  • I married my best friend from High school when we were both 19yrs old. He turns 61 in a few days, we've been married 41 yrs. He was my best friend first and he still is. I believe that is one secret to a successful marriage, you have to like each other first and you must talk to each other. There will be times you won't like each other very much but that's temporary. I grabbed my love very young but we've shared a lifetime together. If you find it, grab on with both hands and don't let go. There's nothing like true love!

    • @@jadepaulsen8456 - a child made at 16 was not likely a child made in love. It was the result of a sexual experience caused by the natural desires of both females and males. I am thankful this young girl grew into a happily married women but that is not generally the case. For every girl who has a baby at 16 and has a lasting and loving marriage, I'll give you many more who don't. More importantly, for every child born into such a situation I'll give you thousands of children who live an unfortunate life. Love at any age doesn't ensure a happy marriage. Love and commitment with a desire to stay married in spite of whatever hardships you might experience is what counts. I've loved three females in my life and still do love all three but in a different way. I've loved my wife since we met and the 52 years we were married. I still do even now - RIP. I've also seen what can happen when a young girl has a baby out of wedlock. It is a personal choice. If you need help with the choice get it.

  • What a beautiful story. I'm thankful that my wife and my soulmate will celebrate 33 years this May! She had a car back on top of her and this caused a traumatic brain injury 22 years ago and I nearly lost her after her being in a coma for 22 days back then. My in laws kept pushing me to 'sign her death warrant' and set her free so that her 'parts' could live on in the lives of six other people who could use her various organs. This caused a major rift between myself and her family - and she did come back to me, albeit 'changed.' As the years have gone by, I retired to be her full time (24/7/365) caregiver and have never regretted it or wished I had chose different. Her family are still unchanged and we both won't let them come anywhere near us - not just because they were so willing to let her go then - but what I haven't said to this point is that it was her sister who caused this preventable accident from when she handed her whiney 11 yr. old daughter the keys to her car to start so she could have the heater on! The car popped off in reverse while my wife stood behind the car - and the rest is history. Today, we live in the country in a very special place where I tend to our gardens and her flowers and she loves feeding her birds and we are so much looking forward to Spring! I'm the most blessed man alive, I feel! Sorry for the long read. I wanted to write something to respond to this story - I just didn't realize this would all come out! Love the one you're with and never waiver! Be thankful for all your blessings because it literally can all change in a *snap!* God Bless!

  • I met my husband, Kevin, in 1974. I was 11 years old. He was 3 years older. He was a friend of my brother's. Coincidentally, we owned a stable and had several horses. This was in Illinois. He came out there a lot to goof off with my brother and help with chores. I said from day one I was going to marry him. Our lives went different ways as he joined the military, and my family moved to Arizona. We kept in touch now and then over the years. My family went to visit relatives in Illinois almost 9 years ago for the 4th of July and Kevin was living there again. So, we met up with him for breakfast, and I went and stayed the night with Kevin (finally!) Well, three marriages each and 40 years later we were married September 2014. It was definitely worth the wait. We're happy and in love. We've never had a fight; we have too many good times to catch up on. Dreams do come true but it happens in God's time.

We’ve went through a lot together at this point, births deaths, raising children an watching our family grow. We went trough a rough patch here and there when we were a lot younger, but we stayed the course and there for each other and love each other. It’s well worth it….

  • This was such a beautiful story!! I met my husband when we both worked at the same company!! I was a single mother with three boys and he tried for three years to get me to go out with him!! At that time, I felt that a woman with children would be too much for him to take on!! But I fought it all the way all the while, we became friends in those three years!! But almost losing him to another woman made me realize I had fallen in love with him and couldn't bear losing him!! We got married on Valentine's Day and just celebrated our 23rd anniversary!! Sometimes against all odds, love does prevail!!❤️🙏🏼🙏🏼

    @AroldHoutterseat@AroldHoutterseat Жыл бұрын
    • You can't compare the two. While some people are very mature at the age of 13, your emotional maturity cannot be compared from 13 to 30. To know what actual true, deep & REAL love is requires life experiences, responsibilities, selflessness & dedication to one another... which you cannot possibly have at 13, because you're not even responsible for YOURSELF at that age. I know at 13, I absolutely thought that I was head over heels & truly in love, but as I got older I realized that I had no idea what love was at that age. It felt real, but it was nothing more than puppy love. When you're in your 30's, you will experience a MUCH deeper sense of love than at 13, because at 13, you're usually still living at home with your parents, you don't have many real world responsibilities & your relationships usually stay on a surface level, rather than going very deep. Love may be more "pure" at 13, and that's only because WE'RE more pure at 13. At 13, we still have such an innocence about ourselves -- we're not jaded, or bitter or resentful or cynical from bad experiences or toxic relationships (romantic AND platonic). However, 13 year old love is absolutely CANNOT be more "true" than in your 30's, because you don't know even know what real, true love is yet, and it's impossible to know what true love is at that age, because it develops over time, and through shared life experiences. It may feel more "true" to a 13 year old, but nothing is more TRUE than dedicating your entire life to someone else and making a promise to stick together through the good times & bad, no matter what. There isn't a 13 year old on this earth that should be thinking that way, at that age... EVER. The ONLY things a 13 year old should be focusing on, are having fun with their friends & graduating from middle school.

He's married with kids now, but that was a trip. I'm glad this character got over himself and realized who he needed to marry. What blows me away is how many people marry but never have discussed the critical things that make a marriage work, especially children! Society needs to get back to pre-marital counseling. I don't know how we got off of that path, but we need to get back on it, quick!

I was listening to this as a background noise and i didn't find it interestinf in the slightest. yeah, I know all women are supposed to be LOCIN this kinda stuff, because they'll watch anything with romance innit but... well, I guess I'm just a different kind of woman. the one that would rather watch march madness or football game or thriller or horror, I steer clear outta romances, so to me it wasn't beautiful nor interesting in the slightest. it was... well, major BORING Hallmark movie vibes. but like I said, I find all romance movies VERY boring.

    • funny thing is that he knew nothing about her and she didnt give two shits about him. when all you care about is the media and the paparazzi, you really are a pretty shallow person. a country dude and a flashy chick dont mix. and he was right to not marry her.

    • @khushboo sirova WTF????? The very WRONG female that you ONLY refer to as an "antagonist" IS & WAS portraying a NARCISSISTIC, unhealthy, abusive person to EVEN be WITH!!!!!!!!! LEARN THE SIGNS & BEHAVIORS of these kinds of people WITH these ISSUES!!!!!!! PROTECT YOURSELF!!!!!!! Don't get yourself trapped to BEGIN with, BE SMARTER & WISER!!!!!!

    • @@pamelafrye4667 Omg, why are you being so angry. It’s okay, it’s only a movie. Not everyone has had a Narc in their lives and don’t know about them. A little kindness goes further than a scolding.

    • I like when the humanize the Not IT girl. That's more realistic. She wasn't a bad person. She just wasn't the right fit for him. She needs someone who loves being in the spotlight as much she does. He was asking her to give up her glamorous Hollywood lifestyle and high society social life to live on a ranch in the country in a small town in the middle of nowhere with no restuarants and get married in a barn with stinky farm animals. That's like Kayne trying to get an attention seeking Kim K to do so and look how their marriage ended. Dave Chappelle's wife was fine with it because she's a regular person who wanted marriage and children.
