- And lazy is the complete wrong word, experienced is better. They have the experience to know if they wrestle someone for a round and the guy fights it and doesn't just go to his back, in round 2 they're going to be down a gear because they blew it in the first. It's not that they'll be exhausted just definitely can't knock their opponent out is the rationale imo

- @@brandonamezquita4501 Yeah FR this is why I never Grapple or Lock against another Better Grappler. I'm gonna do everything in my Power to keep them just at mid counterstriking range. And if they try to push into smother or grapple the I'd just start to Brawl with Short, Sharp, Fast, Compact shots. Specifically as tight as possible to Brawl on the inside even when smothered. The closest I'll get to Grappling with a Grappler is Hand Trapping and Framing for a Free Strike. And even then that's risky if the other guy gets pissed of from getting Pummeled and just forces his way in. But if you master brawling I find using this method against a Grappler. They would basically have to be bigger then your Weight class. Or they need to also have an amazing Striking base. Since I find if you master inside compact strikes. You can even land multiple body shots in a row even when as point blank as can be. The hardest part of this method is learning how to generate power from no distance. As well as how to pull back in a clench to get a couple inches to land more powerful body shots. But this part requires such split second reaction time.

- @@brandonamezquita4501 Yeah learning to Brawl and Frame off a clinch using Thai Style Blocks and Clinches really helped me learn how to fight at an even level with people bigger. Or who are just so good I'll be in a hold or submission before I can even think. Reversals, Escapes, Defenses, Holding Guard, Redirections were the only things I picked up from different Grappling Arts. I find the only way to deal with Grapplers under rules with no strikes if your less skilled. Is to have a million different reversals and back pocket techiques that work against what they're trying to do. It's the most boring way to fight but definitely the smartest and most efficient and effective. Never understood why people would play to a Grapplers game as a Striker. Tried for years but I'll never be a master of say Brazilian Juijitsu. Even though I know practically every single Guard, Defense, and Pull from the art.
