Yeah, I lived in Virginia Beach and there is a GIANT Poseidon statue at one of the “entrances” to the beach. I always walked by and said, “hey dad” cause my friends would always call me son of Poseidon.
Interesting how the statue is technically King Neptune….. the Roman version of Poseidon he was 1000% meant for this role.

At first I was skeptical about Percy and Annabeth not looking exactly like their book depictions, but after watching the first two episodes the acting skills of these kids has utterly blown me away. They are better than many adult actors, and embody their characters so well. Turns out appearance really isn’t everything.
exactly, the biggest thing about adaptations is not to literally translate every word, it's to capture the essence of the scenes, the story and the characters. they did that perfectly this time.

Yeah cuz he’s 14 rn, by the time filming wraps S2 he’ll be 16. Which isn’t bad since he’ll be only about 2-3 years older, and kids grow rlly fast then so Percy having a growth spurt is normal

he is spectacular; but thats not rlly fair to say when the other actors haven’t really gotten a chance to shine yet. they havent had much dialogue or depth in their scenes whereas he has! i think they make an insanely talented ensemble
he really is great, but he’s also the main character. he gets more screen time, the biggest parts, etc. the others have barely been in the show thus far so i dont think its really fair to say that just yet 😭 plus, walker has had experience in other big projects with really big actors/actresses
PERCY is the best part of the books, literally. there's a reason he's the main character, he draws people in. walker just does a really great job to capture that. besides, the others get their moments later on in the book and the rest of the story.
I mean we've had a whole hour of show so far. He's had plenty of scenes with Grover, him and Annabeth shared a few moments, he was with Luke for a large chunk of episode 2. I feel like I'm watching Percy on screen, he's that natural. The others felt a little dry at times like they're just reading lines. He's such a great Percy and I'm so glad I got to live to see my favourite series get a wonderful adaptation. I love how well he's getting on with the cast too, fingers crossed they have 10 more seasons together! I'd love to see them all grow up and become young adults like the Harry Potter cast.

It's really nice to know that the new percy watched and enjoyed the percy jackson movies! Cuz i watched them when I was in elementary, and they'll always have a special place in my heart.
