  • This is adorable!! The saddest thing is that I could understand most of the video in text, but not in speaking. I could not get a single word when people speak, but only when they write it I can understand, or atleast when they speak slowly. It's so embarassing.. 😢

    • Thank you so much!! Don’t put yourself down so much! 😢 I had the same issue learning English, but I can promise you with a ton of reading and listening your speaking will get better. My husband has the same problem, but by listening to Korean more and more and practice speaking he’s improved drastically. Try to use the podcast and videos in different ways such as using Trancy (info is in the description) to practice dictation! I also recommend listening to the same material repeatedly with and without subtitles in a row. If you are familiar with what you’re listening to already then you might start to hear more words, more grammar phrases, and so on! I think it’s really important that you experience that feeling of you hearing something and being able to understand it, no matter what it was!! 화이팅!!!! 💪🏻 Please keep me posted how it goes! ♥️

  • In german cafes, all you can do besides eating and drinking is talking to who you are there with. If 2 people or more come together, they let them talk for a while even i they are finished, some stay for so long. But if you are alone, many cafes will let you stay only 5 or 10 minutes after finishing if they are generous. After that, many will ask you to leave or order more. Studying or reading is unthinkable in most cafes here. It´s sad, I love being in cafes and I would love to study o read there. Fortunately the coffee/bagel shop owner in my street is really nice, she doesn´t mind people staying longer. It´s not easy to study ther because the tables are high and small, but if you just bring a study notebook it is possible to study for maybe an hour. She never asks people to leave unless she´s closing.

    @EE-iw3fy@EE-iw3fy9 ай бұрын
    • Ohh! I never knew that about German cafes! That’s for sure such a different perspective that the country/society has. Thank you for sharing about it! But it’s good that you have at least that cafe that you can study in for a little bit longer! 🥺 I know, studying or reading in cafes are just relaxing but fun. That’s such a bummer. Hopefully you get to visit/travel to different countries or places that have cafes where you can stay as long as you want one day! 😊

  • Anyong seo! I'm from the US and I've become a fan of k-dramas, so I thought it would be fun to learn Korean and not have to rely on subtitles (which feels a long way off right now). I've started this learning journey about a year ago, but I took a break and for several months and have just gotten back into it. I'm from the Seattle area on the west coast of the US - and we are all about coffee here (Starbucks started here)! I hope to visit Korea someday. Kansahamnida for sharing these stories with us to help us learn. I appreciate it!

    • Thank you so much!! 😍 we are really having fun making content and helping out fellow Korean learners! And we really appreciate the feedback, we’ll definitely keep that in mind for our next podcast that comes out in a couple of days!

    • Hello!🤗 I just wanted let you know that you can find the unsubtitled version of our latest podcast (Ep.3) in the Ep.3 video description! We made it unlisted so you can access it only by clicking that link in the description. We are trying different ways to post podcasts to meet different purposes. Just wanted to let you know! ☺️💗
