And the world might be worse off because he stopped doing that. Honestly... how many chances are you going to give someone? Especially when they keep on escalating their poor behavior? Like it or not, Ra's had a point that sometimes you have to take out 'mad dogs' in society if you cannot lock them up properly because there are too many of them. The problem IRL today? Most 'criminals' are people who have been turned into that by fiat of law after doing nothing wrong... just putting what they want into their own body.

I find it interesting that he says Richard and Tim, but for Babs and Jason he says Ms Gordon and Mr Todd. Like he sees those two as his great nephews but he sees Jason and Babs as outsiders
That’s actually a good detail imo. I mean Bruce did adopt dick and Jason, thus Jacob acknowledges them by their full names.

It's more that Dick is Bruce's heir and the Drake family is in the same social class as the Waynes. He sees them as his social equals. Barbara is the daughter of just a police officer and Jason was a criminal/street kid. It's all part of the whole Court of Owls thing.
Jason seems like a natural character to have a conflict with the court, I’m surprised nobody has used this before
But also Dick to since in Comic Canon he was originally in line to become a Talon of the Court but didnt because Bruce got to him and adopted him before the court was able to get their hands on him.

@@Londonlink Not in Canon he went undercover because of that he was gaining intelligence for Batman, he probably would have if Midnighter never gave him the device planted in Damian, but since he got the bomb out he didnt become one, but never became a Talon, he came close in the whole Ric fiasco.

What I like about this is that the Court of Owls respected Bruce and some know he is Batman. However, you can see some anger in Jacob that despite what the Waynes and Bruce did, Gotham almost remained the same due to its growing crime. He also wants to start a war with the League of Shadows since he knows they are responsible for Bruce's death. The Court of Owls is like every shadowy organization in the world. However, they are just quieter about what they do. Despite this, the Court of Owls are not saints but they might've had a noble goal during its early foundation but gradually became corrupt and complacent over time. It is noted that the Justice League does exist in the Gotham Knights universe so the Court is aware that attacking Bruce also catches the Justice League's attention as well which is bad for them.
I'll bet the Court Of Owls isn't part of the Injustice canon, but if they were the villains of Injustice 3...
@@rambunctiousmedia3350 Injustice Year One likely takes place some years before Batman discovers the Court of Owls. However, the Joker nuke prevented Batman from ever encountering the Court. The Court likely went underground since they are good at hiding from many other secret organizations like the League of Shadows.

Jason (And Cassandra) were legally, officially adopted by Bruce, I don’t think Dick or Tim ever were.
But Jason was the first kid Bruce ever adopted. Dick was only a ward while he was living with Bruce and then posthumously adopted as an adult after Jason died.
Politics is politics but family is family.

Seeing them having this conversation each in their own way, makes it so much easier to imagine if Bruce himself was right here in their position. It's proof that through them, he lives on.

I would have liked to have seen ties into the Gray Son plotline, and I've always thought that Tim -- as a son of the Drakes, also parts of the wealthy elite -- would have been a good "You were supposed to be one of us!"
Depends on which story it's not always that the drake's are elites and in this universe they died and Bruce adopted Tim. However the one with Grayson could work. Because in an alternate universe he became a talon.
I found it odd that they chose Jacob Kane, Bat Woman's father to be the head of the Owls. Also I thought it would have been cool if fighting under nightwing the whole Gray son thing would have been a side plot
That's what I thought as well. I think they wanted the reveal to have a huge "shock" factor but it didn't work that well for me personally. Catherine Hamilton-Kane would've been a much better choice as the Court's leader, especially because she was a ruthless billionaire in the Batwoman TV series.

@@albertocruzado2899 the point I'm trying to make is that Jacob Kane being a villain came out of left field whereas Catherine would've been made more sense as the Voice.
I personally kinda wish they had used Bette Kane's father, Jacob's brother, who we know nothing about Jacob already has a lot going on as a character, and this will probably impact future depictions of him Although maybe this makes for a better reveal
I kinda wonder if batwoman will be a dlc add on character considering her step mom's the police commissioner and her dad was the grandmaster of the court of owls

Honestly the best thing about this game is you technically make it a game focused on bat family members who haven’t had the spotlight or even their own game as the protagonist. I mean aside from the Arkham DLC for Batgirl I can’t think of a DC game where you can play a story as either Tim Or Jason which is neat since (especially tim) are hardly used that much.
Same game you get to play as Tim stopping Harvey post Batman Knightfall protocol.
I think all the bat family have story driven dlc missions.

The concept of Bruce having an aunt and uncle really fucks with him being raised by his uncle. Like that is so insane legal shit they are just glossing over.

@@AndresHernandez-yk5im In the older comics, Bruce was raised by Alfred his butler, because there was LEGIT no one else to raise him (which is a big part of Bruce's trauma) But with the expansion of the Batman cast over the years like adding Uncle Jacob and his family, it starts to fall apart and writers need to start coming up with some really dumb ways to explain "why wasn't the next closest kin of Bruce given custody?" or just straight up ignore that for the sake of the character.

Not really Ra's killed Bruce and according to Talia. Ra's never intended on fighting the court of owls. So it's in no way Jacob's actions that lead to Bruce's death. Plus Jacob didn't even know about the league so yeah. Bruce's death had nothing to do with Jacob.

The reveal was SOOOO obvious (I mean there was literally nobody else the game introduced that it could’ve been) but the Court story was still cool.
It could've been catherine. Her hate towards vigilantes and Montoya the last good cop left. And the fact that Montoya states the Catherine isn't helping fight the corruption made me believe it was Catherine.

I like this version of the court, loved the comics so i was stoked When they announced them as main villains
The game isn’t bad, but one of the things the developers should have worked on instead of selling this game as fast as they could, they should have held onto it longer to work on the cutscenes when two players were playing together.
Exactly. It should've been delayed a little longer. The amount of passion they had for the character's interactions and story arcs, they should've had for literally everything else . . .
Agreed. They rushed it out because they wanted to release it on the anniversary of Arkham Origins. It's clear that they had a lot of passion for this setting and this character, and that's the main saving grace, but they should have delayed it a few more months, maybe even a year, to polish the story and gameplay.

They need to give this game a Batwoman DLC campaign because Jacob Kane is Batwoman's father in one version of the comics. If I am correct, he is also Bruce Uncle could be wrong about that though Edit - So looked it up Philip Kane and Jacob Kane were Martha Waynes ( Kane ) brothers in one version of Batman, Bruce their Newphew which would make Batwoman Bruce Cousin
Batwoman in every version was Bruce's cousin except in her first debut. And Jacob in every version was Bruce's uncle.

Really feels like katherine Kane should have been one of the cast members. I get keeping the big names but out of everyone in the family she seems pretty close to this.
Never thought the Kane’s worked in any medium. Bruce having immediate living family who would’ve definitely taken him in is just so stupid.
I'm kind of surprised Kate wasn't one of the playable characters given her father's involvement with the court.

considering all the stuff he's been through, it's kinda strange for Kane to be doing all this? i know he isn't above ending folks, but after all the sneaky stuff he did in the military, what it did to his family, and how it affected him, this all feels out of character
Dick’s was my favorite of these confrontations. It felt more visceral, more raw. You could feel how outraged Dick was that this lunatic would dare compare his twisted views to the mission that Dick and his adoptive father have.
I hate they gave Jacob the same dialogue for each character.

I wish the dialogue for Jacob was a bit more unique for each character aside from just simply referring to them by name. I would’ve liked to see Jason actually manage to piss Jacob off and get an outburst out of him.

History. In terms of inheritance when there were Two sons the estate would be split between them. Normally if one of the brothers die without a child, It goes to the uncle. Sometimes (not good) uncles would kill off or control their nephew in order to be able to have all of the estate. Have a good day and God bless.

Voice of the court: If anyone’s wearing a mask, it’s you… *he removes his mask and turned to me, revealing a familiar face* Voice of the court: Ms. Blankenship. *I was taken back from the shock. There was no way. I tried to play it cool* Me: You’re Bruce Wayne’s uncle, Jacob Kane. But, riddle me this, what makes you think that…? Jacob Kane: I know. We’re under attack in the ballroom, they came out of nowhere. *Jacob grabbed the mask next to the one he previously worn and donned it then he grabbed a remote on his desk* Jacob: Clearly I have bigger problems right now. Just stay out of my way, you won’t like what happens next. *Then he pressed a button and the wall slid back down, ending our conversation*

i will say some of them don't really flow well kind of wish they slightly adjusted the lines to flow back and forth with the best one of these is nightwings as it flows back and forth better
