kindly explain tree of house of saud , who was emir saud's father
So sir isn't it possible to alter and change the name of the fathers in the family tree ?? . How can someone believe in the authenticity of a family tree ??
04:05 nicely steered away from the biggest bone of contention between Muslim Shias and Sunnis. Well played sir

Love that you're taking on modern dynasties. Great doing this collab with you!
Malazgirt 1071 yeah... and how is that not interesting? He didn’t say anything about the actual monarchs themselves, just that this is interesting... and besides, the saudis weren’t a British puppet. They rose and fought against British puppets so..
The real Mecca is in Petra Jordan
dynasty's = of the dynasty, possessive - it's not a plural (dynasties) Though you used "you're" correctly, which is better than a lot of native English-speakers.
@@madmonkee6757 Thank you for the correction!
Ma sha Allah
I feel like the British and French played the middle east like chess, they just couldn't leave the region alone could they
I agree but I disagree with the tense of your sentence. They are still playing the Middle East like chess, including Russia, China and the USA.
That's exactly the problem...
They are still playing
@M. Akif khan what are you talking about?
@M. Akif khan no I am not wise enough 😕. I am a simple man and now I am more confused. Why not just explain directly and say those names ?
This was amazingly and wonderfully organized and presented! Thank you!
I so much love seeing when hostorians or history channels collab each other.Cooperation is very important in this field.❤️
Thank
Thank you very much. In Jordan there was also a change in succession by royal decree. King Hussein's brother Crown Prince Hassan was next in line. Just before the King Hussein died and to everyone's surprise, he declared his son - now King - Abduallah II as Crown Prince. This was back in around 1999.
@Malazgirt 1071 Mongol turk.
Whelp, he probably looked at his short, bald, kinda nerdy brother, looked at his not-as-short, coiffed, military man younger son, and said, "I'ma go with the young one. Sorry, bro." Also, Abdullah's mum is English, and Hussein probably considered the Brits would be willing to uphold the future regime more readily, with this connection. By the way, the other Crown Prince (for a time) was Hamzah, whose mother is American. For similar reasons, I assume, Hamzah was given his position so that America would also uphold the future regime.
@Malazgirt 1071 Not the president of Tunisia.
Malazgirt 1071 bro you are right , we Indian muslim betrayed when they awarded Modi ( as he and his right wing hindu organization rss bjpee) responsible for babri mosque demolition and riot /atrocities against muslim
MEHMED TURK brother dont target saudi instead just pray for Allah they will get right path , we kno few misguided from their are responsible , let us unite spread message given to our ummah
Excellent work, both channels and everybody involved. Hikma History, I just subscribed to your channel, Matt your awesome! Keep up your great work
Thank you for the useful video. I just want to bring to your attention that the Saudi dynasty was started by establishing the first Saudi State (Emirate of Diriyah) 1744-1818. Then they start again and established The Emirate of Nejd, which was the second Saudi state 1824-1891. The current Saudi Arabia is the Third Saudi State established by King Abdulaziz Ibn Saud. Thank you.

I have watched many of your videos and enjoy them as I have always been fascinated with history and how everything connects. I am now a huge fan because you looked at a portion of Middle Eastern history. Very few people are usually interested. While there is so much history, more than can be covered by one short video, this is a good start. 😍
Love this channel -From a new History channel
Thanks a lot for your great work. Please the next video is about Assad family. Even though they are not royals, telling about their history and intrigues inside the family between brothers will be very interesting
I have to say this channel is one of the best, if not the best, that I came across in KZhead.
thank you, very informative and easy to follow
Thanks for sharing this.. now I understand where they are from... watching from Riyadh Saudi Arabia

There is no calip in Islam after prophethood... Allah only choose mankind to be imam over their people.. and the last imam is imam Mahdi.....as explained in Qur'an n hadis
I was waiting for this video thanks for making it
Precise, objective, and lucid. Well done. Pretty much well known history, but it was a good refresher. The designation of Prince Talal as Crown Prince, brother of King Hussain of Jordan, and his hugely unexpected and equally unceremonious removal and replacement by Prince Mohammed, son of Hussain was missed.
I’m astonished that you upload so many amazing videos so frequently. I also think that the family tree of racing horses would make for an interesting video (man o war, sea biscuit, swing on, etc.)
This is a great companion to the videos Extra Credits has been making about the borders of the Middle East after WWI. Also, I saw that the Asian Monarchies Charts has the Tibetan Emperors. Future video, please?
Brilliant service to all who be interested for one reason or another. Duly liked & subscribed. Thank you & regards
Absolutely excellent video! Loved it!
Amazing as always! What are you doing next?
This might be hard to do but who would be king of ancient Macedonia today?
I mean, its useful charts, of course he can do it. But let's give him a bit of a break in that one
That's impossible. If your going by the argead dynasty they died out beyond trace. If your going by the antigonids they became private citizens in the roman empire so no one knows their descendents. If your reaching even more and are going by the ptolomies they did have descendents in the Roman client states but their claimed descendents are mostly baselss, and difficult to trace.
We can’t really trace descendants back that far I’m not sure if there’s even a single example of someone knowing their ancestor from 2000+ years ago. In fact it’s so long ago that if someone from back the had descendants alive today there’s a good chance there’s hundreds of millions of them lol
I actually tried tracing a lineage and found that the modern day Bagrationi dynasty have the best possible link to the throne of ancient Macedonia. But the lineage is very tenuous and very likely inaccurate, because of the reasons J N cited. It was a fun genealogical exercise, though!
It could be anyone.
Thank you for Marvelous incredible work....
Very interesting in a clear, concise way, thanks
Yay your first look at Arabian monarchies, I find the governance of the UAE to be very fascinating
Especially Abu dhabi and dubai dynaties and also qasemid dynasty of shareqa which clashed with British in early 1800s
@@user-fj5wn9iq5r interesting, I did not know that, thank you. I find the UAE interesting cuz it's one of only 2 monarchies of its type, the other being Malaysia
@Malazgirt 1071 Puppets put in by British are still interesting just like any other dynasty.
@Malazgirt 1071 it's embarassing to see you post the same comment like ten times

Gosh, you really are one amazing storyteller. The way you narrate is so amazing. Btw, since its a recent video, I would like to suggest a topic (because I didn't know where to do). Please do a DARK (NETFLIX) character genealogy and timeline. If any TV series requires a timeline chart, it is DARK. Thank you in advance for your response.
Matt, you missed an important one! Faisal portrayed by Sir Alec Guinness in "Lawrence of Arabia." But King Abdullah II of Jordan cameoed as unnamed science officer in the cold open of Star Trek: Voyager "Investigations" season 2 episode 20. Apparently the Hashemites will be around for another 400 years. :) A big Star Trek fan, so good for him!
It was actually in my original script and that part of the audio got messed up :)
@@UsefulCharts Bummer, because I was so waiting to hear that. Maybe next time. :D
Yes, he was in that episode, although he had no lines because he wasn't a member of the screen Actors Guild.
@Mershikov he wasnt king at the time , just a prince
Who told that they'll be around for more 400 years?
So very well explained. Really excellent.
Fascinating! Thank you
Amman's international airport was renamed after Queen Alia, shortly after her sudden death.
Royal Jordanian Airlines was originally called Alia after the Queen.
@@ballantynemoyes8019 Actually it was called Aaliyah عاليه (meaning a female of a high statusa) after the king's first born daughter from his first marriage it's similar when spelled in English but the Queen's name was Alia علياء (meaning sublime) it's probably why they changed the airline name to The Royal Jordanian
@@amman9242 Many thanks for your reply. I learn something new everyday. Best wishes. :-)
"renamed" is not exactly right. It was named after the late queen from day one. The queen died in 1977 while the airport was built in 1983.

Saudi family is originally jewish named mardakhay but they chnaged the name... search for Al Saud history by Naser Saeed, a saudi journalist forced to leave saudia to lebanon and after he published this book he was assassinated..
Saïd Saïd - This is totally not true, it’s a lie was made by Nasser Saeed which he is from Shammar, the family was ruling Najd before al-saud. His family got lost in a war and he decided to spread lies about them as revenge. However, if you a truly an arab you would know that it’s impossible to fake your family name or your grandfathers’ names. It’s the Arabs dessert where every family history is remembered and written.
Saïd Saïd Its not true because Jews dislike Children of Ishmael.

Yayy, something about the hashmeit family finally, although I think you really shortened it to the modern members only, buy it's understandable since those were the only official royals, good video nevertheless, keep up the good work
Malazgirt 1071 we live happily so u should shut up
Great video! Love the Hashimites - such an interesting family. And for those who know who he is, doesn't old King Faisal of Iraq look a lot like the current Crown Prince, Hussein? There's a real strong resemblance there!
They meet in the fifth grandfather, Al-Hussein Ibn Ali, King of Hijaz. King Faisal is Faisal Ibn Ghazi Ibn Faisal l Ibn Al-Hussein ibn ali , King of Hijaz, and the current Jordanian Crown Prince is Hussein bin Abdullah II Ibn Talal Ibn Talal Ibn Al-Hussein Ibn Abdullah I Ibn Al-Hussein Ibn Ali, King of Hijaz .. They are fifth cousins, and on the other hand, the mothers of both parties are from the same family of cousins
Thank you for this video
My infinite amount of thankness to your great presentation imparting immense amt of knowledge on the very important history of the Arab region's. Just expressing "Thanks" would be a worthless statement for this level of crystal clear graphic informations passed over to public. Bravo. All the best. Now am ur another subscriber from today...
This would be even more interesting if you covered the Saudi family tree starting from the 1st Saudi state which was founded by Muhammad bin Saud, then the 2nd Saudi state founded by Turki bin Abdullah.
Could you do a video on the ruling dynasties of Morocco?
I would watch that 👍
@Malazgirt 1071 After the Arab spring Morocco became a constitutional monarchy. We make elections every 4 or 5 years. And the current dynasty is ruling since 1661 which means they predate Italy (there was no italy backthen) or any french/british influence in north africa. No one put them they basically fought for it and united the country... They even defeated the portuguese and spaniards to reconquer almost every costal city in Morocco
It is also Hashmite though

For clarification, the council, called the bay’ah’s role is to confirm the choice of crown price that the king decrees, following the announcement, and not to have the power to vote on who becomes the king. The choice of crown prince falls within the discretion of the king.

@@abdallah..yasser My reply was meant to be a rebuttal to Malazgirt 1071. Yes, you are quite right they lost their independence. Nasser however overthrew the royal family and actually was somewhat independent, even flirting with the Soviets. There's also his successor Sadat. There's this illogical notion in the Muslim consciousness, that the West has somehow hijacked Qadr. That we are powerless and without agency. This isn't the case. Can you do “who would be emperor of mexico today”
He did it already on his Aztec video.
Jason Bailey no he talked also about other ones. Just go watch it.
Short answer: Count Maximilian von Götzen-Iturbide, a hungarian-born man currently living in australia. The heir apparent is his elder son Count Ferdinand. Long answer: - The first emperor of mexico was elected "constitutional emperor" after having run the country for almost a year after the war of independence from spain. He was a general in the war and acted as regent before officially being crowned emperor. - The first empire fell during his time, so there was no other emperor. His son, however, served in a republican capacity and was ambassador to both the US and the UK for the united states of mexico. - The second empire after intervention from european powers was led by Maximiliano I, son of Archduke Franz Karl of austria. Augustín II (the above mentioned son of Augustín I, the only emperor of the first empire) officially surrendered his claim to Maximiliano I, so he became the "legitimate" emperor. - The second empire then also falls rather quickly and he is decapitated without having fathered any heirs. - The current claim to the throne therefor comes from a grandson of Augustín I (the son of Augustín II's younger brother Ángel), called ... Augustín III. Creative, I know :) He was also an adopted son of Maximiliano I to further consolidate the claim on both the first and second empire. - Augustín III had no children, so the pretender title goes to his niece Maria I (his younger brother Salvador was already dead and had no sons) and then to her grandson Maximiliano II, skipping her daughters for reasons unkown to me. - Maximiliano II goes by the name "Count Maximilian Gustav Albrecht Richard Augustin von Götzen-Iturbide", because on top of the mexican lineage from his grandmother, he's also the male line heir to the Count von Götzen title.
