realistic film which does not engage u is a shit film. The reason Malayalam film industry is at the top is because they use realism to engage the audience. That is one way to make movies. A song and dance just for the sake of it rarely entertains you , it's only when it fits into the narrative that u enjoy it. Entertainment is(and should) be the fundamental goal of any film.
