Being a guy who wore nothing else but ties everyday before the pandemic, I found those that don't do a double Windsor end up having to adjust their tie multiple times throughout the day. Gotta appreciate just a straight, simple knot. It may not be the best in the world, but it's perfectly serviceable and if you're trying to teach people how to tie a tie it's a great one to go for.
It’s a half Windsor. Not a hard knot in the slightest but definitely not the easiest.
@@JM-dy4ty I don't think it is, a half-windsor goes around another time before pulling through. I believe the proper name for this type of knot is a Kent knot or an Oriental knot.

We were shopping at Penney’s and I don’t know how the elderly salesman guessed that I was unprepared to help much. He came up and asked about what kinds of activities was my son interested in. Exactly my comment. He 100% is a double windsor guy, probably just doing an easy one to teach everyone on video. Double windsor the only way
Exactly! Especially with that collar, double or nothing. Was this a four-in-hand knot? The knot doesn't look even/symmetrical enough to be any type of Windsor.

@Robert DaggettThat's a four in hand knot, it's simple but it isn't looked down upon (like you did)from classic menswear enthusiasts. Lol lowkey thought he was a double windsor knot type of rich guy
he has like 100 ties on that rack
Damn lucky dude, having a nice dad. When I asked my das anything, he just started a 5 hour Ted Talk
I was struggling to teach myself until I came across his helpful drinking videos and teaching videos. Thanks
I feel like a double windsor makes sure your knot doesn't look so crooked, but more even. Only issue I have is I have to redo because my tie's size.
Only style novices goes for the double winsor. It’s too thick and it’s quite ugly when it’s symmetrical.
Being a guy who wore nothing else but ties everyday before the pandemic, I found those that don't do a double Windsor end up having to adjust their tie multiple times throughout the day. Although the reality of the situation often happens to be down to what the material is made from. Some are just made for a double knott, others aren't.
Yeah it looks better. I tied it his way when I had to figure out how to tie it myself as a kid in boarding school
Full Windsor is the way to go
@@toonsoffun5733 then you’re not as proficient with the double Windsor as you may think
Every monday during high school, it was mandatory for some of us to wear a tie. Since I learnt to do mine, I was able to help a lot of others. Was happy that I could make good use of my skill 😂

Why just Monday?
@@moggtheboss3087 good question, we have our official morning assemblies every monday. It's usually the day where the principal gives speech/giving out awards to those who won recent competitions/celebrating birthdays, national reading, science, safety month and etc.
Damn you taught it better than anyone else 🤣
I have to do this everyday for school lol
This is how my father always ties his ties, except he does the crossing of the fat side over the other side as well. I think the dad here does the half Windsor and my father does the full Windsor.
Yes this is half Windsor. I never use this because this is a bit unsymmetrical. I prefer full windsor
full windsor all the way 🤟🏽
@@neerajmaindan7266 was about to say the same thing lol
I live for the full Windsor knot. I get so stressed out with other knots but I'm just weird lmao
I appreciate everyone here please don’t half cause it’s saddening
Honestly, stuff like this is cool bc it's like having lessons your dad should've been able to teach you.
Your dad is the dad we didn’t ask for but the dad we all need!
This is one of the few videos that actually work on KZhead
I wish I could talk to my dad like that 🥺
Yeah, I agree. I wish I could talk to your dad like that too.
I wish I had a dad
@Travis Cook Totally agree bro!💯
I appreciate that Agent 47's son is trying to spread the knowledge of tying a tie by recording him himself after years of wearing a tie during his missions. And for anyone out there without a dad, my condolences, and I hope they are in peace and heavens. Edit : I don't know if it is necessary to put that, but I didn't expect you guys to see this comment and blow it up. Thanks again guys. Have a good day.
And I hope it wasn’t 47 that made them dadless
No that's Johnny Sins
My dad just left and didn't come back tho so........
@@spheniscidae4706 I'm so sorry. Sending positive vibes and hugs.
Thanks g, appreciate that I hope he’s in peace as well 🙌🏾
Took me two tries compared to the other video I watched where I couldn’t get it. This video made it much easier to understand.
GODDAMN AFTER A TON OF FRUSTATING TRIES JUST THIS ONE THAT FRIGGIN WORKS, THANKS A TON.
As someone who doesn’t really have a great dad I appreciate some of the videos you guys do teaching normal father things
I care👌👌 hope you're doing fine even though you don't have your father around.

lol, my mom had to learn how to tie my tie and that's how we discovered this video 😂😂😂
Thank you sir. After multiple tries and watch this helpful short video now I can easily tie a tie. Thanks a lot 🙏🙏
Might be my only chance to say this but I love your content! Whether it's drinks- or not- it's all great content. Keep it up please!!!

I'm female and my Dad taught me how to tie them when I was little. He wore a shirt and tie everyday. It came in handy as I've taught all my boys and re-taught my husband who didn't do a good job on his.
Wait a minute woman wore ties
@@zaxklaes4287 no but they should. women wearing ties is criminally underrated

Thanks for this. Never had anyone to teach me how to do this.
I for some reason get mafia boss vibes from this dude
I love how initially he looked pissed, then happy as he gets an opportunity to show off
Yeah he was definitely like “oh great what is my son about to make me do” before the question is asked
Yeah definitely wasn't just poor acting like all the other videos
Getting the knot techniques are the easy part. Estimating the length you need to distribute in each side and constantly remembering it everytime you wear a tie is the hard part. (Especially different ties with different lengths)
It's a tie. It's not art. It's not some genius contraption. ITS A FUCKING TIE
Facts
Especially for perfectionists like me who wants the tip to stop perfectly at my belt buckle
@@theoryg7428 who said it wasnt? Lol
You don't need to remember the length you just need to remember that the first time you tie it make a mental note of where the skinny part is landing in terms of shirt buttons and then you can adjust easily on the second try
This was the best tutorial by far I found
I’ve watched and tried with many other people but you actually helped me this time, thank you for being a good father, dad.
I'm constantly in awe of how classy, stylish, and brilliant this channel is. Every video feels natural but is obviously planned out and to perfection!

I need to teach myself how to tie a tie. This person is incredibly fortunate that he has such a great dad.
