GLORY 13 Tokyo - Joe Valtellini vs. Raymond Daniels (Full Video)

2016 ж. 15 Ақп.

Having earned a spot in the GLORY 13 TOKYO Welterweight Championship Tournament, Canadian-Italian kickboxer Valtellini intended to stamp his authority on the competition. First up was previously undefeated karate master Raymond Daniels.
Daniels had caused endless problems for his past opponents. He was unbeaten going into this fight and had stopped UFC veteran Brian Foster at GLORY 11 CHICAGO with one of his trademark spin kicks. Valtellini became the first opponent to figure his unique timing out, destroying his stance with leg-kicks then going high for a head-kick.

  • If people are wondering how you beat the karate elusive style, this is how you do it. chin down, hands up, cut off the ring, work the body and legs. perfect gameplan, karate fighters are very fast so trying to catch them is suicide. chop his legs down take away his movement then you got him.

Daniels speed for his size is unreal and his accuracy with such advanced techniques is almost magical. Cant understand why kickboxing hasnt taken off to more popularity in America. • These commentators are so slow to describe the action. They don't even point out how badly Daniels is hurt when he stops hopping around, begins leans stiffly on the left leg, and switches stances to protect the leg. They wait until Valtellini has pummeled the leg until they even mention it, and even then, they don't even point out how badly hurt the guy is, or how the leg kicks are what won the fight for Valtellini! The leg kicks crippled Daniels' movement and froze him up for Joe to land solid punches and the two great high kicks, which sealed the deal.

The guy he fought in Bellator was was waaayy too slow for him though.. he couldn’t even move out of the way from the half assed kicks Daniels threw. ...but Daniels is very wild and throws a lot of uncalculated strikes. • the problem with daniels style is mainly the size of the ring..its a ,lot smaller than an mma cage, which limits movement etc..this is why MVP is so successful with his style in mma..he has a lot more space there, whereas in these kickboxing competitions the muay thai based styles seem very efective because its much easier to cut someone off and into a corner..if mvp fought these kickboxing competitions, it would be a lot harder for him as well..
