Why would you stay in CDA knowing what goes on there? I remember walking into a restaurant there with my wife and bringing the whole place to silence and wonder as they gazed at us.

Why? Did you have two heads? A good many of the population of North Idaho have moved here from a different state, California for instance. In fact, I've been here 25 years and I'm from California so we don't necessarily faint if we see a mixed marriage or relationship. I was in a mixed race relationship back in California before it was cool. So what? You're going to have prejudices in any state you go to. This is actually the first time that I remember that a racial slur was shouted at someone around here if it actually happened.
My parents lived there. Let's not make excuses for racist. Yes, there are some good people, and they don't like the racism, either.

I saw the car. It was an orange 1969 dodge charger with a Confederate flag on the roof and it's horn played Dixie as it peeled out of town to go jump a river with no bridge. Waylon Jennings was playing on the stereo.

It's actually 02 to 06. My ex GF had a maroon 05 like it. I don't know that she painted it silver, but I can't for sure she hasn't. I don't know if she's recently beem to Idaho, but I don't know for sure that she hasn't.
