arm had broken off the hammer, but the repair was sucessful ,thanks to you and you and your vidio, thanks again graham in England.

The piece the hand rotates on snaps on both the ones I've owned have you had this problem also? I fixed mine with Krazy glue and needs to be reapplied every once in awhile but still works
One should be able to modify the spring or have one made longer and stronger if need be to support fanning.

Great video! Does the second grip come off in case one obtains spare umarex grips, or perhaps wishes to engrave or customize the grips that come with the gun? Thanks.
You can see 2 small Philip screws holding the other half of the grip once you pop the left-hand side one. Unscrew those and it’s removable.

Having a lot of difficulty putting the last spring back in for reassembly, the one that's supposed to be leaning on the sear of the rotating chamber. It keeps springing out or moving the sear the moment I let go and have to be inhumanely fast and accurate to put in the side before either of that happens

I inherited a 1959 crossman single action 6 in box with manual. It's in perfect shape except my grandfather took it apart to change the seals I guess. Real Colt SAA grips will not fit since the size and angle are completely different.
i have a nickel 7.5 would i be able to change over the barrel to a 5.5 or would i just be risking some serious shit?

giedrius laimikis Not sure, looks like some sort of zinc alloy. Definitely not steel.
Any ideas on how to fix a loose barrel? It wiggles if you move the gun either left or right.
I glued mine it fixed it
I put some teflon tape on both sides between the barrel and the frame to shim it, it doesn't wobble anymore
I had this problem and got the gun replaced now the replacement is starting to move very slightly but it'll probably get worse as time goes on

Hi, I am interested in the color of your Colt, did it come that way or did you customize it? If you did that your self did you video the process? I would love to do that to mine, is it a type of case hardening? What ever it is it is SICK!
Thanks, this is the blued version of the revolver. The finish is already there out of the box, not self-made. However some of the blue colour will be lost after a while, especially when you’re frequently handling the gun with bare hands. And start showing the bronze underneath.

Depends on where you live. But it’s out of stock in a lot of places.

I got mine yesterday and the cartridge ejector didn't work , thanks to your vid i managed to dissassemble and re assemble the gun. And i fixed the ejector! Works like dream now

Are the little sheriff badges on the grips metal or stickers? Can I easily remove them?
It’s a piece of metal. You can take off the grip and try to use a small screwdriver to get it out. But I don’t recommend this since this will leave a hole on the grip.

I have two questions: Are the insides of the peacemaker the same for both the Airsoft version, and the pellet version? Question 2: To your knowledge, why didn't they make this gun easier to remove the cylinder to clean the barrel?
High Noon45 1. Yes, should be the same. Because the disassembly is the same. Not sure whether they are 100% compatible though. 2. The design of this SAA follows the older version of the real steel SAA. So the cylinder is not detachable like the Tanaka SAA
High Noon45 I'm a cowboy in Texas I own a real colt 45 SAA and this is accurate to the real thing
On the Remington 1875 by Crosman you can strip out the cylinder easily in seconds, using the way the actual real colt can be stripped, so why not the umarexes.
Hey I have an issue, my hammer is a bit wobbly when it’s in the resting position. The gun works fine tho. the hammer just goes back and forth a little while all the way forward. Please answer!
It’s supposed to. Since the sear is not catching the hammer at this position.
So since my cylinder doesn't move it is broken and I have to get a new part
what screwdriver is that? i cant unscrew the top right screw and its probably because all of my screwdrivers are too thick to fit in the hole.
Try a small size philip screwdriver.

My experience with all of these Co2 guns is that they work for about 3 or 4 cylinders before they malfunction, exit all the air and are broke - and they are hard as heck to replace the seal gaskets in them which run about $20 - so I just throw it on the pile with rest of them as they are just junk.
How did u get that finish and how do you tighten the barrel?
Keven Hughe The finish comes with the gun. And if you need to tighten the barrel, add some seal tape to where the barrel and the frame are connecting.

from my experience, the finish is shit though. it got really ugly for me for literally no reason, most the bluing came off the cylinder and grip for me
Why does the replica have smaller, different screws than the original firearm? The big ones on it are decorative and only for the original feel....
How do you remove the right hand side grip on these Medallion grips without the screw?
marshal madsen You should be able to spot the two small phillips screws that are securing the right-hand side grip once you popped out the left hand-side grip. Losen those screws and you’re good to go.

I fully disassembled my King Arms version and it's completely different than this one so it's not like I can follow these steps in reverse like I thought I would lol
What are the most common leak issues and how can I fix them?
Addison Schraeder Most of the time it’s caused by over tightening the CO2 cartridge and damage the rubber seal of the chamber. If your gun is leaking CO2, better check the condition of rubber seal. Of course it’s the best to seek help from an airsoft technician.

Depends on where you live, but it’s out of stock in a lot of places. See if the airsoft store you bought the gun from order a spare spring for you.
Got two from red wolf airsoft dot com, most everyone else is sold out, mine actually came in the mail today and im on the video to make sure i put everything back in proper order 😂

I can see a way of putting a steel bar spring steel tension spring in there
You can fix it by taking a ziptie and some rubber bands zip tie the rubber bands too the back of the trigger works like a charm you can trouble shoot the best place to put it I put the zip tie threw the center of 3 small rubber bands than I move it undee the trigger works like a charm!
Anybody know how to get a wooden grip for this? The one on mine is not comfortable and it's slippy. Also it deserves wooden grip

My english is not good enough to understand the verb « fanning » in that case, what do you mean that can be harmful to the gun?
Branleur Et Fanning means holding down the trigger and pull the hammer down repeatedly. Because of the revolver is single action. When the trigger is held down and you pull the hammer down repeatedly, the gun will keep shooting like a full auto gun.
It is harmful to the gun is because it puts a lot of stress to the hammer spring. Causing the spring will break.

Try to find an Umarex/Wingun distributor at where you live and ask them if they can order the part for you.
I dont know why but after disassembling, my safety doesnt work. It just got loosen and lock/ unlock by itself. Can u help me? As i know . there wasnt specific spring or pins when i removed the safety . there was only safety part to remove and put back in
There supposed to be a black rubber ring thing attached to the safety. If it’s not attached properly then the safety will not stay in place.

Manos Zervos There’re several generations of the Colt SAA. The removable cylinder version is a more modern version. You only get this version of replica from Tanaka. The Umarex SAA is replicating the older version of the SAA.
It actually is possible to remove the cylinder.
at the point you removed the side plate, you failed to point out, the fact that the chamber rotating spring was off the lever arm, ? the reason the chamber was not rotating..but thank you anyway, i have that exact problem with my saa, now i know what must be done.
The spring usually pop off when the plate is out, so be careful when you put it back together.

True_ Remedyz Yep, remove the chamber and you will see two removable pins that fix the barrel in place.

4 screws of mine are like impossible to get off. Mine drop on the floor and no gaz is going on it anymore. :-/
LiquidSnake268 Probably they applied screw glue to the screws. Try using a hair dryer to melt the glue first.

How do you take out the cylinder
After you open up the tigger compartment, remove the rod which is at the center of the cylinder. Then the cylinder should be freed.

UNNOTICED Since the gun is based on the older version of the Colt SAA, the cylinder can’t be removed without disassembly.
hi i have a problem with my colt as the chamber spin very freely and has miss fires what in yuor opinion has broken

@@SemperReloading no I mean it does not fire the bb as it gets stuck between the chamber and barrel its not the c02 has its new but even when in safety mode the chamber is still sloppy .is it a spring issue or something more sinister. the hammer goes down three clicks before firing as it should but on half cock the cylinder spins very freely and I am seeing c02 coming out between chamber and hammer on firing it worked spot on the last time I used it it also fired the first two bbs perfect before problem arose many thanks ROD

Try filing down the connecting point of the trigger sear and hammer sear.

How do you remove/refit the barrel
There's two drift pins that need to be knocked out using a small drift, you punch them out from the left side to the right. I hope that helps buddy.

The Lone Ranger It’s supposed to be there. There’s a spring attached to the hammer to create this gap, so that the gun won’t shoot all the CO2 out in one single shot.
@@SemperReloading thanks for the reply and like. Yes I know the gap on the Umarex is suppose to be there for the reason's that you said, but the real Colt SAA doesn't have the gap. Now some owners of the Umarex have modified it greatly reducing the gap and not had the problem of touching the pin value therefore not venting Co2 off, it just make the appearance look 100% better. Why I think you should have a go at doing the modification is because your KZhead videos are really well done on the camera work and your commentary too is very clear and precise. I'm very sure that if you did the video on reducing the gap to the quality as the original video then once word gets out about the video then your KZhead views will sky rocket and possible subscriptions also. Something to consider my friend 🤔🙂
The Lone Ranger My Umarex SAA is actually FUBAR for a while 😂, that’s why I don’t make videos about it anymore.
The Lone Ranger If you’re still looking for an airsoft SAA, I’d recommend the Tanaka version. The internal is better designed than the Umarex version.
