@@silentcoyotecreations integrated graphics on an i3 are literally 2x better than a GT 710. Modern Ryzen APUs are comically superior to it. It would be a downgrade over a Celeron iGPU. Would be fine if it didn't cost as much as a Pentium Gold.

0.6 fps still shows as 1 fps iirc, but the difference in latency is 1.6 seconds versus 1 second flat. Which is additional 60% latency and is very noticeable

@@AnnaDoes Could probably make a model to 3d print. Even if you don't want to do the printing yourself (it's a lot of time and work) you could sell the print file(s) for a few bucks and people could print it themselves. Weirdly enough, I've seen a few bong files on Thingiverse, even a kraken one already

Oh, my experience at sieges in one MMO. Game was single thread limited, and as result i got dropped down to 1 frame every 3-5 seconds. Ngl, after i tried this game with better CPU recently, it was pretty smooth, even though still could drop to like 20-40 FPS. Unless i toggles other characters on. Then it went straight to 1 FPS or less.
Looking at the name on the fan, it looks like it isn't Dica-saver, but rather Dicasver, so I think I would prefer to pronounce it Dic-ass-ver, or perhaps Dic-ass-VR, which is probably an accurate description of what playing VR games with that graphics card would be.

Dawid, you have to set a custom resolution in your GPU's control panel BEFORE you try to game in 8K!! Upvote this so he sees it.
Even with legit GPUs, the 8k marketing push is pretty funny considering most gamers are still good with 1080p.
ikr the latest Steam survey has less than 3.5% of players at 4K.
Considering we're only starting to see hardware which can do acceptable FPS at 4k...Or people that cheat using DLSS, XeSS or FSR and claim that.
to be fair, the RX 580 2048SP is actually a usable (maybe not great) 1080p gaming GPU, as shown in the beginning of the video. The only thing really sketch about this GPU is the marketing (and maybe the 6-pin to 2x8-pin power adapter).
The only reason we're seeing more of this card right now is because it fell over extended support and that made them very cheap to buy and the same goes for the lower Polaris SKUs like RX550.
I only play 8k!

@@spoopyangieprobably Thermal Throttle (i barely looked at the video lmao), this 580 can pull up to 90-100 ish Degrees Celsius fairly fast because this spacific model has a shit fan curve/max speed because the chinese also wanted to pull up with "Silent" in marketing, who woulda guess that shitty plastic fans would actually translate to a barely useable 8k graphics card
@@k3n179 this is more 570 than 580 and cooler like this one should be enough to avoid thermal throttling but die contact is probably bad, gap between heatpipes and plate is visible even on video and that groove in between doesn't help. They try to fill that with thermal paste but as we all know that's not how paste work.
@@gorjy9610 yeah, but the thing is, this specific fan and hestpipe design is actually made for the GTX 10 series (specifically the 1050 and 1050TI and 1060 3gb) that actually doesn't heat up that much as the regular old capped rx 500 series that they sell from china, the heat pipes are actually bent and re-made to be hastly packed by only 4 screws on the non-existent backplate, and the motor on the fan is really really sensible to heat, here in Brazil is really common to see that the fan die with a couple months of use and then you can buy replacements

yet 8K is still somehow smoother than geforcenow
I use Geforce now at 1440p to 4k max bit rate running at 50Mbps and I might have a short stutter every hour or two, but other then that it runs perfect.

VSR is actually really fun to use (when you can use it) glad you shouted it out. If you want to do 1440p gaming in a 1080p monitor
Yeah I couldn't get VSR working either. I remember being able to fake a resolution using Custom Resolution Utility but now that doesn't even work when it did on my GTX 560 Ti and 950. It''s really annoying..

6:38 I heard that the "Memory Usage" option in MSI Afterburner only shows the memory allocated and not the memory actually being used. The "Memry Usage/Process" option shows the actual usage. For example, in Forbidden west, the game allocates about 6 gb of the vram, but actually uses 5 gb of it. Not a huge difference but still a difference.

The preview window in obs is actually pretry fast. Ive played games through it. Just make sure your encoding through the gpu
8:07 AMD's Super Resolution says "up to 4K"
but i did run 8k on my 6900xt before i sold it. i ran genshin impact. it ran at like 25fps iirc
My 6950 XT on a 4K display with Super Resolution however does allow for up to 8K in apps and windows. That is outdated or for older GPUs because it is actually up to 8K in my case with a RX 6950 XT and with it off 4K becomes the highest again.
I was able to run a Firepro S9050 @ 8k on Super Resolution. It's sort of like a 12 GB 7970.
@@GraveUypo mihoyo games have built-in super resolution features. just set the "render quality" to 2.0 or 200% (it's different in each game) and you'll render the game at 8K if you have a 4K monitor.
*i think asurix RX 5500 XT and RX 5700 XT is the better refurbished option*
Depends from where you are in the planet, here in Brazil the Rx 580 is the best one in price to performance.

5600xt is around $110 (plus tax depending of your country). Mining cards but at least they didn't mine for 5-6 years like these rx"580" and depending of model can be better buy.

8:25 You don't actually have to have an 8k display in order to render 8k
You do because downscaling adds overhead. The GPU has to render each frame at 8k then scale it down to your monitor's native resolution in real time. Even if you use the virtual display method, you're still adding overhead because that's how Virtual Super Resolution works. It creates a virtual display at that resolution, then gives you the downscaled version of it at your native.

My crusty old 1080ti ran Fallout New Vegas at 8K really well, unfortunately it looked worse than 1440p because the model and texture issues became more visible.

Just a suggestion. You can buy those cheap 8k capture cards or dummy plugs and capture the output in OBS. Also, the 1080 capture cards support 8k super sampling
1:56 Yes it does have heatpipes, but it's still a milled chunk of aluminium, not a stack of soldered finns. The card could have been used for mining before and now sold maybe with a new cooler.
@Dawid I have the exact same card. Well, exact enough I guess that's why I'm writing this. My card says "2304" SP since I know these are binned GPUs, is this number reflective of how many active cores are left on the die, with the 'SP' part being the designation that it IS a cut down card?
2048 shader model is RX 570. 2304 shader model is RX 580. That scam "RX 580 2048SP" is an RX 570.

@@mattparker9726 You can check with TechPowerUp GPU-Z program. If it really has 2304 shader processing units, it's not cut down. But if you say it's a China model and 66 coins, it's definitely one of those silly 570's with that scam name.
