I hope we get to see some of this from Kane in the playoffs. He was great in the previous playoffs
I told myself the day Kane skated after his injury, if he gets a hatty I’m betting on oilers for the cup. Kane is so integral as an aggressive skilled forward it was a no brainer. Also will say Ekholm makes me even more confident in the big W

Just when I thought I knew what Oilers got with Ekholm ... he comes out today and gets 3 assist. Ekholm the Viking has transformed the Oilers Dcore.... team is getting DANGEROUS at the Perfect time.
Other teams are noticing....teams that the Oilers might have to beat should they get to the finals like the Bruins or Leafs, which the Oilers have split games with this season.
I saw the score being 5-3 and McDavid having 0+2. I sat down to watch him score a goal. And score a goal he did.

Good Luck Kane and Oilers on your cup win. I am proud to be one of the few sharks fans who did not just believe everything his wife said without proof. Kane was the Sharks best player his last season on the team. I am happy for him he can be on a winner like Burns, Pavs and Timo.

Burns was one of the smartest trades the Canes have made. He’s involved in much of the scoring, he’s got the moves of a forward, blocks shots, is just plain fun to watch. I especially chuckle when an opponent goes to run him into the boards and then has second thoughts and holds back. Lol. Until Svech tore his ACL, I had a strange feeling I might see my beloved Canes face the Oilers in a cup final for the second time in my life. Edmonton is talent-laden up front, and just keeps improving. And what a series that was back in ‘06. Best of luck and much respect to the Oilers.

We have, if you follow the team as close as I do...yes, Bouchard especially had a bad one, but the addition of Ekholm, like Keith, last season, will mentor and mature his game. Desharnais has also given the backend some much needed grit & a steadiness. "D" is a T E A M mindset & commitment to play for one another...when this happens on a steady basis, magic happens.

@@ROOK91 From what I read it's the first round has the best record division record vs the lowest wild card record. The other division winner vs the top wild card. And 2nd vs 3rd within divisions. Last year the first 2 rounds stayed within divisions but it doesn't have to be that way.
