I love Kimberly's honesty - "it's not what I am about." We who watch Kimberly and FQS Livestreams are pleased that FQS has come up with this challenging block - it is not a usual pattern for her. One place in the video she says: "Take a break and finish tomorrow!" I laughed!!
Kimberly, another amazing video, wish I had watched your how to videos about 40 years ago when I began quilting. quilters today are so lucky to have so many tools to make our quilts more perfect. Thank you for being there for so many.
Thank you for demonstrating a very difficult block. I purchased an accuquilt Die for the feathered star....wow! what a challenge! So thank you so much for offering a more simple and "do-able" way of making this block. It is so beautiful in a full size quilt. FQS never disappoints.
This breaks this difficult block down into easier units! One at a time!! With the way y’all write your patterns, you make these types of designs so achievable! Thank you Kimberly and Fat Quarter Team!
I love this…a challenging pattern with Kimberly’s tips and tricks. Doesn’t get any better than that! Thank you, FQS…my favorite quilt shop!❤
Looks very challenging. Glad to see an indepth tutorial. Thank you
Fabulous instructions got my fabric starched n all ready to cut
Very pretty Kimberly. Thanks for sharing
Gorgeous! I look forward to making one. Thanks for sharing and inspiring.
I learn so much from your tutorials. Thank you Kimberly❤😊
Kimberly, you are such a great teacher!! Thank you for sharing your talents with us!!!
Thanks for another gorgeous quilt.
Much easier than it looks! Thanks for the great tutorial!
What a new version and it is another beautiful feathered star. I'm going to try it.
That’s an amazing quilt Kimberley. You’re such a stellar quilter. Thank you for showing us this block.
Loved making this! The triangle paper and especially the flying geese papers are the best!
I love, love, love this pattern ❣️ Thank you for giving it to us free❣️
That's a cool pattern, thank you Kimberly!
I love this revised version. I am sure they are more accurate more easily. I will be adding this to my list of quilts. It will make a beautiful wall hanging or table topper! Many thanks for all the tips and tricks, Kimberly!
I absolutely love that background!
Oh my glue and basting spray have changed my quilting abilities. Not afraid of triangles anymore
Absolutely beautiful and simplified!!❤
Whoa, this is definitely above my skill level. Maybe the triangle and flying geese paper would make it possible. For sure I would never attempt it without using the foundation papers! Before I cut and sew this for a quilt of beautiful fabrics, I would try it first using fabric from my scraps just to see if it’s possible! Thanks Kimberly for sharing this. You do make it look easy and yours comes out so perfect! Awesome!
This was stunning! Loved all of the tips. I definitely could make this using your methods. Thank you Kimberly.
I do love it!
Absolutely gorgeous
Wow that an amazing quilt can't wait to try it out ❤
Great Video!! ❤
Thank you Kimberly!!! This is really beautiful and your instructions are so perfect!! I'm going to try it!!
Beautiful! I would love to make this. That blue fabric is gorgeous! Thank you, Kimberly for the tutorials!
I have started the Editya Sitars feathered star and as I said STARTED. Going to do this method. NO Y seams.....thank you. Great tutorial and I guess another UFO will be completed....
Love this! One of many on my list!
I have always wanted to make a feathered star but it looks so complicated. I love, love, love your foundation paper and have some so I will give this a try. It will be on my list to finish in 2023. Thank you for the step by step guide and pattern to help out us scaredy cats and simplify this design.
Thank you, I will try this, I like star blocks
I’m doing the faux feathered star and I invited my sister, my daughter and my niece to join me, but I’m only giving them the instructions in 3 separate sections once a week for a mystery quilt. I haven’t told them they could get the whole thing on your KZhead video 😂. I’ll give them that link at the end.
Thank you, Kimberly! I just received my kit yesterday! I plan on entering this quilt in my local quilt show in July!
Love this feathered star quilt pattern!
Love your tutorials Kimberly. I’ve learned so much from you. I’m gonna try and make this feathered star after the holidays. Wish me luck. Lol
Never thought to try this pattern until watching this video...i will definitely be taking breaks just so i don't get frustrated but I love how Kimberly broke this down and showed how to get this done with accuracy! Crossing my fingers y'all!!
Definitely will try in Spring or Summer with my leftovers from nantucket summer
Very pretty 😍
Thank you! Looks doable❤
When cutting triangle paper....I cut on an old cricut (barely tacky) mat so my fabric doesn't move and I can cut more accurate.
great block!
This is awesome .. cannot wait to tackle it TY
Beautiful .. one day...may be?
Oh yes, I will have to make this one❤
Your teaching tutorials and quilting skills always build and motivate my confidence ! Love this!
I have been using your press to one side BEFORE pressing open and they are so much straighter and flatter than just press open. This old dog learned a new, worth the time trick! Thanks kiddo!
thank ypu!
This is fabulous ❤, may be a little advanced for me, but would like to give it a try x
Oh my goodness, Kimberly! Thank you, this is totally do-able for me.❤
Such a beautiful quilt. Thank you for the video. My confidence has grown and am putting it on my "to-make" list!
Thank you for another beautiful pattern. With the triangle paper, I will be adding this on to my list of quilts to make.
Another great tutorial!!! Thank you Kimberly for all your great instructions. Happy Quilting!! Ordered my kit today and can't wait to start. You are the best!!!🥰. Laurie
Excited to attempt this! Your instructions are always clear and specific step by step. Appreciate all the tips on pinning and pressing. Thank you Kimberly!
I’m not ready for this advanced quilt yet, but I would like to learn more about your it’s so Emma triangle rolls and square in a square blocks. I would like to use them, but I’m not sure how to figure out what to order, like what size you start with and what size you end up with. Maybe a video about all the different blocks you can make with them. I really like the accuracy, and I think that is the key to not getting overwhelmed as a beginner.. Thanks Kimberly.
Oh I can not wait to make this one. Beautiful. Thank you Kimberly for the great video.
I’d love to do this one
Thank you so much . I truly appreciate you and all you do for quilters.
Kimberly, you are such an excellent instructor !! Love all of your tutorials 💕 I don't think I will be trying this any time soon. Too many ufo's right now 😁
Bought my kit - looking forward to making this quilt. Thanks Kimberly and team. ❤
I was viewing this quilt kit just yesterday. Thank you
Thanks Kimberly great video!
Loved your video today Kimberly. I'm going to make this quilt as soon as possible. I just loved your instructions.
Gorgeous! Will have to add this to my list of things to make!
I Love this! Best part is that I get to use all the papers 🥰
Love your simplified version. I would like to give this a try!
Gorgeous quilt! I have to try this one for sure! 😍🤩
Всё просто и доступно😊
This is beautiful and your instructions are absolutely the best as always! Would love to make this to go with Patchwork Barn by Edyta Sitar (that I’m working on now) hanging in my long foyer.
Beautiful! I will be making this one!
Very cool. Thank you so much 🎉
I have only been quilting for a year, so I love this block but will print the pattern and try it next summer. I love the foundation paper piecing, currently using the 12 inch economy block with fussy cut center to make christmas table runners..
So Glad I watched the video, as the pattern shows HST instead of flying geese! And the rectangles with the opposite ends snowballed are not reflected in the diagrams!!
Beautiful ❤
Beautiful!!
It's so helpful that you point at the directions that are written while you demonstrate so I can learn how to interpret pattern instructions! Of course you always teach us where the accuracy is built so that is super useful for success!
❤❤❤
👍❤️😊
Could you share what straight pins you are using, I love how easy they slide in the fabric, thank you.
I think this would be great to know. I assume a very fine pin would be helpful!
