I agree with you! But it was Qala's mom who put her into such situations. Qala was struggling and suffering from depressions. Her mom never encouraged or appreciated her talents. What Qala did was wrong. But can't blame her 100%.
And you missed on the biggest lesson love your daughter as much as you would have loved a son.. ghar ke waris ke chakkar me betiyon ko ignore mat kro… they are alsl your blood. And that’s why I think this discrimination wherever exist is not going to end because most of the people must have missed on the very issue which was being portrayed from the start of the movie.. it saddens me
I have alot to say about this movie, first of all just go and watch it without a single thought. This movie has it all. Music and the aesthetics are my fav , but the story, each and every person acting, the costume, the visuals. I never like a song without listening to it twice or thrice but I literally got in love with every song within the first listen. My fav scene is the boat scene where they were singing under the moonlight. The serenity🌺 What a great movie.

I can relate to this movie because I've felt that craving for love from my mother. When she acted lovingly to other children but not me, it made me hella jealous. The limits Qala was ready to go to just for her mother's validation are understandable. It reminds me of the quote 'Hurt People Hurt people'. My mother also had unhealed childhood trauma so I've forgiven her now for her behavior in the past. Won't let it repeat for my children.

Laila meri Laila, so happy to see tripti getting what she always deserved. Excited for Babil Khan too. he looked exactly like Irfan(of Namesake) in one of the frames. the story also seems quite promising. Hope it lives upto the expectation.
Kind of reminded me of Black Swan to some extent. Not sure if anyone else got the vibes. Nonetheless, this one’s going to be an amazing one it seems. Tripti is such a beautiful girl and has an amazing career ahead. Although i am awaiting to see Babil. Just want to relive the legend “Irrfan Khan” through Babil’s eyes and hopefully he won’t disappoint.

This film was amazing and highlighted so many issues including parental abuse and schizophrenia. Ive never seen an indian film like this before so thank you Netflix for giving independent artists the chance to show themselves. Anvitta Dutt really did well with the direction and the writing. I would like to see Bulbbul next. The way this was filmed really gave me chills and i could see through the mind of someone with mental ill health. I loved the music too and blended innocent with chaotic so well.
Just watched.... Top notch acting by all the cast especially the lead actress OMG what a performer. she made me feel all the emotion she is going through... Ending broke me to tears 😭 Have already watched Laila Majnu next am watching Bulbul only for Tripti.

This movie was so disturbing that I would never watch it again but it was so beautiful that I wished I could watch it again for the first time. This movie isn’t about the plot. There is not story but emotion. This movie illustrates feelings. It has nothing to with becoming famous or guilt, but the feeling of being trapped by your destiny when all you want is love and it’s about the feeling of not having control.

Truly masterpiece. Every frame is beautiful. Everybody's acting is top notch. Tripti nailed it. Emotions were conveyed so beautifully that even though i guessed what she did and how it will end but was shocked upon revelations. I cried a lot.

CSF and Anvita Dutt are back with another entrancing, chilling work of art with incredible visuals and songs, it seems. And what a team of actors, too - Tripti Dimri looks like she's going to deliver another haunting performance, Babil Khan's aura is already so intriguing, the understated power there. And finally, the inimitable Swastika Mukherjee, absolutely killing it from these few glimpses, I expected nothing less from her! I have a feeling the dynamic of Swastika's Urmila to Tripti's Qala is going to be as complicated and compelling to me as Paoli's Binodini to Tripti's Bulbbul was...Very excited for this one! Also, Rubaaiyaan is STUNNING!

I was only recently thinking about Tripti Dimri and how few films she’s done considering how talented and beautiful she is but I have realized she’s pickin some of the most interesting scripts and workin with extremely talented people. Laila Majnu, Bul BuL and now this. Completely different stories, visually captivating and lookin different in every damn roles, now that’s a sign of a great actress.
Qala's album will go down as the most underrated album of this year. Songs are Pure Bliss ❣.

We must appreciate Babil khan and tripti dimri acting equally. Both of them nailed their role. Swastika Mukherjee and Varun grover was too good. The theme of the movie ( mental health, childhood trauma, gender inequality, good/bad parenting) and the cinematography makes the movie a masterpiece 🔥.
Artists no doubt performed their part beautifully…. But it wouldn’t have been possible without the vision of its director Anvita Dutt , the cinematographer, the script writer , the music composer, the singers .. in one line if I say the Whole Team . Without a good team the artists alone can’t play their part perfectly, as we have seen the same thing happening with Perfectionist like Aamir Khan who couldn’t justify his character even being such great actor in Lal Singh .. I wish Anvita Dutt and her team a big congratulations n hope she will keep making such masterpieces..
