00:00 Blood Stain Removal Introduction
From minor scrapes to unfortunate injuries to...other circumstances, we’ve all had to deal with blood finding its way onto our clothing.
00:45 How Blood Stains Fabrics
Human blood consists of several elements including hemoglobin and other coagulating agents that bond with whatever they touch when exposed to air. This is what stops blood from flowing out of an open wound but it also causes blood to stick to fibers.
03:02 How to Pretreat Fresh Blood Stains
If you are actively bleeding, treat your injury to stanch the blood flow -- both to prevent further staining and to ensure that you don’t pass out!
Next, if possible, remove the stained article. Dab away excess blood with a clean paper towel and flush the stain with cool or cold water from behind.
Once blood stops flushing from the stain, if you’re able to continue with the cleaning process, do so. If not, blot the wet area dry for now with a paper towel or clean cloth. Avoid rubbing or scrubbing.
05:00 Removing Small or Recent Stains
06:48 Medium Removal Difficulty and Older Stains
08:33 Large or Dried & Set-In Stains
Blood stains can be an annoying hassle but we hope that with the steps outlined. Getting them out shouldn’t be too bloody difficult!

  • For everyone wondering who this is for: Blood is a part of life for lots of rock climbers, martial artists, tradesmen, laborers, and beyond! TL;DR: anyone who regularly engages with physicality will engage with blood!

  • I’m a GM for two different Vampire the Masquerade games. *Thank you* for this weirdly relevant video. Also: for really tough fabrics that can take a beating, Spot Shot carpet cleaner is the best thing out there. Detergent, vinegar, and dish soap are all good too; dish soap is my favorite for immediate removal. Keep the water cold! Hot water makes it stain worse.

  • the first video i watched on GG was a rather unimpressive Raphael talking about fountain pens video (for an fp connosieur). a few years later i came back to learn about de razor shaving, got pulled in and completely infatuated with the channel. i even started thinking i should try a classic outfit some time. i originally thought Raphael was some guy from a rich family boasting to have a collection of fountain pens at 15, and that Preston was some guy from a rich California family, but after learning about your background and seeing all the videos about how one could adopt a classic style without spending too much money i realised how wrong i was, and it turned out your passion for classic lifestyle was much more genuine. and videos like these are simply gold. they both have a quirk and perfect utility. a heartfelt thank for you for this channel.

  • A month ago I crashed riding bicycle knee first wearing a light grey pair of levis against the sidewalk, it scrapped my knee and blood stained the jeans, didn’t notice until I was going to take a shower, I immediately took a soft sponge so I would not damage the fabric, soaked with a natural dish soap mix since it's design for food and organic matter, got the jeans wet and started cleaning the inner part then the blood got to the outside and cleaned it also, rinsed and cleaned both sides again, left it to dry and the large blood stain was removed completely.
