This is just bhopping in the opposite direction. Quad loves showing off his skills, and he has shown that he can bhop backwards with ease. ABH is primarily in the later versions of Half Life 2, episode one, and episode two because of the forward velocity cap they introduced into the game. Anyway, I think ABH as you're referring to didn't exist in Half Life because there were no bhop caps
