Biggest Premier League 'Cult' Heroes Of All Time
Cantona was a Legend. After kicking a fan he was banned from playing football for some time. At the age of 30 in his prime he said fuc*k it, I want to retire now and looked for something else to do in his life, then he became a successful actor. Such a legend he was. His quotes are savage too. Despite playing very less number of matches he managed to get many assists and goals.
Successful actor 😂 😂
How has Juninho not even been mentioned? He's the literal definition of the term cult hero. An absolute superstar playing at a team not fancied by many, got PL player of the season in a relegated side, played for Boro 3 times, was part of the team that won Boro their only piece of domestic silverware and the fans consider him the greatest player to have ever put on the shirt of Middlesbrough.
i wonder also where is Thierry Henry. back in 2000's Henry was part of the invincibles. i bet every single Premier League fan from early 2000's know this name. after that Thierry Henry has been transfered to Barcelona if i'm not mistaken.
@@diabliqblack9921 Were you trying to say Juninho was a superstar or? If you ask people about Juninho, people will instantly think of Lyon's Juninho. Going even further, I believe that if you ask people to name the 5 greatest Brazilians to ever play in the Premier League, Juninho Paulista won't even get a honorable mention by many. Don't see how you can put him and Henry in the same discussion.
People forget about Juninho Paulista who was always a fan favourite at Middlesbrough one of the best during the early days of the PL
List is incomplete without Goat Maguire who help Leicester the best they are today by looting United 80 millions and plus becoming a club captain 🤡🐐
Ah that's a good one ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha
Kind of surprised to not see Divock on the list, everything he did for us, last minute winners, scoring two past Barça to get us to the final and inevitably winning it for us by making it 2-0
Paolo Di Canio should have been mentioned.
no hes a full blown racist
@@ibnoxious4219 and? Why does that matter
Good video...what about Cisse for Newcastle..he is up there interms of cult heroes
Jay-Jay Okocha and Tony Yeboah were 'Cult' Heroes at Eintracht Frankfurt in the german Bundesliga as well.
awesome video
Gheorghe Hagi is a cult hero at Galatasaray and Turkey. People love him there beside him not being Turkish.
There can't be a video about cult heroes without even mentioning di canio
can you make a video on the most iconic celebrations in football ?
That will be good
Cantona has already won this lists top spot
There's a River Plate player that used to sacrifice a live chicken on the sidelines of the pitch everytime he scored but luckily enough for the chickens he only manage 4 goals for them....
What about players who have famous superstitions.... before matches Boca Juniors striker Martin Palermo told an interviewer that he used to masturbate in the toilet cubicle before every match he played for them but when he joined Villarreal a ban was put on this after he signed his contract which really pissed him off....
Siuuuuuuuu
Underrated channel
Dimitar Berbatov was my hero when I was 13 years old!
I don't blame u he had swag he was just a badass striker
Must be that heroic 07/08 season in Spurs. He's still my favourite player but truth be told he never achieve cult hero status.
Nemanja Vidic maybe?
Roy Keane
I don't know how the Toon felt about Hatem Ben Arfa but I certainly enjoyed watching him

Rafael Van Der Vaart has to be up there as one of the prem's biggest cult heroes as well.
Juninho.
Diego Costa should have made this list
You're joking, right?
Origi and McCallister
Robbie Savage. I hated him until he played for Derby. It was great to see a player giving his all every match and getting under the skin of the opposition.
J.j 🔥
Diego Forlan
Emmanuel Adebayor, Sergio kun Aguero and Joey Barton
Honroble mention to Dimitar Berbetov
Excellent player, unbelievable talent, hands down Spurs' most gifted player ever, but not a cult hero. Spurs fans still think that he forced a move out of the club.
OOOO BALOTELLI HE'S A STRIKER HE'S GOOD WITH DARTS
Harsh to not include Origi
I am a Manchester United supporter but I couldn't take my eyes off Michael Owen.... His turn of pace was electrifying & caused every defence to have nightmares! He was that good he scored a hat-trick v Newcastle twice in back to back seasons with Newcastle virtually fielding the same 11 players. You'd have thought that after the first game they'd have done their homework for the second game but no.... He just ran them ragged! He was worth staying up for to watch on Match Of The Day!
Where's Zola and Bergkamp
And Aguerooooooo He will be remembered forever bcuz of what he did and how he did it
The streets remember Michu.
Tugay Kerimoglu for Blackburn. He was not the most talented Turkish player ever played for a PL club, but surely he was the only one whoever attained almost a legendary status with his club.
World class mate, United fan here. Always put in a performance and a half. Wouldn't have looked out of place in our midfield at the time, and that's saying something.
Played for my club Rangers, what a footballer he was
Ur voice is fantastic
