Hi friends!
I ordered the new single eyeshadow from Dior a few days ago. I bought one shade in each finish to get a full scope of the line, this includes, matte, satin, metallic and glittery. The metallic and glittery finishes turned out to be my favourites while the matte and most certainly the satin finish were more lackluster. What are your thoughts on this new collection?

The shades of the single shadows are really classic staples. It would be nice if they were a standout formula that a person would want to keep around.
I loved both looks. I almost purchased the glittery coral but couldn’t decide between that one and the metallic tutu. I am looking for something I can use in my inner corner of my eyes.

I think the price increase would be easier to accept if you were blown away by the quality of all of the formulas: Matte, Satin, Metallic and Glitter. Personally, I prefer satin formulas on my mature lids and wish they had a bigger selection of colors. Let’s see what Chanel will come out with! Thanks for introducing us to this new launch of Dior singles! ❤

Hello Allison, I have the DENIM 5-shadow palette and the Mitza eyeshadow that I love. The new eyeshadows are very beautiful, the denim is luminous in my opinion and the more intense blue is magnificent💙💙💙💙💙💙💙

My old denim single definitely looked smoother and easier to work with that that new one. Boo, Dior. I also have my old beige mitzah and poncho, which are now extra precious! I KNOW they can take talc out and still make good formulas, because most other brands are already doing it.

I have 2 of the mono eyeshadow from the old formula and I love them mostly the denim I have the nude dress also but denim is my favorite

I love the sheen of the CD metallic eyeshadows best and have been enjoying Beige Mitzah (a soft cool taupe) as my one-and-done for a few years now. I'm curious about the new formulation so I ordered a new one as well as the shades Tulle (soft mauve) and Tutu. Beige Mitzah adds a lovely light and life to the eyes, so I'm hoping the two new soft shades I ordered will do the same.

Hi Alli, You looked beautiful with both eye looks, both are so pretty but my favourite was look 2. Such a shame Denim lacked lustre but it did still look very pretty on but if you can exchange it for another Metallic colour. We spend so much money on our makeup thats important we are as happy as can be with it. Im also going to pick up Tutu and see if they have any greys or purple colours too 🌷💙

Great review Alli! I was thinking those blues reminded me of the Dior denim palette that I actually love💙 I picked a glitter, metallic and satin. I was nervous about Diors dusty matte shades🫣🤭. Six months self- life is 😑. I’m glad you’re able to return the dud shades. There too many new and amazing products to better spend your money on🫶

Thank you for the video! I was wandering if this light blue could be similar to the blue in that "Velvet blue" palette from Dior some summer ago. I had a crazy time achieving that palette....and it ended being quite dissapointing to me. Cause' I basically wanted the light blue, but in my eyelids turns more grey than blue, and that's what I was wandering about this monocolor palette. Seing how it's functioning in you I'm not gonna try it. I'm happy with Rivage though 💙💙💙
Oh interesting comparison idea! I think that palette is all matte. I ended up returning Denim because it was so disappointing but Rivage is amazing 💓

May I ask, seeing you swatches, would you say that the blue colour from the Chanel palette is the same as one from the Blue Denim from the Dior palette? Hi dear 🩵 I'm so glad that my videos can be helpful to you. I think that the light blue from the Dior Denim palette is sort of similar to the light blue Chanel, but not a perfect dupe. But, overall Denim is a fantastic palette.
I just had an idea, if you get the Denim palette, use the lightest blue shade and then add a little bit of highlighter (make sure it's a powder highlighter) on top of the blue to lighten it.

Thank you for this video :) I loved your 4 shaded creation! Am I right that it is now more worth buying a quint from Dior than a single? I'd be interested in the wear time (my eyelids are also oily, I also always roll with a primer, so your input is very relevant) for this much money, I'd expect all four finishes to look the same in a 16hr wear. I own the previous Denim single and I think it is much brighter. Must be nice to return used products, it isn't a thing in the UK as far as I'm aware. Oh and I am no expert, but the new ingredients list looks a lot friendlier overall than the old one. I'd also assume the new formulas feel creamier, if I'm just going by the ingredients list. Do they?
Hello 🩵 After a full day, tutu and the dark blue shade stayed in place. Denim faded a bit in the crease. Lucky for me, I was able to get a refund on the two shades that didn't wow me. At that price they should standout. I do find that these do feel creamier compared to previous palettes (some of their quints felt chalky and dry) which as you mentioned, are cheaper than buying a handful of singles. I would stick to the metallic finish or glittery finish singles since they seem to be stand alone shades.

Thanks for the review. I saw the green and wanted to look at that and poncho . The price is crazy for a reformulation . I like look number one and I love a pearlescent pink it is a quick one and done summer look. So disappointed denim was a 👎🏻. Yes take it back for sure. You work hard for your money and a shadow that is that expensive you need to love not just say it is ok.

@@AllisonChase I cannot believe the price hike. I think you were a smart consumer to do that. The Chanel mono shadows will be out soon maybe there will be a pretty one there. I will look into tutu . I still have 826 from Dior rose Montaigne that I love in the summer as one and done. Tutu sounds up my alley for sure . I may wait on the green and see if Chanel has a nice green come out . Forgot to add that most people are embarrassed or afraid to return things and keep them . Education is a good thing to learn as a consumer. Most would never think of returning cosmetics . I have done it a few times.

I have both! In my opinion, beige mitzah is a lot warmer than any of the shades in Soft Cashmere

I find Beige Mitzah to be a truly unique shade that I can wear as a single. It also pairs well with eyeliners in various shades.

Isn't the CDP in 9 have that pink color that might be close to the single Dior pink ? Idk I could be wrong . Idk how I feel about these singles especially the price increase lol I prefer look 2 on u but both are pretty it's just the 2nd one brings out your beautiful brown eyes even more . I would be down to see more of the metallic shades of you return the light blue and want more . Kinda sad about the lighter blue not performing that great.
It could be, I don't remember exactly. I'm also disappointed with the lighter blue eyeshadow but fingers crossed, I'll be getting a refund shortly.

Everyone seems to be reformulating without talc, increasing the prices (by a lot) and lessening the amount. I have my limits with these cosmetic companies and a lot of them reached it. A lot of companies have been making cosmetics without talc for a long long time, it isn’t rocket science.

I actually like the first look the best because you used Tutu and that's the shade in which I'm the most interested. But once again, you can do a classy blue eye like no one else, so both eyes are beautiful. Thanks for sharing your experience with these four shades.

I badly want to get that Beige Mitzah but £31 for a single eyeshadow sounds a lot. But then I do have a lot of Dior and Chanel palettes 😂🤣
To be honest, I do think that Beige Mitzah is worth the price.

I've been looking back at older releases and really overall prices seem to have increased around 20 - 30% in the last 3 years with often lower quality ingredients, quick expiration and often also less product. That's just to much and plain robbery and disregard for the customer. Meanwhile these companies make plenty profit and are in no financial trouble... Cutting costs to keep greedy investors happy that shift around virtual money has nothing to do with a company being healthy and stable and able to pay their actual employees
