Overeem gets right back up with 4 seconds to go and the ref calls the fight ? That is not a knock out just a knock down. Overeem could have lasted 4 seconds. All he had to do is cover up. So his lip was split open, so what !

@@xShinobiXxThe ref didn't stop the fight because of the laceration though. He saw Reem get dropped onto his butt and honestly thought he was KO'd. He was not expecting Alistair to get back up and unfortunately botched the call. Happens all the time and is nothing to be ashamed of. (Ex. Lawler vs Askren)
@@hotdoggravyIt was Round 5 already. There is no more mid-rounds for the Doc to stop the fight. The ref was the only one able to call the fight due to a laceration at that point. However, that is not the reason the fight was called. He legit thought Reem was put to sleep which is why he stepped in. This was the wrong call, but it happens so frequently that you can't really fault him.

Bad decision..my opinion..
