  • I know he’s a snake breeder but if I was a snake chilling with my eggs and had someone rip the paper on top of me I wouldn’t be to happy either I mean I know their not humans but is this really the best way I mean can’t this be done in a wider more controlled environment if you have a snake that big I would assume you would have the required space

    • There isn't really an optimal way to remove a python from their eggs that would likely meet your standards for how safe it should be. They will literally stay coiled around them and refuse to eat while they are. If you are breeding pythons whether big or small, you kind of just, have to be careful, use hooks, and do it patiently. There aren't really any ways of controlling things more - the snake is going to protect its eggs as long as eggs are present and understanding the snake's body language, strike range and taking your time are your best protections. Literally knowledge is your best protection. There is nothing you can use to guarantee scare or lure it away. Anything that might upset a snake into moving like water or cold temps would risk the eggs or may cause tigher coiling. More control sounds great but what are you actually picturing for that? Are these things actually going to be less stressful for the snake or just make you less afraid for the human? Are these actually practical things that work in decreasing danger or time taken? Because while yes, removing the eggs does tend to mean dealing with an upset snake temporarily, the snake doesn't care 5 minutes later. Eggs are gone, instinct deactivates, where is foods. And it doesn't take THAT long to do.
