Kaley talks about having a nine-month-old, flying with the baby and bringing a sound machine for her to sleep, another passenger on the plane asking them to turn it off, kids watching television, her partner Tom never seeing “The Big Bang Theory,” her new movie Role Play on Amazon Prime Video, filming in Germany while pregnant, craving Taco Bell, having lots of animals around the house, and Jimmy’s new dog named Todd.

  • Advice for parents with babies when flying: bring a bottle or naturally feed during take off and landing, it helps with popping ears due to cabin pressure fluctuations. Someone gave me this tip and my baby never cried on flights.

    • True. A year ago I went to my brother's place in WV for a sort of family reunion which also included old friends. Like the kids, our old friends Steve and Bill and I were not picky about where we slept in his overflowing house and we slept on cots in the garage, and there was this annoying noise coming from Steve's bed which I thought was his CPAP machine so I didn't gripe. I found out the 2nd night is was his phone playing an app that was supposed to sound like rain falling and helped him sleep, because he said, "I forgot to ask last night if my noise bothered you." I told him it did, but I understood he needed his CPAP, and I hadn't known they were so loud. He said that no, it was his white noise app that helped him sleep and he turned it WAY down that night.

      @HamelinSong@HamelinSong3 ай бұрын
    • I don't mean that they would need to enforce it strictly. Movies for Mommies would still allow non-parents in. But everyone would know that there'd be more (accepted) kid noise in that showing. So for flights, it would be a marketing task, not different scheduling. It could be done. Don't be so close-minded.

Babies exist, parents exist, you live in a society and that's just part of being a member of one. Deal with it. When you're in a public space, it's not everyone else's responsibility to keep things extra quiet for your baby, nor should they simply have to tolerate any excessive noise made by you or your baby. I like Kaley, but she is showing a lot of expected celebrity privilege, here. I'm pretty sure that she is worth over $100 million. She can easily afford to fly private, and have as much or as little noise as she wants.

    • Maybe she’s aware that flying a private plane is horrible for the environment. I would say that flying commercial is NOT showing executive privilege.

    • i think they really *do* get mad at the parents. which is... super fkn weird. lol cuz as parents, we don't WANT our kids to cry (or to hurt to be uncomfortable or whatever). it's not the parent's fault & it's not the baby's fault. just a lose-lose all around lol

  • I will say, my parents did not take myself or the other three children on planes, we drove our way across the country on vacations. I guess some ppl will respect others own space on such small areas better than others. so I was wondering, are the streaming services that make movies, is that the equal to straight to video back in the day?

  • To people upset by children on planes: Babies cannot regulate their emotions. they do not understand where they are or what is happening. Now if you are a fully grown adult and are unable to regulate your emotions over something as natural as a cry then i think you need to take a deep hard look at yourself. It's not the child who needs to stop and think about their actions, it is you and your need to complain. If you're that disturbed, imagine how the parent may be feeling, offer them help, assistance, or even just reassurance that they are doing a good job. I have no children of my own but i will always offer a hand to any mother or father in need. Period.

  • Always loved K.C., back from the ‘10 Simple Rules’ days, but I’m having a hard time believing her BF T.P. didn’t know he was dating ‘Penny’ from ‘Big Bang Theory’, only one of the biggest shows in TV history. I get maybe not having watched the show (seeing as they got together after the show ended-though it’s reruns are all over TV), but not knowing anything about his GF’s breakout/biggest role, it never coming up in convo, never seeing anything online, not sure about this story. Made for a funny anecdote though…
