Just spent 3 days on Fraser in a standard 98 diesel hilux and a twenty dollar tent from K mart with one of my mates. Best laugh ever, what a spot!!
WTFF guys, the 4x4 gods must love you!! Who else has a rugby team on standby for being stuck in the sand!!
A couple episodes in and i have an Australian accent
they are pretty extreme aussie accents though
Good on ya Mate:)
Crikey
Seaspeeder 228 lol I accidentally pressed tunes down 😂 I ment o was Press thumbs up xd
You think you do
This makes me so glad that I did Fraser in the 70s, no people and no worries!
MIke Gallagher that was probably awesome back then
yep fishing Indian rock with Dad all by ourselves when I returned from Vietnam, we had Frazer virtually for free only cost was the ferry
Last time I was on Fraser Island .... oh man, 24 years ago. Great memories.... Thanks for sharing this episode on yt!
Love watching you guys
"Wan't us to come back down and get you?" "Mate, if you could" Such class. As if they had a choice in the matter.
I know Im asking the wrong place but does anybody know of a trick to get back into an Instagram account?? I stupidly forgot the account password. I love any help you can give me!
@Simon Hank Instablaster ;)
@Raphael Ali i really appreciate your reply. I got to the site thru google and Im trying it out now. Takes a while so I will get back to you later with my results.
@Raphael Ali it worked and I actually got access to my account again. I'm so happy:D Thank you so much, you saved my account :D
@Simon Hank Glad I could help :D
Jeepers I'm sure glad I went 4x4ing 25 years ago, wouldn't waste my time now. Thanks for showing it.
Whys that?
It's not that we can't decide rather that both Shauno's & Graham's tour were incredible! We want to see the Lighthouse & the beaches, etc & we want to see inland all the way over to the Western side. So we're picking 2 weeks on the island with 7 days spent each doing both tours! It would be a dream come true for a Canuck couple from Calgary AB. As always, another amazing adventure & absolutely stunning scenery...wicked job done guys, better than TV any day of the week!
I wanna see the preparation for this kind of trips (vehicle, camp, food, recording)
Easy, book the necessary park camping and beach driving permits, take over at least a third on top of what fuel you'll need, and water and then it's just a case of taking vehicle spares and food. Of course it would be prudent to notify immediate family maybe search and rescue of your intended stops and how long you intend on being and when to send rescue if you're not back by a certain time. Last thing is a satellite phone and gps tracking, other than that it's just like going out for a picnic only its a whole world better.
Gear video's. I quite like em' too
Yes you need Permits to camp you need a permit to get onto Fraser but you dont need a beach driving permit Dont need a gps Tracker or Sat Phone just scream someone will hear you thats how busy the place is. Fuel can be bought on the island. And search and Rescue ? WTF are you talking about there. Maybe stop smoking that weed. Burt yes call your mum an tell her your having a great time thou you wont remember it cause your to stoned
hi im malaysian i want to know it too ..
Three litres of water per day, per person, per man, per degree over 25 degrees celcius, per kilometre if walking on foot, in the winter months dividing it by two, plus... another litre... at the end.
I was on Fraser last week with my family and friends, and after working on the island for over seven years it still has such a almost magnetic force drawing us back. I was lucky enough to meet my wife on the island whilst working there. It’s a location that’s always high on the list of holiday destinations for us. The beach is cool but for me it’s the solitude of the west coast that a winner. Planning for the next trip has already started.
Great video. The guy from Skamper Campers is pretty prepared with four spare tyres (2 car, two camper) for just a Frazer trip but good on him
I stumbled across your channel for a couple of days ago and I LOVE IT! The fact that I've actually been to fraser island (2013) as a swede abroad makes this youtube trip even a greater experience. To finish off with lake wobby is so wonderful. Keep doing with ya doing best boys... It's great!
I love how happy most Australians seem having a whayle of a time.
because of the time difference from Australia to Newfoundland your videos are ready every friday morning for me. i really look forward to it now thanks guys!! my fav line so far "graham only looks at the comics any ways"
i love these adventures you guys go on in Australia, i'd love to do stuff like that.
You guys have some awesome places!! I wish I could visit them one day.... Keep the good work!, greetings from Costa Rica.
Last time I went fishing I capsized the kayak right after dropping the bait off the back past the breakers. Never thought I was afraid of sharks till I was surrounded by bloody bait and was trying to drag a flooded kayak back to the beach.
Heaps funny
Definitely taking a trailer weather I need it or not. The trailer adds so much more to the drive. I have always wanted to drag one up the local beach just for fun and to load jerks leftover rubbish. Now my taking one to Fraser to enhance the drive. Thanks.
Great video! Brings back memories of when I went in 2007. Beautiful place
fraser island was the best day of my life when i came to Oz. being a 4x4 owner in the UK it simply was the greatest day of my life and although i couldnt do it in a land rover it was still amazing
Luv your videos guys, tnx for sharing with the world. Grtz from the other side, flat spot called the Netherlands. Jealous on the space down there to have such adventures. Keep on posting. Grtz, John.
I reckon I'd have to go to both... both are great experiences and why miss one when you CAN have both! Really enjoyed this vid.. well they're all great! Wish I were able to travel to Australia to see all the wonderful places I've seen on your vids. MY FAVORITE KZhead CHANNEL! Keep at it guys! You inspire me weekly to get out there and enjoy the great outdoors in my 4x4!
Great video; I can't bloody wait to go back! So many things I missed on my first trip hey
Shauno’s face when graham got a mouth full of saltwater... 😂😂😂 37:00
Love the quality content that you guys produce! :)
Love seeing the fishing segments in these older videos
What an episode! As far as I can see, no body is or isn't the winner. Only so many people get to do/experience that kind of trip. From the start, everyone was the winner, us viewers, and u guys. I thoroughly enjoyed every second. Greetings from Maryland. I watch every single episode on my lunch break and dream a little. Thanks guys, subscribed for life. BTW, lifted WG on 33's. Cheers.
Coral trout is my favorite fish nicely done :-)

These guys and the places that are available to the folks in Australia, just great. Another great video. Cheers from the states. Great pointer with camera.
I did Fraser december/January and it is my best 4wd trip so far. That place is amazing.
"OH YEAH YOU'LL BE HERE TILL 3AM WITH THIS HAHAHA" LMAO love your work Graham
Bloody awesome!
Awesome video guys cheers for sharing 👍👍👍👍🇦🇺
Been to Fraser Island once in my life, I'm glad I did not run into troubles like you did! Being rescued by a rugby team... just fantastic!!!!!
Y'know, I'm from the US and I love exploring the terrain and landscapes here. But Australia seems like such an awesome place for overlanding.
modification laws are fucking annoying tho
Use crushed up Salt and vinegar chips to crumb the fish. It tastes delicious and is nice and crunchy!
isaacf485 that's a good idea thanks for the tip👌
The tomato sauce flavour chips are good too. Been doing it that way for years! And almost any flavour when crumbing chicken legs.
I have been going to Fraser for 45 years and have never gotten sick of it, it is truly one of the best places to go 4X4 in Australia. going to Sandy cape or going to the West coast both are equally as great as the other. Mike Brisbane QLD
Thanks boys Friday night all sorted best show on you tube keep them coming
No better way to finish a Friday arvo

Grew up with a well know family, who own a house at happy valley, they've had it for over 50 years, and would take truck loads of us up back in the day all the time...simply gorgeous! !!
Ahh memories. Was 2004 when I was on Fraser. One of the best trips I have ever been on.
I remember camping at Inskip point and on the way there my mum was on Facebook at the time and a massive sink hole swallowed a patrol and a camper van

NippyMoto True true true
NippyMoto k
always, a great watch lads. wish i was there
Looking at this video and there is are some wonderful spots on both the trips and one cannot choose between the other as they are both spectacular - but in my books, I would rather go Shauno's route as you won't have the crowds. Hopefully one day I would be fortunate to travel and see this wonderful area that you have on your back door. Cheers guys for your regular updates.
These vids are suspicious how good they are ☺
I would absolutely LOVE to see you guys hit the US Pacific Northwest... Going through the powerlines, through the national forest. I'm sure that it isn't the roughest you've touched, but it would be a good run to watch! Maybe a budget run, set a number for the area and have a go at it? Love the show!
back at fraser good on ya
Best drive I swear I love it! ❤️👌🏼
I've been having pie sandwiches for over 30 years since I was a kid lol 🤤🥧🥪I really like that 200 series landcruiser but the ramp over clearance must be atrocious
Yep, dad introduced us to the 'tradition' when I was a wee tacker in the late 70's. People think I'm mad when I acually do it though. :)
Lol the rugby team makes it look easy XD
love 4wd action, saw this on vid with the mag, had to watch it again
Been their twice. I want my own Dual Cab Ute just so I can go back. It is probably the most unique place on the earth. So much packed into one unique Island. If you are from overseas. You have not Experienced Australia until you have been to Fraser.
clicked like before watching the video
Ariel n 😅 me to

Where's Shorty? I'm an FJ Cruiser man myself. But Shorty is some kind of machine. Unfortunately here in the USA they don't allow the cool diesels that y'all get 😕
Because they don't want you to have good mileage. That would defeat the whole point of going to war in Iraq.
I like where you've gone with this
Many people disregard it, but the auto market is a huge chunk of money in US at least. Back in the day, people bought foreign cars and the US dealers did not want to compete, so they payed our congress to change the laws to only allow certain imports. Add foreign chicken tax and better of all, not remove it after it is obsolete, and you have tax on foreign pickups. Now, EPA has teamed up not allow diesels. See the drift here? No toyota bulletproof trucks, just american or mexican made crossover garbage that will drop dead in 3 years. its all a scheme. there is no way this is a coincidence.
yeahp, as an Australian i have spent the last 4 months in America and all i wonder while im here is "where are the diesels?!". everything here is petrol powered, even the UPS delivery vans and school busses. its crazy!
when the petrol is that cheap why would people want small diesels? theres always the big cummins, powerstrokes or duramax's that i wish we had here, duramax swaps on nissan patrols are becoming semi popular but the cost is huge, 20k just for the engine and trans then the cost of fitting
Did this nearly 20yrs ago. Great fun and a beautifull place :). Not as busy back then!
Hi guys, excellent trip and great video work. Thanks for this!! I’m gonna vote for Shaun just for the fun of it :) My mouth was watering for that crispy fish and chips!
how'd you release the fishing line from the drone?'
Clip release
Hey Lads I really enjoyed that one! All the best Davie U.K
sometimes watching these 4x4 videos these cook ups are awesome!
The open air seating above/behind the cooking area that camper trailer appears to have, is pretty epic.
Hi guy's I'd like to take my elderly father(fishing addict) Tailor fishing and camping in QLD next winter, of all the islands that are good for tailor which is less crowded during the winter months?
im not too sure, but i wish you and your father luck and i hope he catches some good ones :)
3700 views in an hour chorrrr!! Keep it up. You guys r the only reason i shifted to Australia and got a 4by
wonderful trip i have ever seen. Nice talk it is so clear and it easy and simple info about this place
Great one, boys. Luv the vid.
Always blow on the pie Safer community’s together
28:54 "dunno bout you blokes but fraser's famous for its inland lakes" can't say I'm too famous for my inland lakes mate
Always a good watch cheers boys
Love the videos. I live in the northern US and every winter salt is poured all over the roads to melt the ice, salt no big deal, just wash it off. Your trucks, do as you please, but a little salt would not stop me from a trail I wanted to drive. Besides, the sand on the ocean is filled with salt. Thanks for taking me on the adventures with you.
Those 79 sound so nice I'm buying a 79 when I older
The rugby team is classic! And almost unbelievable! 🤣
Gday guys, awesome video, Fraser is one of my fav destinations, we go over in our boat from Hervey Bay, most weekends.....but word of warning be mindful that March flies are out and about from November to March, when we went last march they were so big and the bite is painful and itchy, there were literally swarms of them, every time we opened the car door, a swarm would hitch a ride.....but saying that, on the west side its just the most beautiful part of Fraser, we head to wathumba, great for snorkelling and the water is sooooo clear....sorry rambling bit, but just love Fraser......
All videos are the best In this series 🤠😇👍👌 Am planning to buy a 4x4 for sure
A rugby team is always useful! 15.00
BAHAHA.. you boys are driving 4 ton rocks -- ive personally seen subaru foresters fly over the softest sand like magic
MADBONE their diesels and they have a lot of gear plus the cars themselves are made of steel not aluminium.
Hahahaha a forrester
@@lachlanreese3628 One of those was mine, a few years back. We went all the way up to Orchid Beach, all the inland tracks round the back of Happy Valley, Lake Mackenzie, down past Boomanjin, all over the shop. Had a small lift with some taller springs and a skidplate under the sump (standard was plastic and would rip straight off once you hit the sand), auto MY03 Forester with some half decent tyres, no turbo. He's right, the things weigh all of 1500kg and just float across the sand. We saw a lot of very surprised faces on those trips :)
I used to drive my Daihatsu Charade over soft sand and it just cruised over the top surface like it was nothing. Weight is everything.
@@morosis82 This is why I love my Grand Vitara. Its the 2 door model and it just floats over the soft stuff. Great fun to drive.
Yet another great video keep it up guys
Well I’ve watched two of your Fraser Island videos now and its on my bucket list for sure. I’m way up in Canada but I’ll make my way down some day.
No beach fires anymore and too expensive to camp and have to book online even when your on the island, also the ranger telling my 8 year old son off for gathering a handfull of small thin twigs for 1 of the only fire rings at waddy point.Another great place wrecked through bureaucracy, rules and power trippers
Its kind of the shit end of things getting popular
You're only seeing it from your perspective. Now think of thousands of fires, with people breaking up trees for firewood. Everyone says we are only having a small fire, for that reason the line has to be drawn somewhere...
Not being allowed to have camp fires in most national parks because it “destroys the home’s of animals” Bush fire rips through and because ground cover is not cleared it destroys animals and their homes, Kinda ironic
I forgot it was friday
Good on that old fella he truly took it slow and steady its good he still gets out there
Definitely on my list, thanks for sharing
