We will all miss Simon. His beautiful farm house is so warm and cozy, with beautiful natural light. All the earthy, nature elements of wood and stone make the house so welcoming. I look forward to seeing what else Simon does when he returns. What a lovely spot in rural France. 😊

I've taken to watching many renovation videos and Simon is absolutely correct in that you need to START with a plan for whatever you are renovating - cottage, summerhouse, cabin, etc. I see others just jumping right into tearing down walls and pulling up floors without the "basics" - roof, plumbing, electrics. Always want to be on to decorating which is the LAST step. Hope the best for Simon on his "tour". Yannis will continue his astounding "learning curve" and Billy will be doing "Billy" things. Bravo!

Love the idea of convent remnants/ leftovers being put to use in Simon's renovation. It suits his build and reduces stored materials at the convent. Win win situation. Can't wait to see the new staircase.

Yes, I was thinking of all those extra sinks. A long time ago when they were searching for potential treasures in the drain pipes 😂 that was a fun quest. Hopefully a sink could be spared from the convent and it is small enough to clear the swing path of the door at Simon’s loo

I want to live in Simon's farmhouse (I can dream). I have loved it since he first showed it and could picture myself having a cup of tea on the swing overlooking the scenery. Simon's work is truly amazing. It will be a lovely and oh so comfortable home. Three months without Simon will be hard but I'll tough it out. Edit: Oh, a suggestion. Rather than just the small square hole in the stairwell to allow natural light in, how about a rectangular hole, the length of that wall with an old piece of stained glass installed. It would be gorgeous both from the perspective of the inside of the bathroom but also provide colour and beauty to the stairwell as well., yet still maintain the natural light. Hugs to all ! 🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗

Lovely idea, but surely the person coming up the stairs would be able to see the person sitting on the loo! There is nothing more off putting, in a moment of intense internalisation, than the worry of being accidentally spied upon 😩

What a great idea - that little window is up pretty high so I don't think people would be able to see into the main part if it was made longer and narrower.

Love the idea of a rectangular window, it would be wonderful to not only get more light but open it up with a view of the stairwell as well. Maybe Simon has chosen a small window to keep it in accordance with the age and style of the old farmhouse.

Hope you also ‘borrowed’ some of Billy’s leftover plaster and offcuts 😬 You may like to consider that a light is needed on the other side of the on-suite above the basin, and don’t forget the mirror, they are both musts for lady friends 😉 Get plenty of relaxation and recreation back in England. I want to live in Simon's farmhouse (I can dream). I have loved it since he first showed it and could picture myself having a cup of tea on the swing overlooking the scenery. Simon's work is truly amazing. It will be a lovely and oh so comfortable home. Three months without Simon will be hard but I'll tough it out. Edit: Oh, a suggestion. Rather than just the small square hole in the stairwell to allow natural light in, how about a rectangular hole, the length of that wall with an old piece of stained glass installed. It would be gorgeous both from the perspective of the inside of the bathroom but also provide colour and beauty to the stairwell as well., yet still maintain the natural light. Hugs to all ! 🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗
Lovely idea, but surely the person coming up the stairs would be able to see the person sitting on the loo! There is nothing more off putting, in a moment of intense internalisation, than the worry of being accidentally spied upon 😩
What a great idea - that little window is up pretty high so I don't think people would be able to see into the main part if it was made longer and narrower.
Love the idea of a rectangular window, it would be wonderful to not only get more light but open it up with a view of the stairwell as well. Maybe Simon has chosen a small window to keep it in accordance with the age and style of the old farmhouse.
Love your farmhouse and the renovations Simon. Hope you also ‘borrowed’ some of Billy’s leftover plaster and offcuts 😬 You may like to consider that a light is needed on the other side of the on-suite above the basin, and don’t forget the mirror, they are both musts for lady friends 😉 Get plenty of relaxation and recreation back in England. We will be counting the days until you’re back 😔
We love Simon's additions to the channel. We'll miss him, hope he returns when he's done with his business. We like how his house restoration is added into the channel. We love how he teaches skills to younger ones. Love your channel.
