  • EDIT* LOL! 3:17 - mean to say 2014 GS HATCHBACK not 2024 GS Sedan haha. Hey everyone! Thank you SO much for checking out my FIRST full-length video! It meas a ton to me. But I need your help - would love to know how I can improve my videos. Any tips, tricks, or hints in terms of editing, pacing, cuts, and even the content itself. I want to make these videos A) because I love doing it but B) because I want you all to enjoy them. :)

  • My son's 1st car was a 2014 Mazda 3 Hatchback (manual) and he loves it so much! He has had it for about 7-8 years and now has a wife and 1 year old son, so trading it in for a large Mazda...the Mazda CX5 AWD automatic (the teen in him is over the manual stick...lol). He convinced me to test drive the same car and I'm sold too! So much better then the Grand Caravan I'm driving!! We pick up these Mazda CX5's tomorrow from the dealership...excited 😊...his is Sonic Silver and mine is Soul Red Crystal!!

  • Cylinder deactivation absolutely works and nets about a 10-15% MPG improvement with my 2023 3 manual. Routinely getting 35-40 MPG with this car, which is a noticeable improvement over my 2015 3 manual (both with the 2.5 liter motor). Really enjoying my gen 4 car, but the gen 3 was also a fabulous bit of kit.

  • If you turn off the centerpoint and leave the bass eq at 0 it's extremely bassy, almost like an aftermarket subwoofer. However it also reveals some structural quality issues and rattles that you otherwise wouldn't notice.

    @somefavabeans@somefavabeans2 күн бұрын
    • Yes, I heard the sedan has a lot of rattling from the subwoofer, which is a shame on such an expensive car. This weekend I was moving, and I had a TON of stuff in my trunk. I was absolutely amazed at how much better the subwoofer sounded lol

    • @@mikescardiaries the fix is shoving something in the loose headliner/roof in the backseat, right where it meets the windshield. I put some strips of soundproofing material into it, some people just shove a napkin and it fixes it almost completely

    • I love the color! In different lighting it takes on different hues. I’ve had pretty much every color over the years and have found lighter colors don’t show scratches as easily as dark colors. I got the greige interior which looks sharp and I think will wear better then a pure white interior. Would you recommend micro fiber clothes to wipe dust from the gauge cluster and piano black areas? I’ve heard pretty much anything used to clean these areas will scratch the material. I wish Mazda would have used more scratch resistant material in these places. Mark here in Southern California. ✌🏻😉✌🏻

    • @@oceanlover3530 That's awesome! I'm so happy for you, it's a great car and beautiful! I highly recommend getting The Rag Company towels on Amazon. Then, I highly recommend a product called ONR (Optimum No Rinse). It takes a bit of learning to blend the mixture down to the right ratio of water to product - but you can spray this directly onto your MF towels and use that to clean the piano black trim scratch-free (and even the gauge cluster). Just be VERY careful not to wipe too aggressively. Always wipe once in one direction, then move the towel around to a clean area for the next wipe etc. That way, you won't re-introduce the debris your towel picked up into the next wiping motion. Hope this helps!

  • You did a great job. I have a 2020 Hatchback premium with MT. Polymetal gray w/ red interior. I love my vehicle! Before this i had a 2015 GT with MT also, loved that one too. I have had almost zero issues with this (super minor trim piece needed fixing) and it's super fun to drive. My son has a 2007 sedan that he still drives and will for a couple more years. Coming from driving minivans for 24 yrs, I was so happy to get a car i loved. Premium interior, comfortable ride.... i'll drive it as long as i can get in and out of it (I'm 56) which hopefully will be many years to come!

    • @@mikescardiariesHi! Thanks for your reply. Only a small number of manuals sold for BP series hence the reason for the discontinuation. Now in Aust. only a few diehards want manual; if you do your driving test in an auto, your licence is restricted and you cannot drive a manual legally. @weizen5159@weizen5159Ай бұрын
    • Hey mate! Thanks for checking out the vid. Glad you liked it. In terms of the Bose audio, I'd say that I probably wouldn't have spent extra for just that - but since I had to get the higher trim just to get the car with the manual transmission, it came included anyway. I'd say it's pretty good, but it won't blow you away or anything. A dedicated amp and subwoofer would be noticeably louder/more bass-heavy. Hope this helps!

    • I believe Mazda dropped it for 2021, but then has reintroduced it in all subsequent model years. I think it really depends on what engine it is as well..I believe SkyActiv-X does not have it at all. But in a North American SkyActiv-G engine from 2023, almost certainly it's there.

  • I got the 2023 Mazda3 S in the white. There is a ocean of white out there but the Mazda3 sedan is the best looking. After 3k miles everything smoothed out including cylinder deactivation. It was a little clunky at first and now I don't notice it. I am getting 50 MPG on flattish 50 mph roads.

I’m from Abbotsford, B.C (my fellow Canadian) and just got approved financing for the first time for a new car and getting the Mazda 3 GS Luxury Package. Now my last car was a 2011 Chevy Cruze and the greatest features that I’ve had in that car was Power locks, power windows, and Bluetooth haha. So going from that car to this car is Gonna be a huuuuuuuge change for me and these videos are definitely helping me understand my future car until it arrives (got it in that sweet sweet red) So thank you v much for these videos and if I have any questions about the new M3 I’ll definitely ask you haha. If you look at the community tab on this channel, you'll see that I actually had a 3rd gen in Soul Red for around 2 months last year lol. You'll love the car, and again, congrats! I'm happy these videos were able to help you out. Cheers from Ontario. Also, I forgot to mention this in the video(s) - but don't forget the Mazda Connect app. Your dealership will help you get set up. You can lock/unlock your car from anywhere in the world, and you can do some other stuff like check tire pressure etc. Super cool app.

    • Woah what?! That’s insane!! That’s definitely a cool feature to have and will definitely ask about it once back at the dealership. Only thing I’m dreading is the car insurance cost, ICBC basically makes us poor already as is and with me working at the Vancouver School Board I have to have special insurance which makes my overall payments higher. • Yes, only 2 litre engines here in the UK, in 2 states of tune @garymc3519 122bhp and 186bhp, and most people get the manual, as lovely throws and more economical than the auto gearbox which many find indecisive and takes the fun out of the lovely manual. With adaptive cruise control in manual guise, it can feel like being in an auto some of the time anyway. Auto slightly slower too than UK manual.

Algorithm allows transition to 2 cylinders at too low of an engine speed around town, inducing vibration. Transition from 4 to 2 on the freeway is often abrupt.
