In my opinion, this is the best version of Messi. Yes, better than 10/11/12. This version is the ultimate player of all-time. He was as talented as before, but understood the game better and was more physical. If he had good teamates (Suarez wasn't as good as before, defense was trash, even the coach was bad), he would have won the UCL. No one has ever carried a team like this Messi. Fc Barcelona wasn't so good as it can seem, but Messi covered up all the problems by himself. So yes, we probably never gonna see a player like this again in our lifetime.

aren't vision, passing, and placements the same thing? I think vision and passing are the same but by placement do you mean positioning on the field? Bc there are strikers that definitely have better positioning. Also, his abilities are highly exaggerated due to his poor opposition. You can show me all the Messi fan videos that you want but the reality is many of them are against weak La Liga teams. The hat tricks that Ronaldo gets on big nights like the Atletico are why is the best player in modern football. While I agree that Messi is a phenomenal player, easily the second best in the world, I think that he fails to deliver the same way Ronaldo consistently delivers on the big stage. And then you say Messi "is not arrogant" as if it means anything. When I see Ronaldo get cocky before games like the Atletico game, I think, "good, this guy is getting his head ready", and then he goes and gets a hat trick. "Arrogance" has nothing to do with the "who is the best" argument.

paco brasas you know what’s crazy? The fact that A. Messi obviously has more skill and individual talent and B. I love Ronaldo yet admit he’s on the same level as Messi but I personally think messis higher. Ronaldo limits himself to headers and box shots, his shot distribution chart shows how his teammates set him up for most of his shots inside the box. Messis shot distribution is evenly balanced where he created those opportunities for himself most of the time. There’s a reason he won the balondor 6 times more than Ronaldo. Ronaldo has been great for so long like Messi and he may have more international success, than can be attributed to the fact that his teammates have stepped up more than messis teammates. Messi has set his team up for countless opportunities but they’ve just missed wayyy too much and u can’t fault messi for that. Also Messi has clearly been the better defensive player shown in that he has more interceptions than fouls while Ronaldo has been the opposite. Also Messi has been a MUCH better passer and has set his team up for many opportunities. His assists should be even higher but his teammates often do tend to fail to convert. Messi is also the more efficient scorer. His goal scoring percentages have been wayyy higher than Ronaldo. Ronaldo takes too many reckless shots. Messi has more individual accolades, has more skill and creativity to his game, and creates more opportunities for his teammates. I think he’s the better player.
paco brasas soccer isn’t basketball. You can’t rely on one player to do the work. There are too many players. Having more individual accolades matters more than having team accolades in soccer when determining the better player

his passes amaze me more now...at first it was his dribbling of 3,4,5 players that amaze me but I'm used to it now....but now, his passes are well calculated, accurate and passes the tightest of spaces...it's a wow..it can be lob pass or through pass...it will surely get to the target... whether long or shot distance, it will surely get there...and he does this with defences on him or defenses being alert but still the can't block it....he is the greatest ever....ever...ever...forever...ever....damn....ever brethren....😁
