LYRICS:
La la la la la
Yeah it’s been a long night and the mirror’s telling me to go home
But it’s been a long time since I felt this good on my own
A lot of years went by with my hands tied up in your ropes
Forever, and ever, no more
The midnight sky is the road I’m taking
Head high up in the clouds
Ohhhh
I was born to run I don’t belong to anyone, oh no
I don’t need to be loved by you
Fire in my lungs can’t bite the devil on my tongue, oh no
I don’t need to be loved by you
See my lips, on her mouth, everybody’s talking now baby
Ohh, you know it’s true, yeahh
That I was born to run I don’t belong to anyone, oh no
I don’t need to be loved by you
Loved by you….
La la la la la
She got her hair pulled back cause the sweat’s dripping off of her face
Said it ain’t so bad if I wanna make a couple mistakes
You should know right now that I never stay put in one place
Forever, and ever, no more
The midnight sky is the road I’m taking
Head high up in the clouds
Ohhhh
I was born to run I don’t belong to anyone, oh no
I don’t need to be loved by you
Fire in my lungs can’t bite the devil on my tongue, oh no
I don’t need to be loved by you
See my lips, on her mouth, everybody’s talking now baby
Ohh, you know it’s true, yeahhh
That I was born to run I don’t belong to anyone, oh no
I don’t need to be loved by you
By you….
Ohhh
I don’t hide, blurry eyes like you
Like you
I was born to run I don’t belong to anyone, oh no
I don’t need to be loved by you
Fire in my lungs can’t bite the devil on my tongue, you know
I don’t need to be loved by you
See his hands round my waist, thought you’d never be replaced baby
Ohh you know it’s true, yeah
That I was born to run I don’t belong to anyone, oh no
I don’t need to be loved by you
Yeah…
La la la la la la la

Luke 17:1 And he said to his disciples, “Temptations to sin are sure to come, but woe to the one through whom they come! better stop producing / uploading / watching those MVs... (or similar videos, pics, profile pictures, thumbnails, title names, headlines, usernames + harmful comments, bad words etc! on social media + everywhere else too. temptation / seduction etc. must stop) start deleting? censoring etc.? destroy your smartphones, cams, data storage devices etc? would be better. remove temptation / seduction + other evil things from TV, magazines etc? would be better

    • Yup, that woke me up from my broken busted heart. I fell hard for a guy who didn't deserve me in the slightest. I didn't realize it for a while, but I needed to hear it and then Miley came through out of nowhere with this track!!! I even went back to listen to the JRE podcast... I completely loved what she said about loving a dead corpse (her relationship with Liam) she said it's dead, dead is dead, let it go.

I felt free I felt liberated as a woman after hearing this song. I was so unappreciated in my relationship that when this song played I realized I didn't need to be loved by him and I was going to be ok with it. It changed the trajectory of my life and how my future relationship with father of my child wass going to be. I was released.

    • @@echobean5222 It's funny because I've seen similar lighting in 4K kpop productions, Studio Choom for example. So I kinda get Miley's point. It can be done. I think the most challenging part is that she chose such extreme, high contrast lighting with BOLD colors. The first thing I noticed was that the uploaded video here is encoded incredibly well! It's actually a technical feat. There was a moire effect on her silhouette in the beginning, but that's unavoidable. Then the file not getting mercilessly squashed by uploading it on KZhead is another kind of miracle. I wanna know the technical deets tbh, this was such a deceptively simple production but man this such an amazing technical feat!

Not that I was ever actually invested in hating anyone, it's just an avenue to channel typical angsty teen frustrations and pettiness. Because I was never really invested in her career or personal growth, this song came out of nowhere for me and I genuinely enjoy it in a way I never thought I would with a Miley Cyrus song lol.
