    • I still remember that ,he was second place when it happened,the coverage showed his entire walk throughout the tunnel and then to his yacht,i was laughing all the while it happened and it was that moment kimi became my favourite driver in F1, no press conference bs and pure skill,give that man his gloves , a steering wheel and empty his drinking bottle and that man will stand on top of the podium anyday.

    • All 7 Lewis' titles are less then 1 Kimi's. I hoped Kimi will not retire after this season but the things like they are. Emptiness in my fan heart. Verstappen is closer to young Kimi than any other driver. Wish Kimi had one more win this season but it's almost impossible. Forever the Real Champion 🏆!

  • I’ll never forget that Fisichella trophy. It literally cost him the title that year to Michael on points. He raced the wheels off an unreliable McLaren for 4years. He could have easily been a 5 time champion if the car performed making Michael a 4 time champ. History will tell a different story

    • Kimi admitted his engine failure at the Nurburgring that year ultimately cost him the title. The fact McLaren had to run a year old chassis because their newer car was too fragile to race makes his performances even more impressive. I still feel Suzuka 2005 was his magnum opus.

    • Kimi from 2003 to 2007 was in his best and could outperform anyone on the grid on racecraft and pace. But sadly McLaren those days had reliability issues too much. If McLaren had a more reliable package, he would surely be atleast 3 time world champ considering his form in 03,05. But, his legacy is not defined by titles.

  • I will never understand how he didn't have the most Championships. Lewis has the best car his entire run. Michael had a mix of best car and sheer luck. Kimi had bad luck and amazing talent.

  • The 2005 season is by far the craziest season in terms of pure race speed. Kimis pace was unreal and i have never seen something like that ever again. If you wannt to know Kimi then just watch the 2005 season. Every race was a special one thanks to his ridiculous speed

  • I got my goosebumb when 1. Kimi beat alonso with half second split at Monaco..Which is Alonso is in the fastest car during that time and at his prime.. 2. When his last lap victory from P17..I can see he pushing the limits and beyond the limits..Nobody can beat young Kimi.. Living legend..Leave him alone..He knows what he's doing..

    • @Teodor Alexandrov IMO it has nothing to do with Alfa Romeo themselves. The 3 teams using the Ferrari engine did garbage this season because of the engine penalty for Ferrari. If Ferrari can improve it they have a better chance at fighting in the midfield

  • I remember his days at McLaren and he would have won a couple of Championships with them and beat Ferrari had he not had an unreliable car. He is so underrated, in my opinion one of the best drivers of all time. He will always be in my Top 5 of all time drivers list without a doubt.

    • He will sooner or later do some racing in other races, considering thats what most former racing drivers from Formula One, tend to do. You may retire but you never truly leave world of motorsport till last day of life. Kimi was and always will be one of those drivers who didn't care what media says, he let his talent on the track do the talking.

    • Kimi may have not be the fastest driver, but his skills and technical knowledge is huge, compared other drivers. That's why he is still valuable to any F1 team these days. F1 loses awesome driver and huge personality when kimi end his career.

He is amazing in putting in his own feedback into the setup of the car and is a master of overtaking and tire saving even if he did not have the fastest car on track. That is why I love Kimi and will miss him dearly when he retires!

  • I haven't watched F1 for over a decade, yet I still remember some of these clips like yesterday. Used to wake up/set schedules with my dad so, that we were able to watch each Grand Prix. WRC and F1 were my childhood & Grönholm, Häkkinen and Räikkönen were my idols.

  • I honestly believe Kimi Raikonnen would have been a much bigger name in F1 history if only he were not plagued with car troubles. The man had an insane amount of talent but also an equal amount of bad luck. Greatest thing about it is that this fact never bothered Kimi. While most drivers would care about fame or winning, Kimi was just trying to have fun.

    • I’m a massive Kimi fan but I have to admit he’s getting pretty old (comparatively). He’s 41, has a family and probably doesn’t have the same motivation to win anymore. On top of that he isn’t in the most competitive cars right now and considers it a hobby unlike basically all of the other drivers.
