For the best experience, use headphones and enjoy the incredible and satisfying ASMR sounds of the movie Phantom Thread, without music, just pure raw audio.
Film Synopsis:
Set in the glamour of the 1950's post-war London, renowned dressmaker Reynolds Woodcock (Daniel Day-Lewis) and his sister Cyril (Lesley Manville) are at the center of the British fashion, dressing royalty, movie stars, heiresses, socialites, debutants and dames with the distinct style of The House of Woodcock. Women come and go through Woodcock's life until he comes across a young, strong-willed woman, Alma (Vicky Krieps), who soon becomes a fixture in his life as his muse and lover. Once controlled and planned, he finds his carefully tailored life disrupted by the scariest curse of all…love.

    @hamavery6476@hamavery64764 ай бұрын
    • Most of them are sounds created by sound artists tho. It’s interesting if you look up how they make sound effects to match scenes in movies! I also agree, I love that wooden floor sound and the sound of gravel crunching under someone’s feet 😂

    • But I totally get your point. One of my favorite is the SHINING. The asmr in that is crazy. Them walking through the halls getting the tour, the silence and echos of the hotel, the black guys voice, the long shots, etc. The mics just sounded more authentic and picked up more naturally

      @slim..reaper@slim..reaper3 ай бұрын
  • sound design is something so ridiculously underrated in film. any little sound in a movie, from the unfolding of clothes to the sliding of a business card, ALL has to be picked up by microphones, mixed in, (sometimes foleyed), and have to convey the tone & match the direction of the film. movies like this work WONDERS with it, and im not surprised to see this movie used for ASMR as, in some ways, that feeling you feel from the sound design is INTENTIONAL.

    • Could not agree more. I've done some minor sound work before (just helping out friends, normally in front of the screen 😅) and damn does it make a difference having good sound technicians. It can really make the whole film - the breakfast scene sort of proved in a way just how important sound can be.

Yes, sound performs with the actors!! But this is definitely an interesting vid which is recognising the sound crew. Thank U ( fun fact: 95% of the time Producers have no clue what sound dept 'does' and 100% of the time sound never gets respect. All love goes to cam)
