"Why not be needlessly joyful" is an excellent life motto
This perfectly explains the character of Mr. PeanutButter from Bojack Horseman, always was too positive, but I agree, we NEED those people.
Hands down my favorite clip from them to date (I’m catching up)
Update?
@@Khantuyev I’m on episode 474 and this is still my favorite but there are funnier clips.
"hey, I enjoy your energy, but it can be a bit overwhelming for me. Can you please tone it down a bit?" There. I did it.
No, you'd Absolutely still look like a dickhead if you said this and that person would be 100% justified in just bailing on you if you did this. If your energy is too negative to have happy friends, go to therapy, stop being friends with them, whatever, but do NOT convince yourself or that person that their happiness is the problem. It isn't. It's you. And I absolutely assure you that if you tell someone this, in so many cases this will be the thing that makes them shut that happiness down. It is NOT the problem.
