Thank you for that. Yes absolutely shallow is great for catching spawning fish. But I don't chase them when they are up spawning because we'll they are spawning lol. Don't want to risk ruining a nest or future catfish.

Minus the 30 & 40, I had pretty much the same conditions (low flow) yesterday. All my fish looked to be males. I had one good take down that may have been a female, but I rushed the hook-set and didn’t get the hook in well enough. I have committed this spring and early summer to catfishing. In the years past, I was always targeting bass & crappie. This is basically my second year of targeting catfish. The rivers I fish are much smaller and shallower than those you fish, but they still hold some decent size fish.
Yeah it's a different animal than bass or crappie. But it sure is fun when you get it figured out.

Well done Micka! Water temps got high over here in E TN, seems like they are starting spawn full blast. Switching to nothing but anchoring fishing for Flatheads until mid June.
Yeah gonna do some of that myself.
I got a app called marine traffic I use to locate barge traffic on the mississippi river it show real time

I went this morning. Tried to catch fresh bait and white bass but couldn't find them. But had none I tried live bait but no hits. For some reason I just can't find the white bass to use as bait.
They are pretty scattered right now. The ones I caught where spawned out. And I was just making random cast down a bank. Ran into a few.
I went on a lake water temp was 74 and it was a bad day

Thank you and welcome to the channel. I have the Lowe Catfish20. They have a new one called the Outlet 20. I help a little with the redesign on that one but they still didn't add the stuff to the live well like I said but its still a good boat.
@@mickaburkhart14 that’s what I thought! I’ve looked at the catfish 20 several times, my only concern would be the low sides with my little ones. Not sure how I feel about the big wing looking gadget on the outlet!
When you are doing your suspended rod, and the depths are varying, are you adjusting the depth the suspended rod is at?
Yep. Got to watch the depth and adjust accordingly. Like to keep the bait about 2 foot off the bottom.

what are you using to burp the fish
It's a 24" peice of 1/2" pvc pipe with some random holes drilled in one end of it.
We're you dragging up stream or down stream?
I always drag against the current.
