Today I hit IAA Salvage Auction with the legend @Demonology with some money to spend on stolen Dodge Hellcats & Trackhawks! We find a Dodge Challenger Hellcat that looks BRAND! Another Hellcat that's missing well, almost everything, A three pack of Trackhawks from Good to Bad to REALLY Bad, a Dodge Durango Hellcat and SO much more...
The only problem? We both found a car we want to buy and nit just so happens it's the same one..
Once these cars come up at auction it's going to be time to spend some serious money!

that bare block only hellcat is a really good buy for someone who might need a really good chassis to cage , and stick a built engine and trans into then use as a dedicated drag car

That Magnum is a highly sought after car in the Mopar community. That 6.1 HEMI is gold. The intake manifold alone sells for $800. The 6.1 HEMI also has the best crank out of all the HEMI's.

The glove compartment allows for coding of a new key. There is a plug back there people can connect to. If you can take some extra effort to zip tie that thing somewhere else.. hide it in the dash.. You're good. There is another tap in point in the Trunk behind the passenger side back seat. Now you know. Fix it. I work at place that program vehicles. This is the common tap in points for easy access. The harder part is connecting to the SGW module located behind the radio or something in the driver foot well close to the obd2 port.

That intimidator probably was too expensive a month so they got it stolen the parts that came up missing just happen to be able to change a scat pack or rt into a freak for cheap

@@xxdroppedoffxxiwnl7108 It's crazy, I don't work on the car side of insurance but I am a Property adjuster, and the amount of fraud that we see when it comes to personal belongings and cars is out of the world. Anyone that can tell a pretty detailed and simple story and show proof of ownership with some sort of police report can get paid... It's sad to say but it is what it is...

Guy's son died in a house fire and needed the claim check for housing and my buddy left work and drove 3 hours to personally deliver the check so the guy's life wouldn't be as difficult during such a hardship. The investigation ultimately turned out the guy set fire to his own house and his son was collateral damage...oof

That wagon with the updated Charger front end and a Hellcat drivetrain would be super cool.
To the commenters saying the intimidator challenger was a fraud job, thats incorrect, the engine in that car isn't even the same one the original owner built and put in it, that car had a built 426 helliphant, do research before popping off guesses.
Hope one of you took on the Magnum, there's only a handful of those SRT-8's existing. It's going to be a rare item to ever see again!

That challenger with the transmission, heads and supercharger missing is a insurance job. If it had legitimately been stolen there would have been significantly more damage and that engine would have been pulled out completely rather than time taken to pull the parts specifically

Any advice for buying damaged cars from internet auctions? Up here in New England, there aren’t any wrecked car auctions we can go to in public and inspect before you buy it. I want a low mileage LS7 to swap into my c5
i once owned a Ford 1ton crew cab dually that was black n gray outside with a red interior....never again! it was like riding around inside a used tampon! i was so glad when i sold it though it was a great truck i just couldnt stand the interior!

They left the block and took the rest because of the Vin number not being on the small stuff. These parts were put on another car as an upgrade. So look for the charger that's faster than all the other chargers. Duh!

Correct me if I'm wrong, but the block on the "Intimidator" has a VIN, and not of the removed parts would have, right? You should 1000% buy that Durango to yank the Demon around.

@@scraplifegarage Please say about you buying the Durango. It needs a little drop and some wheels. If you don't get that then I think you should get an Escalade and toss in some forged rods and pistons, a ported LT4 supercharger, cam, LT4 fuel setup, and drop it with some nice wheels.

Buying a trackhawk to tow the demon is something id do, so i give it a 👍
ive bought a bunch of srt8s and people will steal the good drive train and then dump a core engine with a hole or some other damage, when the tow guy picks it up he is just looking at the vin not what. engine is supposed to be in it . also some.people will total out there car this way with mechanical damage ,, get the pay out on insurance and for there engine when they sell it used on the side they just dump a beat blown ass engine in the frame just for insurance

At least where I live in Minnesota, you buy salvage cars from auction, fix them, get the car inspected and if you pass inspection, it will be considered rebuilt

I am wanting to get a car from a junkyard and give my hand at having it restored like you are doing, but it seems like every KZhead expert and YT video says it’s not worth it. This project you’re on is really motivating.

That Magnum is a PERFECT Chargum candidate!
Take the face off a 2015+ Charger and maybe swap out the outdated interior with direct bolt-in/plug'n'play swaps from a 2015+ Charger (dash & BCM, center console, seats) and an 05-09 Chrysler 300 (for the door panels)

The main reason I gave up on trying to buy a Trackhawk or any SRT Dodge/Jeep is because of how stolen they are. They went from being cool and all to being pretty dangerous to own which is sad because they are dope cars.

Lots of newer cars have laminated door glass.
All that does is from the auction by the way they sit there for a while and it's really dusty there and it just blows right in it's very common
What's the point in buying parts cars when no scrap parts seller never properly publishes/lists parts for sale, and when they do they damn near charge oem or higher prices for used parts... seriously it's extremely frustrating that these ppl never take pics of what they actually offer; they never properly list part items; they always think parts are worth full manufacture price; they never list the parts so you have no idea who has what... what kind of business model is it where you expect customers to call up over 1k sellers just to try and find parts they need? Example there are probably 100 srt seats just sitting around and aren't listed anywhere, or if listed they all just share the same pics from other sellers that may not even be the same thing, they also rarely lable item descriptions correctly; so how are buyers able to find the parts we need as we can't because of sellers utter incompetence

my neighbors truck was stolen & he was parked right next to me (well driveway distance). probably didn't take my car because its manual...but even if they tried, i have that tazer so they'd need my pin to drive it just saying that cuz it doesn't matter what kind of car u have, u can be a victim. if you're proactive, you'll lower the risks
