I think I'm the only person who starts with the twins. As a person who quickly identifies patterns in bosses, the twins make the most sense, as there are only 2 targets, while the destroyer releases an overwhelming number of probes, making it difficult to dodge several lasers at once while not getting enclosed by the body of the destroyer. I always wait until I have hallowed armor before battling the destroyer
That's definitely a fair point - and if Twins first works for you, roll with it!
Same, I always kill the twins first because they are the easiest. Then Prime, because he is easy to deal with as long as you don't get too far away or too close. And then the destroyer...

in my first playthrough, i managed to take down the twins before any other mech with a MINISHARK. WITH SILVER BULLETS. to be fair tho it was in classic mode but still. if only i knew about megashark's crafting recipie...

I actually find Skeletron Prime the easiest of the three, even on Master Mode. Using Asphalt is the ultimate cheese against him. About to start my first for the worthy world and keen to see how it goes. Your series is definitely the most useful and insightful, not many KZheadrs out there are as thorough as you-Well Done, keep it up!!!

@@salendrakdid you start making the video? I was watching your videos to help me beat these bosses in my first run in classic mode. It helped me a TON and I was stuck on skeletron prime. Then I decided to try destroyer first instead of skeletron. After I did that, I went straight to beating the twins and then then I beat them first try somehow then I went to beating Pantera. Which was extremely tough it took me about 4 tries. Then golem was 3, lunatic was 2, and then I was at moon lord. I didn’t even get close. Then on the 8th try (no joke) my friend told me about the daybreak. He told me to use solar eruption at the start then use daybreak when the core is exposed. It worked. FIRST TRY! I highly recommend you use that in your moon lord video. I’m now in an expert mode world close to beating eye of Cthulhu. Im exited for skeletron prime and twins guide! Hope you have that strategy again because it is insane. Have fun!
It might be worth noting that “in a corruption world” and “in a crimson world” largely only mean a difference in effort now in Hardmode. In a Graveyard while in Hardmode, the Dryad will sell seeds for the opposite world evil, enabling one to turn one’s cavern-level mob farm into whichever biome is desired, at the cost of some time and/or effort since the opposite evil solution for the Clentaminator isn’t available. If that is done, the only limitation is that Keys of Night will only ever spawn the evil mimic of your world’s native evil, so mimics of the opposite evil have to spawn naturally in their corresponding biome. (After Plantera, there is also the limitation that the dungeon only spawns the native evil’s biome chest, so you can’t obtain both the Scourge of the Corruptor and the Vampire Knives.) I get that it’s too much effort for a lot of people, but I’m the type to play slowly and farm every item I might want, so I like to make full use of this. As a hint for anyone wanting to go for it: Biome mimics specifically only spawn in their biome, regardless of blocks, but most “common” biome-specific enemies don’t require their biome but only spawn on appropriate blocks. So, for example, Crimson Mimics can be farmed without interference from Ichor Stickers by placing enough crimson blocks but covering the top of them with uncorruptible blocks so that there are no spawn positions for Ichor Stickers, Floaty Grosses, or Crimson Axes - regular Cavern enemies will spawn instead. On the other hand, one can farm Ichor by placing crimson blocks in spawn locations, but not enough to form the actual biome, and then sitting in a box above the ground with player-placed walls while letting sentries and/or minions fight the mobs - without a crimson biome, crimson mimics won’t spawn, and with the walls behind you, Crimson Axes won’t spawn, so you’re safe as long as you’re like ten blocks up so Floaty Grosses can’t reach your box. The same tactic works for Corruption and Hallow, though note that player-placed walls behind you will also prevent the spawn of Chaos Elementals if you’re looking to farm for the Rod of Discord.
Very true! I can't remember if I've ever bothered to make an alternate biome in any of my worlds. I usually just take whatever the world gives me!
For summoners, the blade staff works really well in an elevated platform because the blade staff ignores immunity frames and it is OP against the destroyer, a lot of probes will spawn and you have to take care of em safely

I’m currently coming back to terraria after like a 4-5 month break, I’m currently full titanium, and I fought him with some random potions I found and it got him to like 1/4 health but he was still really annoying so this video is really helpful hopefully I can beat him today!

Update I died 2 more times to me summoning him but I got closer each time down to 5000 ish as my best attempt, and he random spawned once right after a pirate invasion and he destroyed cuz I had no potions of healing and 30hp lol.

Thank you for making your guide videos! It's been rather hard to find high-quality and informative videos, so your channel was a good find. I'm new to Terraria, and while I've mostly been going in blind, I learned quite a few things I completely missed while watching your series.
I honestly learn new things with every guide I make, and have lost count how many times I played fully through the game. For what initially seems like a simple game, it's surprisingly complex and deep!

If you have the corruption, the dart rifle with cursed darts are MILES better than the Daedalus storm bow, it shreds the destroyer in all difficulty levels and if u have the frost armour even better! Both frostburn and cursed flame debuffs will melt the destroyer
The tricky thing though is that in order to get the fire on the boss, you have to be low enough that they won't just land on a platform above where the boss is, and hence have to keep yourself lower down to where the boss can get you. For people that are newer to the game staying up higher is generally safer, but if you've good at dodging, go for it!

Higher defense really helps you to ignore the lasers. And make sure you've got some honey baths strategically placed so you can dip into them ever now and then!

hey salendrak, it's been a month and I'm still at Lunatic Cultist, been trying to beat him with shroomite armor with my unreal megashark with chlorophyte bullet, it's probably because I'm bad at dodging xD, what other weapons should i use? i could probably grind for them
Xenopopper from the Martian Saucer is pretty good at that stage of the game if you want to stay ranger.

Sure - just mine up some pearlstone block from your hallow area (or pink ice, or hallow sand) and then place a block here and there in the desert, and it will start to spread. Sand seems to get converted really fast compared to stone, and in no time the area will be hallow!

But then today I got on to do the same except go to sleep at a reasonable time. So I looked for guide and found this one and I do hope it helps. Hey Salen, my Hardmode V was an interesting one. The crimson landed in my snow biome, and the Hallow hit the jungle. Is there anything I should do to the jungle specifically to prevent hallow spread?
Not really - it typically doesn't spread very much in the jungle.

For the cheese method basically box yourself in a barrier of stone with good regen and shoot the Daedalus Stormbow cause it shoots from the sky and use nimbus rod and clinger staff for the probes
So box yourself in stone to block all the laser fire? Sounds like a fair strategy to me! Just keep your box high enough that that boss is unlikely to hit you and it should work just fine!

What I like to do for this boss is 1.make a house for the nurse at the beach 2.get a magic conch since this boss never despawn if you get too far way you can teleport the beach heal with the nurse and get back the the fight with full health

Will jester arrows also work with the stormbow bc I got two of them from two mimics
Yes they will work, but I don't think they'll be particularly useful. Since the arrows fall down from the sky somewhat chaotically, you won't be able to get the piercing effect the same way you can when you line up a good shot shooting directly from your bow. That said, I don't think I've ever tried Jester's Arrows with the Stormbow - so give it a try and see how it works!
Salendrak I think you forgot that the destroyer is immune to all debuffs, so the golden shower doesn't do much
Regardless of debuffs, Golden Shower has good piercing, and you can shoot it up, hit probes, and then it falls down and hits the boss. So overall effective!

So let me give you some tips and point some things out if you combine the shield and the goat skull you can go fast by dashing then ride the goat skull. And for the destroyer fight you can use the shield and skull combo and use a feather falling potion and hold up to fly across the destroyer. And you can use the slime mount or the queen slime mount to jump with the destroyer I used that for my first time fight it. And one thing you should have mentioned was piercing weapons work well. Weapons I would use Melee shadow flame knife Range storm bow or flamethrower if you killed skeletron prime or a bow or repeater with some good arrows Mage magical harp if you beat the twins witch I beat first they are my favorite boss in Terraria or Sky Fracture or if you want to do the old ones army the time of infinite wisdom is the weapon for you Summoner cool whip or firecracker will work the twins summons or spiders work for this fight. Tips for the fight never get trapped so you have to take damage and the build up does work but it is not as fun as getting in there and the golden shower does not give the debuff for the probes or destroyer himself. And the reason I know this stuff is I am good at the game and by the time you made this video I have beated the game more then once now. And I hope the next video will cover the twins and if you want more of a challenge then fight both in phase 2 at the same time and thx for the video :).
For some reason I've never really cared for using mounts all that much in this game. Maybe that's just me!

On classic difficulty it might work, but not sure about higher difficulties. That said, I haven't tried it I don't think, as it's pretty iffy on if or when you might get it from the Travelling Merchant.
How the hell do i deal with wyverns interrupting the fight I got killed by one mid fight
Sounds like you're fighting too high up in the sky. Fight lower and they won't spawn. What's your world size though? It can be a bit harder to avoid on medium worlds, and much harder to avoid on small worlds.
For me i personally kill the twins first. Especially on my summoner runs if i don't get lucky with an early pirate invasion, the twins staff makes the other mechs a bit less of a pain.
The Optic Staff is definitely a nice upgrade in the minion department!

hey, its me, daniel YET AGAIN. now on my unbanned main account! here to update my progress. my expert mode playthrough is going... let's just say it's a mixed bag of a playthrough. obsidian armor absolutely shredded pre-hardmode (including wall of flesh, honestly idk why people struggle with expert WoF as summoners), and the wall blessed me with a legendary fireckracker. i'm not making this up, i got the best drop i could have gotten first try. meanwhile hardmode has been whopping my ASS. you see, i decided to choose the corruption as my evil this time, and i didn't knew the hollow would spawn on the right side and the corruption on the left. and so, my original corruption was slapped by the hollow, whic i dont like why cant the hollow land in a normal place for once like I AM TIRED OF GETTING HOLLOWED JUNGLES AND CORRUPTIONS BRO GVE ME A GOOD WORLD GEN FOR ONCE MAN AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAUGH! and to make things worse, my jungle has been taken over by the corruption, so my jungle pylon is not working anymore. i will now rewatch this video to hopefully take down the destryoyer who spawned naturally yesterday and finally did what he is made for and destroyed. you know what? imma take a break from expert mode and instead start gathering some max level items like Rod of Discord, the Ankh Shield, the Cellphone, Terraspark Boots, and whatever else is there for me to take and craft.
Yeah, I've had the Hallow directly hit my original corruption area before, and it's just weird! Keep at it though - the RNG of worldgen stuff is part of what makes this game so interesting and replayable!

I prefer to take down prime first I think he's just easier than the rest cause all you really have to worry about is the laser and occasionally getting clipped by an arm the moment you take out one of the projectile arms he becomes a joke
Yeah, Prime is also a good option for first mech. The start of the fight can be pretty hectic, but once the arms start to fall off it becomes quite easy!
Prime's Lazer is easy to dodge for me

It's good for targeting specific mobs in general purpose situations, but I've never cared for it for bossfights. Have you tried it against the destroyer? If so, how did it go?
I didnt but i once tried to defeat it but the boss schredded us i thougt it was as easy as the pre-hardmode bosses like when i defeated dearclops i just schredded him and didnt die but the destroyer is much harder so i died (i was on classic dif)

Holy arrows got nerfed a lot, they arent as good as they used to be. I recommend using the dart rifle along with the cursed darts
Still works great though! I've never been a fan of the dart rifle / gun through for the Destroyer, but if you like it, go with it!

Kill a bunch of angry trappers get the uzi use meteor shot and build an arena with campfires and sun flowers then get adamantite armour or titanium armour then wait for destroyer to spawn then fight it and you might win it’s how I did it and put lava at bottom
I'm pretty sure I can count on one hand the number of times I've actually gotten the Uzi lol
I like to do skeletetron prime first but usually end up with the destroyer
Yeah, Prime isn't too bad, but I find that the Twins tend to be the most hectic of the three, and usually gets done last.

I find prime to be super hard when you first summon him but then he gets easy so on classic and expert I just aim for the head but on master I kill the arms first so I just have to not get instakilled by the headspin
I prefer to take down Twins first, Skeletron Prime after The Twins, And last but not least The Destroyer.
I'm pretty sure I've done that order before, but that was probably because that's the order they attacked me on their own LOL
