  • Loved that Steinmann tried to go head to head on frenetic hitting. Can't beat the bull that way, but fun to watch!

  • I have the feeling asal is a different beast now 😅 very calm and agressiv at the same time. Could get the top players give a hard time ...

    • He had a dip after the bans as he adjusted to a new style of movement that gets him into less trouble. @@stevehughes1510

  • Steinmann is a great player. Saw him in Hong Kong. Well beaten by a very classy Asal. Nice to see him playing so cleanly these days. Also nice to see genuine efforts to play the ball all the time now. It is making the game so much more enjoyable to watch.

  • Asal has it all he’s young, powerful, very agile for a big guy, great shot power with a tremendous reach,I was one of his critics previously,he’s proved now he doesn’t need these tactics now,I think he’s going to take some beating now👍🥳

  • Tough conditions? Steinmann is a fit guy but he was blowing in game 1.

  • Asal constantly moving back into his opponent or the line to the ball. It feels like referees have given up telling him

    • I didn't see any movement that isn't exactly what everyone on the tour does. Moving back towards the middle after hitting the ball is deeply ingrained in the habits of top squash players (would that we would all do so!) that everyone does it automatically even if it happens to be back into one's opponent. If it's egregious it gets called, but otherwise you just have to let the players play.

    • I came here for this comment. 50% of the time Asal moves back through his opponents line, he is often in the way, it must be a nightmare to play him. Not cool IMO

    • @@steverogers7473 perhaps you're responding to Asal's reputation more than his actions in this match. Obviously he's notorious for blocking in previous seasons, but I honestly didn't see any bad movements in these highlights. Lots of praise for his play in the comments. Steinmann didn't seem to think it a nightmare to play Asal, very friendly at the conclusion of it.
