Friday Night Funkin' is a free-to-play and open-source rhythm game. Developed by a team of four Newgrounds users, the game has a play style reminiscent of Dance Dance Revolution and PaRappa the Rapper with an aesthetic reminiscent of Flash games popular in the early-mid 2000s on platforms such as Newgrounds.

  • oh my god that is PERFECT the voices were on point and weren't too high pitch or low pitch, the pitch was where it should be also the hd character designs are so well done and the character animations are very accurate, keep up the good work!

  • 1. The sprites are looking fantastic as always! Except Triple Trouble Sonic.EXE, his idle animation looked a bit funky. 2. The newer voices also sound great! Although, it does pain me that Whitty lost his guitar sounding voice for that sounded amazing beforehand, however if you, along with other people, prefer Whitty’s original voice, then I will respect that for this is just an opinion :) 3. Trick question here. I guess the newer covers because…well, they’re new? Personally, I don’t mind 4. The quality is still looking as amazing as ever! Keep up the amazing work! Take breaks if you need to as well!

    • The season that I think that the Xenophanes HD (Aka sonic.exe from triple trouble) was actually made static (every pose of him was static) because a KZheadr named carloszzz made it that way ,I don't know why he made it static but I guess it was because lag or problems? Obviously this person animated him to be more good looking and animated (like he did with shaggy ,Monika ,Yuri ,Etc) In a nutshell: the sonic exe triple trouble sprite was originally static and YThundyth made it animated

  • Welcome back, I hope things will start to get better for you. I'd say the sound effects like the one at the start were a pretty good idea, it reminds me of your cover of Ejected. Tricky's "Haaaank" scream was sort of a precursor to them as well. I like the edit for the thumbnail, with everyone having Tankman's helmet. Would be interesting to see how this could be extended for other characters that may appear in future covers.

    • Thanks, I'm still having issues and am pretty busy IRL, but I think I really need start uploading much more often now that I have everything set up in a way that makes it a lot easier to do so. And glad you like it, I'll start using more for future covers. Regarding the thumbnail, yeah, I think it could be a good idea to make them more diverse.
