I'm at 15k in the morning...I use the afternoon as option and if I get out, I might add another 3K

I tried it before in 3mos i've lost 14kgs. 20000 steps is equal to 3hrs and 15 mins of walking. Plus eating healthy foods. No junkfoods, softdrinks and juices. Drink a lot of water.

You people are nuts. I walked 5k-10k for about a year and I dropped 36kg (116 down to 80kg) within 4 months. I absolutely positively didn’t stop drinking juices. I just ate healthy (small doses in the first 2 months), no soft drinks, and quit junk food all together. Once I maintained 80kg, I started eating twice a day since I noticed I was losing more weight than I would like (I’m 6 foot). 20k isn’t hard. It’s just unnecessary, especially if you’re doing it for weight loss. You might get planter fasciitis and believe me you don’t want that to happen. 10k is superb for running or walking. And in summer it’s perfect. It all comes down to food.
I increased my walking about a year ago when I found out I had osteoporosis. I knew I needed to do more weight-bearing exercises, so I increased my walking. Within a very short time I no longer had calf cramps at night and I was sleeping better. & Ive lost 15#!

For me I can complete 20k steps by waking an hour in the morning so that’s about 6k steps and then throughout the day I would walk 10 minutes every hour and without even realizing I would reach my goal :)
If you want to use that hour in the morning more efficiently, just go to the gym. It might hurt you more, but that's just because you are achieving actual growth for your muscles
Same! I walk 6k in the morning and climb my way to 20k by setting alarms to walk 15 min throughout the day in breaks

20000 steps is overkill for weight loss. You only need to walk a half hour a day (optimally 1 hour). Not a broken up half hour. 1 session walking briskly enough to get your heart going.
A lot depends on your diet aswell if your eating lots of junk food then you’ll need to walk more steps if you want to loose weight..
Im 55. I try to do six thousand steps every day. Within that I try to make two of them ten thousand steps a week. Every so often I try to do a fifteen- twenty thousand steps walk. The key for me is exercising on a regular basis.
Now Bob needs a new pair of shoes every three weeks.

I think the EASIEST way to lose weight is to drink a ton of water. I drank between 1/2 gallon to a whole gallon a day, and I lost nearly 20 pounds. I’m only 16 by the way

It may not work for some but this method also worked form along with 10k steps a day . I have a slow digestive system so all the water and the lack of over eating helps with the weight loss ..down 32 lbs .

I tracked how much I walked on one of my hardest days at landscaping and it said 16 miles on my watch. Not sure how accurate those things are but it was 16 miles in a 9 hour day. I would walk in a fast pace because we needed to get the jobs done by the end of the day. To this day I still walk at a fast pace lol it stuck with me.
It's truth I walk nearly 50k steps everyday because I am always working and my body is perfectly shaped

you need to walk faster than, in 100 mins of walking i get between 10000-12000 steps depending on speed
20,000 steps according to google is walking more than 3 hrs. Start walking by 6pm. You'll be finished by past 9pm

Yeah. That's a key point. You can't eat more just because you're walking more... I don't think it's the number of meals, but the number of calories. I count mine. I don't walk as much as you. I do 15,000 ... and also reduced my caloric intake...that's when I started dropping weight

How old was Bob ? I’m 50 work on my feet all day put in 1500 steps weight about 260 and can’t lose it.
It's tough with a job like that. Try some HIIT perhaps. Sure it is more intense, but it takes less time and you will sweat a lot. It will get easier the more you do it. Have a nice day!

Cut out sugar and processed foods. The weight will fall off.

I don’t always grab my phone when I’m home and have to go to the bathroom or take my dogs out. We do park our car furthest out when we go to the store. There’s some steps involved there. If you shuffle when you walk vice picking up your feet does that gain you more of a count in steps? Anyone know the answer to that?
