    • i think most people would agree, but i'm guessing the S55 just wouldn't fit with the stock ECU of the F20, so it makes sense. this is standard for most engine swaps, you just gotta link it up to a display that can properly communicate with the computer

    • also, the steering wheel is not OE, it is most likely from aliexpress or something similar, if you look at the M badge on the lower center of the wheel it is their clear sign of being chinese

  • Max, the N55 and the S55 are not the same engine. Yes, the N55 was the baseline from which BMW started the development of the S55 but the changes are not small. S55 is a closed deck design whereas the N55 is a open deck design. Furthermore approximately 25% of the parts are completely new and alot of the rest has been improved. So it's not just cooling and turbos. Just FYI

    • @BPF80MCar-vi1pg There is a big difference between M3 and 135 with S55 swap. The weight distribution in the 135 isn't right because of the weight engine. Like I said before, I would buy 140i rather than doing the swap.

  • I like the black/tan/chrome spec and the build is very cool, I just don‘t like that the wheels are definitely an inch too big and the spacers (or wheel offset) is a centimeter too much. The wheels just look awkward, too big and sticking out too much.

  • 100-200 in 8,6 sec in a 1500kg 1-series? That's definately more than 430HP I think.. My E89 Z4 35is with 405HP (603Nm) takes 9,3 sec, and that has less drag with the same weight..
