For my larger bodied or heavier friends, the Herman Miller chairs tend to not have enough cushion to support heavier bodies. Through my job I tried a lot of chairs, and I ended up really loving the Om brand for different body types. They have different seat sizes and headrest options. I really wanted to love the Herman Miller chairs but they weren't supportive for my body, so I thought I'd share 😅

I work from home so my husband made me buy a good chair when I needed to replace the one I had (it broke). I have a Secret Lab and while it was quite pricey, it’s one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. I spend anywhere from 7-12 hours a day in it during the week and having a good chair really makes a huge difference!

It’s pricy, but if you spend all day at your desk investing in a good chair is really helpful. I’ve had my embody for a year now and I love it.
I feel the same about my Lifeform chair, which does a good job with us stouter bodies. For me, I've now spent around three grand on this chair over the last 8-10 years (it was already over 2.5k, but then I've had to get a few parts replaced due to a lot of daily use since I work from home--the parts are free, because the company *means it* when they say "lifetime guarantee," but they ship the parts from Canada, so S&H is a pricey PITA). But considering that every single year I was spending a couple hundred bucks on an office chair in the hopes it would be both comfortable and last? Money well spent, because I can easily continue to sit in this chair for another 10+ years.

I mean, no disrespect, but my $99 GTRacing chair has removable/adjustable headrest and lumbar support, footrest and Bluetooth speakers, I've been thrilled with it for years already and it still looks brand new! (MUCH more affordable too and comes in some pretty neat colors.)

Herman Miller does make very good chairs though. I would get one if I could afford too. Honestly, if you sit very often at a desk, buy one from a company that went under. We have one in at my parent’s house because dad bought it at a liquidation sale back in like 2013 and it was very nice to use for school during the pandemic.
She's been recomennding the chair she's sitting on for *years* tho. Sure, this is a paid ad, but the quality of the chairs actually seems to be good if you can afford them.

Honestly, when u put it into perspective, it's really not all that bad... a 12 year guarantee super high quality chair for the 1k mark or you could buy a watch, handbag, belt, hoodie, ingame currency... you get my point silly things like that. Its just how your mindset works I suppose, but of course im not denying it's expensive and for alot of people just not affordable.

While I also cannot fathom spending that much money on a chair, y’all gotta think of it in terms similar to purchasing a bed. If you have a job where your work is primarily sitting at a desk, that’s an investment you’re gonna wanna make (like how you may wanna spend a bit more money on a nicer, more supportive mattress because you’re damn near guaranteed to be using it a lot (and you’re gonna want it to stand the wear and tear of constant use))
This all being said, I also saw another comment about how this chair brand isn’t great for bigger bodies (my people lol, I’m not big big but I think Gabriel Iglesias would classify me as “husky”) so def do your research first and find something that works best for you! Even if that’s something cheaper cause while making personal investments is good it’s also obvi real hard for some people because of varying financial situations and our current economic state

How does the cloth cover hold up to kitty claws? I’m wanting to invest in a nicer office chair but don’t want to get one that my cats can easily destroy/damage. (I do keep my cats nails trimmed and there are plenty of other scratching posts around. They tend to scratch to get my attention when I’m working)

Like, this still feels incredibly tone deaf for someone that consistently talks about how expansion packs and stuff packs and even KITS($5 USD) are too expensive to turn around and try and sell us a thousand dollar chair. And not just once, this is the second video from this latest sponsorship and this isn't the first time she's worked with them.
