Brilliant! The Lying Game is the best! I'll be listening tonight. Best, Michael the Shaman.
Hi Michael 👋
The release of this episode really proved the principle of 'delayed gratification': when it was launched I was all over the place and knew I wasn't going to enjoy it that much if I listened to it right then. So I waited. Here is my reward! Couldn't have enjoyed myself more!!! Sheer happiness! THANKS!!!! 🌟🎉💕
I'm still breathing😉 I love all kinds of your podcast, Luke. I love your meetings and conversations with your guests. I love your solo performances. I love it when you sing and play instruments, guitar or ukulele. I admire your ideas and methods of teaching language. It's always interesting and inspiring. Thanks a lot🙂

Always enjoy seeing you have a chat with your mates. It’s a good chance to learn how natives speak
Had lots of fun trying to find out the right/wrong statement. Luke, Amber & Paul are great pretenders! Learnt a lot with your vocabulary list, full of clear examples and explanations. Beautiful, real English! It's a privilege having you as our teacher, Luke! Agree with your plethora of stories!
Dear Luke The language level was perfect, the contenti very hilarius. Please, don't make your podcasts less difficult. There are enough programmes on a lower level. Thank you for your invaluable work
As always, I won’t make the content simple, but I will add support to help people understand and learn.
Thanks. It's very good épisode
Thank you for making such a useful content, I believe it would be perfect if you keep adding vocabularies at the end of the videos. Thanks Luke

It was a great conversation, thanks a lot. Greetings from Poland
I love watching you together, it's a pretty good way to learn English from a natural conversations at normal speed, so much fun 😂❤
Congrats! That is the best video on this channel I've ever watched! I am Brazilian and I'm learning English, then it's a good video for training my ability of listening to native-speakers. They spoke in a clear way, slowly, and the most important: most the words they used I already know! Luke, thank you very much for making so good videos. You are amazing!
We are waiting for a special episode when you reach the first million in youtube 😍😍
Nice to see u guys together again😸😺

I really enjoyed this episode🎉 This time you guys were quite natural talking each other. I mean you weren't anxious of us and felt free That what we needed in order to hear live English. And thanks for vocabulary part too.🎉🎉🎉
Svelte!😄I had no idea you have this word in English. We have it in my native language, which is Latin based and we pronounce it almost exactly the same. Loved the episode's new vocab: ”hair of the dog” ”fall off the wagon”, ”slippery slope”, ”plethora”, ”flimsy” - all new to me! Exquisite! I'll put them to use🤩
Can i talk t u? I m frm india

As for your stories, I thought Paul and Amber were lying and Luke was telling the truth. In fact, it turned out to be the opposite🙃☺️ Each of you managed to cheat me 😉😊 Bravo🤩

1:42:40 - Russian people always say literally: "Don't make me nervous! (Don't do my nervous)" That means: "Don't do that, because if i get nervous/angry i will not control myself". But sometimes it is just means "You annoy me", "You get on my nerves".
Nervous is the wrong word in that situation in English.
@@LukesEnglishPodcast Even expression "to get on my nerves" ? That was translated as "to annoy" in google translator. If you annoy people they get angry :)
@@user-xk7se7tj7q “get on my nerves” means “makes me annoyed/angry” yes. But “nervous” doesn’t mean same the thing.
Hi I am the new listener welcome can you please make a little longer ❤❤❤
Hi, Teacher Luke. I can't remember the name of the story. Can you help? This is a story I read in English many years ago, but it's been too long for me to remember, the story goes something like this: A young man fell in love with a girl whose father was a businessman and very rich. But the lad was poorer, so the girl's father looked down on his daughter's boyfriend. So, the lad held a grudge and he came up with a plan to get back at the businessman. On the day he and the girl got married, many friends of the businessman came, and the lad tied the girl to a big tree, and he humiliated the girl's father in this way. Then a dog passed by. Then the girl gave birth to a child, who was born with an extremely sensitive sense of smell, and when the child grew up, the child's mother, the girl who had been tied to the tree, told her son to go and avenge her by going after the ungrateful man…… The boy grew up with a sense of smell like a dog. Remember when she was tied naked to a tree? Then the boy's mom pulls out the clothes the negative man once wore and tells the boy to go after the negative man
I can't remember the name of the story, or the names of the characters in it, but it was a very good story, read once about 15-20 years ago, and was very impressive. HOPE YOU CAN HELP ...
Oh my god , I love this type of videos 😭🫶🏻
I don`t like this type of videos....
We are the best ❤
Hi Luke, Hope everything's fine I Just wanted to ask you if you have any conversation class, maybe online. I'd really love It.
I was kind of laughing when Amber pretended she was afraid of cows, because I really AM. And believe me, this is far worst than you can imagine as I live in the Dolomites and I used to work full time as a nature guide. Can you imagine that??? Maybe that's one of the reasons why I changed my job 🙂
Hi Luke! One question on vocabulary section: you've got "relapsed from alcohol" Shouldn't it rather be "relaped into"? Thanks!
Actually, no. We say ‘relapse into + a kind of behaviour, but we say ‘relapse from alcohol’. It sounds a bit odd, but it’s what people say. Edit: having checked, I found examples of “relapse into alcohol” and “relapse from alcohol”
@@LukesEnglishPodcast Thank you, Luke. This is a curious vocabulary item, something to think about.:)
Hi, Luke!!!
What kind of company of the telecaster in the background?
It’s a Squier :)
👌👌👌👌👌 luke am form Ethiopia

Here we go 😎
A hangover, and in particular the urge to vomit, can be easily treated with marijuana. In many cases, this plant is indeed medicinal. But I don’t recommend getting carried away. Moderate physical activity is the best.
Relapse from ? Shouldn't it be relapse into ?
I never drink alcohol in my life
Robert is your mother's brother! Robert's your father's nearest male relative! And here you are: Bob’s your uncle!
I don’t know what an alfeear is and how come Amber has got hers in Russia and at this point I’m too afraid to ask.
Speaking of cows, moose, and mosquitoes, how is the situation with bedbugs going? Have they started becoming friendlier, like rats?
Nobody is talking about them anymore and the whole situation has blown over 🤷♂️
Great news! I’m thinking of showing up at Roland Garros in May. I hope I won’t come across any of them. 🤞😅

Parece que o inglês britânico é como se estivesse gripado e nariz congestionado kkkkkk o inglês americanizado é mais clear. Quero mt aprender o sotaque americano🎉❤
No, I actually have a blocked nose and a cold.
@@LukesEnglishPodcast oh i'm sorry. I don't think to be this.

Paul speaks veruy fast. Sometimes difficult to catch up.
Do you like Ismo's humor?
Dear Luke, your comments deleted so many my misunderstanding :)
I’m glad my work was helpful!

Thank you, Luke. However, I do not think, Paul, that F.... words are funny - they are REALLY rude. Then I have a question: do you really respect your listeners?
Hi Luke, I love your videos and more of your guests, but this time wasn't the same, to be honest. I have found Paul a little annoyed every time he swear. To me it's unprofessional. We're learning to speak good English. I don't need to hear swearing words.
I like Lukes videos: BUT I think he topic of alcohol inappropriate - AND Pauls pronunciation is difficult for me to understand - it does not sound well!
Well, I am afraid that swear words are quite often used words when you are among native speakers. You do not have to use them yourself, if you do not want but this is how life naturally goes.
@@babciamira9556 Using foul language is a character flaw and should not be called normal life!
@@MHZ-gc2bw I understand your point of view. But we will not benefit by trying to change the reality of everyday communication or trying to influence others characters. We ourselves may not behave this way but remaining distance to others and just understanding them seems to be better option than feeling angry. Do not you think so?
Sorry, is that supposed to be reality? I understand that you can't change other people-but it was too much! Okay, are you on Luke's team? I hope Luke stays at good level!
Congratulations 1M 😂, I’m feeling proud of me to fond your channel in 2022 , I started learning English from your videos . Thank you so much , you the best teacher ever 🩷🩷
Ridiculous to see these people holding micros in their hands )))
No it’s completely fine. In fact it’s easier to hold them in our hands. Mic stands can be uncomfortable because you have to sit in the same position the entire time.
what about wireless micros attached to your shirts?@@LukesEnglishPodcast
@@dudeinthecrowd They are standup comedies. Holding a microphone is a part of their profession. They can make a joke out of holding a microphone in their hand if you see what I mean.
@@dudeinthecrowd They don’t sound as good. Really, holding the microphones is no problem for us so there’s no need to consider it ridiculous.
I got your point. Keep up doing great work! Thank you! @@LukesEnglishPodcast
